[Q] how can i go back to stock tmobile rom? - HTC Amaze 4G

i noticed there is a problem in the ruu roms thread or whatever. is there another way to get back to stock.. ive also heard there is verison that has wifi calling.. which one is that and can i have that one?

I have a backup of my original Amaze stock from; after full wipe and restore I get stuck in HTC logo.
Do I need to revert to original radio?

The T mobile one has it from what i have heard. But it is a t mobile dependent feature from what i i can understand. Tobget back to stock, you have to use the RUU. But the t mobile one released on here has issues apparently, go request the proper one from android-dev

You shouldn't have been able to replace the radio due to S-ON.
But, yeah. You should be able to flash the T-mobile PH85IMG in the dev section.

He's s-off, no need to relock the bootloader, did you think about getting info on the device first before just saying restore to stock? Get his experience level as well, if he got stuck on this, probably clueless on basic stock restoration.

Anyways on to the individual at hand.
What's your device info? Like hboot version, what android version were you on before trying to flash? ICS or GB?
Here's a basics run down on how to get things going again.
There's a stock ruu/ota thread in the dev section, grab the stock GB ruu for your device, put your phone into fastboot mode (check in the amaze bible thread how to do this), restore your device, if it's a zip file for your carrier, rename it to PH85IMG and place it on your sd card, reboot into bootloader and then hit volume up to restore the stock ruu.
If it's an exe file, put it into fastboot and run the exe file, follow all steps and restore the device.
Once done, update to ICS via the software update option available on your device under settings>about phone>software update
Once you're on ICS, flash a custom recovery via hasoon's tool, then reflash the rom you were trying to flash in the beginning.
Ask any further questions right here.

[Q] Sprint can't seem to activate EVO with custom ROM - how do i return to stock?

From what I've found, I should be able to unroot or use an RUU depending on my version.
I'm running CM10.0.0.0. I can't seem to find what version RUU I have on the phone.
It seems I need to go back to stock in order to activate the phone. How do I go about doing that, or where do I find my RUU version info in CM10?
Thanks!

Oh, didn't realize any stock sense rom was good enough. Sweet!
Now I don't know which ones work for my phone - I tried flashing one and it didn't boot up.
I'm just going to go searching for stock roms and try each one, unless one of you experts would know which should work with a phone that can run CM10.

you could try installing the Xposed Framework installer, and then grab that mod (the longpress back button menu option) and enable it. I think it should work. correct me someone, if I'm wrong.
Personally, I just went ahead and flashed ROMs from the WWE HTC One forum here on XDA dev - [HTC One (M7)] since they have the mods I want, and they work fine with our AT&T model. LTE working as well. I do think there's probably a slight issue with mismatched FIRMWARE and base version, because my LTE reception is like 2-3 bars on ROMs like ARHD 5.1 or TrickDroid 4.0 (based on 129.xx.xxx.5) whereas it's full-bar on the stock AT&T ROM.
hope I helped.. hit me up with any questions. the Xposed framework stuff you can actually find a link to in the ARHD thread (careful, don't install ARHD 6 right now, there's some issues people are having. 5.1 is good). Paul Obrien from MoDaCo hosts all the Xposed stuff.
I'll be flashing this tomorrow after I unbox my one

Yeah I was running ARHD but decided to just come back and stay stock and rooted. Didn't really have any issues or anything. Just wanted to get back to stock. But now find myself missing the Menu button to get rid of the black bar on a lot of apps I use. Wish devs would update their stuff lol I mean ICS been out about a year already.

Can I return my phone to the at&t store with this rom if I uninstall the root? Unfortunately my HTC One has one small stuck pixel and it is really bugging me since it is very noticeable in dark colors, so I think I am going to return it and get a new one.

I've taken phones back that were rooted and unlocked and I have never had an issue. I've never had a rep check to see if SU is installed or boot into bootloader to check the status. As long as it cut on and off and wasnt damaged I was good to go.

The kernel actually doesn't have much to do with your situation, but that's another explanation for another time. All you need to do is follow my guide for the unbranded HTC Amaze and you should be able to get your phone running you may even be able to go to post number 2 and get it working for now on GB
First things first, what company is your device from?
I tried

Problems restoring to stock

I converted my HTC One to a google edition by flashing the ruu, changing the modelid and cid. I tried reverting to stock sense by restoring a nandroid but when it booted to Android the touchscreen did not work. When I restored the nandroid I did not change the modelid or cic but I don't think that would have mattered. Do I need to also restore the bootloader ?

You need to restore an earlier firmware. Follow the instructions in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2355814. On page 5 i posted a firmware that replaces the same partitions (other than system) that the GPe conversion changes out. If you don't want to change you MID just change the android-info.txt file to match your current MID (PN072000) and it will flash.
Good luck...if this helps let the folks in that thread know, and as always love the thanks button.

No...just system and boot usually. You can grab cache and data too...but not the other partitions. Be scary always writing the firmware on restore. Mucking with firmware is risky business.
Let us know how you make out after flashing firmware!

Complete HTC newb here so apologies if its been repeated or if there's already tons of threads on it, but I can't seem to find a solid all in one revert to 100% stock thread... that said, the crack flasher in me got too antsy and I unlocked the bootloader, fastboot flashed a recovery, and put a custom 4.2.2 ROM (ViperOne) on my One. I liked stock just fine and want to go back to it now. As far as I know I didn't s-off or change my firmware or anything important, I just did those 3 things so would I be ok just flashing that T-Mobile stock zip posted above and then fastboot flashing the stock t-mo recovery? I am not a flashing newb, I know adb and fastboot and how to flash various packages.
tl;dr unlocked and flashed a custom recovery to put on a custom 4.2.2 ROM. do I need to do anything special besides flashing a T-Mobile "stock" package and reverting recovery?

You don't need to be S-On for OTA's. Only locked bootloader with stock recovery.
