How can i change the default application for the use of the contactadress in cm7?
If i touch the adress, then maps Starts. I want to start an other app. How Can i change IT?

maybe you dont understand me.
If u go into your contacts, to hold your finger on the "adress" information, then the system will show you some possibilities, to choose it for some applications.
For example: I have installed a Bus+Train-App. instead of typing the adres letter by letter you just have to go into the contacts and click on the stored adress, to import it in the "bus+train" application.
some time ago i could choose this "export"-possibility. but now i could only choose the application of googlemaps....where i can export the contact-adress-information to navigate to the adres.
how can i change the default options to export for example the adres to an application, i wish?

Try uninstall the app, clear the defaults of the other conflicting app, reinstall it back, and repeat the setting of default.
Anyone know how to set a gmail specific tone and a diff tone for another email such as hotmail??
Also how to set tones for specific contacts? ?

For the e-mail issue, I suppose it depends on the app you are using...I use Enhanced E-mail and in the account settings for each individual account you can specify a unique notification tone.
As far as contacts go, go to the Contacts tab of the dialer app, click on the contact you wish to assign ringtone to, select Menu and Options then select your ringtone...repeat as necessary.
If you don't want to use the supplied ringtones, I think if you create a folder on your sdcard (or maybe internal storage) called 'media' then sub-folder 'audio' then sub-folders there for 'ringtones', 'notifications', and 'alarms' then place your personal mp3/ogg files in the appropriate folder that should work (may have to reboot for system to recognize the tones). Alternately, you can just put the tones in the appropriate folder in the 'system/media/audio' folders (will need to mount the system as read/write in order to copy files over - I use ES File Explorer...just go into settings to enable rooted options then mount system).
Hello, I must edit all my contacts to remove area code. My new mobile carrier doesn't support it. I've tryed export it from google to csv -dos, csv outlook. Then I edited with Excel and removed the numbers, but when I try to import it, everything went wrong, without any configuration/
Does someone know any app that to this job? Or someone know how must I proceed? Thank you !
hey
why don't you define in excel maximum digits as the length of your numbers?
for example if you have this number stored:
Eytan
10123456789 (1 is the area code)
execute in excel so it saves the last 10 digits so it'll apear like this:
Eytan
0123456789
you should limit the numbers of characters in a cell.
i actually don't remember the exact steps but i'm sure you could find it with search, it should shorten your "work".
good luck !
You should be able to export from Google as CSV edit in Excel then reload as CSV
actually I tried all those things, and when I try to export it again to google, I lost the previous settings.
I found a brasilian app "operadora DDD" and it does the job! It´s in portuguese, but u can acess the app, then UNCHECK "ativar", and press menu on your phone. U must chose "alterar agenda", click on the number and try every option. when u check some box, the number change showing your choice (with/out " ( ) ", "-", "+" etc)

I used to use Contacts Clean-up by Peter Baldwin, but that is not compatible with newer versions of Android. If you have access to an older phone, you could use that to edit them and then resync to the new phone. That's probably what I'm going to do tomorrow...
hmm, this is interesting and yet frustrating. I'm also in need to edit my contacts in batch, especially to change the area code and include a country code, but it seems that the .csv that I've edited cannot be read by google contacts.
anybody can get around with this?

In this thread I have decided to share guide on how to print WhatsApp messages from Android phone without using any software. If you’re regular WhatsApp users and feel need to print some data of your conversation, then keep reading.
Steps to Print WhatsApp Messages from Android Phone
1. First of all you need to open the WhatsApp Messenger on your Android Phone.
2. After that open the chat windows of the users who chat you want to save and take the printout.
3. Once you’re in the chat window of your friend tap on menu key and it will show you list of options. You need to tap on More.
4. When you tap on More. You will see a black colour popup on your homescreen with different. You need to tap on Email Conversation.
5. Now you will notice another white colour popup on your homescreen with two different options which are:
Without Media
Attach Media
Note: If you choose Attach Media you will able to save all your conversation with all the data including video or image file. You can choose Without Media if you want to exclude video or image files.
6. After choosing the option in above step you will again get a popup with different email client. I personally prefer Gmail for this guide. You need to tap on Gmail icon.
7. Now you will find that all the conversations are automatically attached to Gmail. Here you just need to fill the email id and send it.
8. Open the web version of the Gmail using laptop or PC and you will notice all the images and text attached.
9. To print conversation you just need to click on the attached file in which all the chats are save.
10. Once you will see above chat just give Ctrl+P command to print and it will take you to the printer setting page. Now from here simply take the printout of the chat.
Note: In case you’re using Google Chrome you can also save the file as PDF file.
Like that you can also take printout of the image which is in the chat. So this is how you can print WhatsApp messages from Android phone without using any software. Try this and let me know whether it work for you or not?

Step 2. Export Chat History
Select "Email chat". Then choose chats you want to print from the list. Next, alternatively choose "WITHOUT MEDIA" and "ATTACH MEDIA". Please note that you must have an email client on the phone so that the app can transfer chat history there.

In EMUI 9, stock Calendar app added "Map" button when creating a new appointment, to find the location.
However in order to work properly you need to press that button and find the location by scrolling and moving the map to the correct place. There is no search option to search for the location you want.
In addition, if you simply type the location you want and save the appointment, the "Show on Map" button in the event opens another app (amap) which does not work in Europe, so you cannot navigate there.
Does anyone have the same issue? Any solution to this, apart from using another app?
I have tested right now:
- I can create a new task without entering the location
- if I write the place name manually, I can't open it in the map, nothing is happening after pressing the location button
- if I select the place on the map, I can open it later in Firefox and Google Maps
IMO, stock Calendar app works good.
A pain in the ass work around is manually typing address in, then when you want to view it on map, click and long hold the address and it will open Google maps and search the address.
It sucks that it won't do it by default, but the weather information on the calendar/schedule needs the location set properly to pull weather data
But the Europe address seems to work for me

Thank you very much for your reply. Indeed your suggestion works, with one small tradeoff, the address should be put in English. If I put the address in Greek (my native language) it will not work. But for sure is better than nothing. Thank you very much

Correct, this is how it works, I would prefer though to have a search option on the map, instead of selecting it. But we will have to wait for Huawei to improve stock Calendar app for it. Thank you
