Really well .where I'm from this means 2 times half would be 1/2
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk

2x means "two times" everywhere, but obviously he cant have twice available ram. if he does ... i want it too!

You can also reclaim some megabytes by integrating dalvik cache to system...use titanium backup...also...get apps2rom from market and integrate some apps from data partition to rom ...but it is irreversible...I m not responsible.
Sent from my MT11i using XDA

Maybe it means that he has 20 to 29 Mb available?

Personally I think they mean they now have twice the free space they originally had, but want more
Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk

interesting debate here

try systemcleanup ;-)

only viable conclusion i get is he has mistakenly written 2x instead of 1x/2 ....and he wants more free memory.

[Q] How much is your dedicated user available space?

just to clarify my own doubt, can u guys post whats ur user available space? no matter what rom u use, stock or custom, post it here please. btw to know how much is urs, just open default taskmanager and see on summary tab.
Around 15mb left on system rom
40mb internal
I have around 80 apps installed.
Using gingerreal which has been the best rom for me when it comes to free space.

Seems strange. Normally you could call it a formatting change: ext4 uses up more space for allocation than ext4, but this isn't ROM specific. Perhaps Samsung switched to a different supplier for their flash memory, perhaps due to Japan tsunami and earthquakes, as that is/was where quite a large supply came from.

Modded Dropbox APK with +23GB of space

Original thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1550699
1.) Uninstall any Dropbox on your device.
2.) Download and install this : http://www.mediafire.com/?yjvzu2mdrybdrqt
3.) Login, and after about 10 mins you'll get an email that says you've got 23GB of space more
4.) Uninstall modded app, and install original if you want.
No need for root. Don't know if it works on froyo, but it works great for me on MS2 and CM9
I'm not responsible for any damage to your account.
Proof that it works :

Got my extra 23GB. Now on 26GB. Enough for now. It's stupid I can't use it on shared folders because it uses everybody's space...
Got the email:
"Thanks for supercharging your HTC device with Dropbox! To get the most out of your Dropbox and claim your extra 23 GB of space, visit our Getting Started guide!" (although I don't own an HTC phone)
But no account quota increase so far. Let's wait and see.
Thanks
Doesn't works.
The email says get 23GB after you do 'getting started' but on the link provided in the mail you get only 250 mb.

Just test last night it work perfect for me and my friend, Thanks
Try this apk, if the op apk doesn't work on you!
http://www.mediafire.com/?10qjxw2hcq489wx
I think that it's because of your ROM, cause if you're using GB rom or CM9 (ICS) then your phone model in build.prop will say MB526 and that model can't be found in dropbox database....
try with rheza's apk...
original thread was closed so I think that we won't see any updates...

Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
the ram is onboard. if u can reprogram the phone and solder the ram to the main board then it is possible
It isn't possible at all, the memory isn't on the board but sitting on top of the CPU and connected through the substrate. It's not possible outside of an industrial level.
I did it...now i have 1TB RAM...

you get to keep the files and so on, you just CANNOT upload anymore until the space is freed backup. Or at least this is what used to happen.
The way competition keeps forcing companies to improve their offerings, plus with technology getting cheaper all the time, I wouldn't be surprised that Dropbox ups its normal limits by the time your two years are up anyhow. Or if they don't, some other service will and you can just migrate to them.
I've stated this before, but I figure its worth saying
You can earn free space by using the camera upload feature, after a certain amount of images are uploaded they give you more space. I currently have 27 GB of space because of it
And I only have uploaded about 900 pictures
