How Can I Save These Desktop Bookmarks? - HTC EVO 3D

I Can't think of anyway to Save these Desktop Bookmarks Without going through them all 1 by 1...
Anyone know of a way to Save Desktop Bookmarks?
Thanks in Advance...

Screenshot Below This One, Didn't Work Lol...

Screenshot Below...

You can use tb to back up the bookmarks/stock browser. Then if you change roms just restore data only and you should be good.

I probably should of explained Better, My Bad...
I actually have them backed up with TB but the problem is I have so many damn bookmarks that when I Flash a New Rom I get crazy going through all of'em so I basically put shortcuts to the links in a folder on my desktop!
So my issue is I Don't wanna have to go through all again 1 by 1 to add the shortcuts again!
Know of anyway to save just my shortcuts?
And Thanks for the Suggestion!

Yup depends on how many you got Lol. Open up the link you wanna save. The copy the url link from the address bar. Then open up root explorer and hit menu. The create a new folder label it mybookmarks. Then open the folder and create a new file and label it bookmarks. Then long press the file and select open in text editor. The c&p the link. Repeat the process for all the links you wanna save. To set them back up on a new rom just navigate to the bookmark file you created and "open in text editor" and copy the link. Then open up your browser and paste the link in the address bar. Once the page is open hit menu and add it to your bookmarks. Then you can add them back to your folder on your home screen. Hope that helps. It's kind of a long process depending on how many bookmarks you keep on your homescree but once its done you won't have to do it again unless you want to add or subtract a link from your bookmarks file.

Yea in the hero forums I think you asked the same thing one time and I posted the same thing Lol. Man as far as I know that's the easiest way. You could try one of those bookmarks to SD apps to see how they work. I've personally never tried them but a take a shot.

[Q] samsung galaxy email apk

i take no credit for this as i found it on the i9000 forums. this only wants on android 2.2 by the way.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=810454
if you replace this apk with the one in your system/app folder, it will work without you having to open the apk and install it. just make sure you back up your orginal email.apk as this one has one problem.
it needs to be resized to fit our phone, we are missing the refresh button at the bottom of the app and it also cuts off the bottom of emails.
what im asking is, can someone resize the dimension of the apk to fit our phone ?
Merci beaucoup monsieur!
Is there anyone that can work on this I tried using the one from sgs tools but it wouldn't load email at all looks nice though using nero v3

a member in the captive forum named smoothone posted an apk that works on my vibrant with nerov3. however, some are saying that they get camera FC but here's his quote
"Here is a modified Email apk that shows the bottom of the email app that has been cut of when installed on non Galaxy Tab phones. The bottom of this app is where you can manually sync your mail and a menu lets you do multiple delete.
(This has to be pushed to system/app or put there with Root Explorer, it is not an installable apk)

I've been using the one by Smoothone since the day after he posted it and am having no problems retrieving my emails from my Google and Yahoo accounts. I'm using Nero V3.
After you push the apk to system\app go to your phone settings, applications, manage applications and find your email app and clear your data and cache. This had solved many issues for lots of users.

WIN.
I'm using the app from Smoothone, the feature set is great and it doesn't enforce my organizations exchange security policy, so I can use it without having to set it to the stupid numeric lock screen, or allow a remote administrator to wipe the phone.
+1
Thanks for finding this. I tried this when it was first posted awhile back and liked it except the size issue. Glad someone fixed it for us. Again thanks for finding.

Open Root explorer
Navigate to system/app
Scroll down to email.apk and change to email.bak (saves apk for later, should you want to revert back) to do that just long press and use 'rename'.
Find the email.apk file that you downloaded, long press it, and then either 'move' it or 'cut' or 'copy' it and 'paste' it back into system/app
Alternatively, I like to copy the original .apk and paste the copy in a created folder called stock ROM apps. Then just move the new .apk over the original one in the system/app file. No need to change the names and you can always go back by copy pasting the old one over the top of the new one.
Hope this helps
I've pushed it, but I can't get it to load my inbox. Deleted the files in App manager, but it still doesn't do anything to load the mails. It keeps saying that it's loading, but never finishes. I was able to send a message to my gmail account with it, but I was not able to retrieve one to the inbox that I returned in reply. The outbox works. The inbox is not.
Any suggestions?
P.S.
How about a black version instead of the cartoony blue that Samsung's got running through TouchWiz?
thanks Much appreciated MonteCristo22

Assuming you copied the email.apk to the root of your internal. Open root explorer. Find the folder called 'sdcard' that will be your internal. Click on that and find the new email.apk. Sometimes there will be a duplicate with a ._ in front of it. It isn't that one. It will just says email.apk and have a little android next to it. Long press on that icon and use the move command.
Then use the back button to go to the previous screen and you should see a folder named 'system'. Tap that file. The second file on the next screen is the app file. Click that. Now at the bottom of the screen there should be a button that says 'paste'. That button became active when you used the 'move' command. Press the paste button and it will move the new email.apk to that folder.

There is no PUSH option in this email.....
Edit: there is in 2nd one.....
Edit: both apps are ****ed. 2nd has PUSH, but PUSH doesn't work at least with mail2web.com......
Anyone have a different working Email APK file? I can get exchange to work but sbcglobal will not load even though I can send mail with the app through it so it is authenticating.

Is this Impossible?

As far as I know phones are like computers in many ways, Except for the one feature where basically items can be placed on our Homescreens...
I was wondering if through a app or some other way if it would be possible to place things on our Homescreens? Such as maybe a Document, Picture, or even a App (That's Not Installed) like with a Computer? Instead of always having to Search for those type of things in our Sdcards?
Probably Not Possible... But thinking about it lately, I guess it'd be kind of Handy!
Any feedback is Definitely welcome!

How to: Polaris Office on EVO. Its system-hidden

http://blog.onthegosolutions.com/index.php/2012/05/01/hidden-power-saver-menu-htc-one-x/
this trick to access the power save menu, do the exact same thing, only after you check "start another activity" --> the select "select an activity or shortcut" --> stay on the activity list and scroll down to Polaris Office, and select it. Bam, now you have an icon app link to polaris office front page, allowing you to create new documents or edit documents.
This minimalistic text app is AWESOME.
found it in the one X forums.
Cool, but begs the question, why is Polaris Office installed with no app menu shortcut?
this is an excellent question. I was so mad at my 3d for being root locked and I couldn't get polaris off, but its here. and works fine. a BUNCH of stuff is hidden on this phone. I also wonder why
It's integrated into Sense 4.0. That's the only thing I can think of.
By the way, any replacement launcher will let you see the Polaris Office App like normal.
Here's another solution for Polaris Office:
Install ES file Explorer.
Open the Application Manager.
Scroll and find Polaris Office.
Long press and choose create short cut.
You now have a proper shortcut complete with the right Icon.
you know,I have es file explorer,I did this and HOLY SHISTER there a lot of apps with no links to. ringtone trimmer? picasa? soundhound? polaris? this rocks

There definitely are. They all have links inside other sense apps and things like that.

Do you have to be rooted for ES to find polaris in the application manager? Im not rooted and its not showing and "hidden" apps
no, you don't have to be rooted to make shortcuts to them.
neither way needs root actually

ES cant/wont/doesnt find it on my phone using jdogg's method. Any thoughts on why this might be?
If you don't see it by default in app managet. Select Category - All. You will see them then.

I noticed that when I installed any replacement launchers, these icons became visible and I was able to open these. The only bad thing, I have several of these as paid apps like Soundhound. So I have two entries of some the files. But still, not sure why they were hidden.

I haven't tried it yet. But regardless they all show up on Android pro widgets bookmarks widget. I have to scroll to get to my bookmarks. Kind of annyoimg you can't delete them thru the browser

Yes you can, open browser hit the bookmark tab at the top right of browser. When bookmarks opens hit menu > delete, and then small boxes appear at the corner of each bookmark click which ever ones multiple at a time. Then hit delete. I have done it every time I flash a ROM. I did it on stock as well.
In the bookmark Window you can also hit menu then have the option to change order move to folder etc. I just deleted all the stock ones I know I don't use then for the ones I will use I make a folder titled "stock" and place the couple of them in there. :good:

Thanks for the info. I also found that if you force stop it, then clear data and cache they will also be deleted.

I believe you are looking for /system/csc/customer.xml
Deleting that file and clearing browser data got rid of them for me.
Are your Google bookmarks syncing to the phone? I know Chrome does it but the stock browser is much more powerful with text reflow and flash.

Unless you are coding the app, you don't have to worry about that stuff. Apps should just show up as an available option after they're installed.

Sounds good, but didn't work like that for some reason. I have Notepad Pro by laoye. I uninstalled and redownloaded it. When I tap on my text file to open it, the app isn't listed there. On my Note 1 it was. Any ideas?
Shows up for me when I try to open a text file in Solid Explorer. Solid Explorer also gives you the option to open with other apps as you can see in the screen shot

I had created a shortcut of the .txt file on my homescreen using ES File Explorer. It used to work, but not now. Maybe I will uninstall both and try again. Thanks for trying.
