Yes you can, open browser hit the bookmark tab at the top right of browser. When bookmarks opens hit menu > delete, and then small boxes appear at the corner of each bookmark click which ever ones multiple at a time. Then hit delete. I have done it every time I flash a ROM. I did it on stock as well.
In the bookmark Window you can also hit menu then have the option to change order move to folder etc. I just deleted all the stock ones I know I don't use then for the ones I will use I make a folder titled "stock" and place the couple of them in there. :good:

Thanks for the info. I also found that if you force stop it, then clear data and cache they will also be deleted.

I believe you are looking for /system/csc/customer.xml
Deleting that file and clearing browser data got rid of them for me.
Are your Google bookmarks syncing to the phone? I know Chrome does it but the stock browser is much more powerful with text reflow and flash.

All I seem to be able to do is add them. Failing a 'proper' way to remove them is there a folder I can get to and delete them?
Phone is unrooted standard TMobile UK affair.
Which browser? If just the stock browser, just long touch the bookmark until it gives you a menu. Delete bookmark is one of the options.

That's what you'd think isn't it but unfortunately not the case on my phone. Delete is conspicuous by it's absence. I could if I wished
Open
Add shortcut to home
Share Link
Copy Link
Set as Homepage
but that's it!
Just spoken to T-mobile who were clueless. Told me to call Motorola. They did give me the correct number though and after a couple of IVR selections I got to talk to a real person. They told me the same that i should have a delete option. I then noticed that bookmarks I added do have a delete option. So it looks like the 22 preloaded T-Mobile bookmarks I'm stuck with!
Thanks anyway and if someone knows a way round this I'd be grateful.
All bookmarks can be deleted, added and edited using the Moto Phone Portal on a non rooted Atrix from a browser on another device.
On an Atrix originally destined for a carrier, mine is from Vodafone Germany, the first ten or so bookmarks cannot be deleted by the phone browser even if the phone is unlocked, bookmarks thereafter have the delete option enabled in the phones bookmark options. eg. You will see the delete option appear in the remaining bookmarks.
I use the Moto Phone Portal to change the initial 10 or so bookmarks to ones likely to be used permanently - the rest of the bookmarks can be fully edited within the phone.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Indeed it did. Thanks very much. You'd think my operator or Motorola might have thought of that when I rang them! I have created a folder on my home screen with shortcuts to my favourite websites so that actually works better for me but all the same thanks again as this was annoying.
I Can't think of anyway to Save these Desktop Bookmarks Without going through them all 1 by 1...
Anyone know of a way to Save Desktop Bookmarks?
Thanks in Advance...
Screenshot Below This One, Didn't Work Lol...

You can use tb to back up the bookmarks/stock browser. Then if you change roms just restore data only and you should be good.

I probably should of explained Better, My Bad...
I actually have them backed up with TB but the problem is I have so many damn bookmarks that when I Flash a New Rom I get crazy going through all of'em so I basically put shortcuts to the links in a folder on my desktop!
So my issue is I Don't wanna have to go through all again 1 by 1 to add the shortcuts again!
Know of anyway to save just my shortcuts?
And Thanks for the Suggestion!
Yup depends on how many you got Lol. Open up the link you wanna save. The copy the url link from the address bar. Then open up root explorer and hit menu. The create a new folder label it mybookmarks. Then open the folder and create a new file and label it bookmarks. Then long press the file and select open in text editor. The c&p the link. Repeat the process for all the links you wanna save. To set them back up on a new rom just navigate to the bookmark file you created and "open in text editor" and copy the link. Then open up your browser and paste the link in the address bar. Once the page is open hit menu and add it to your bookmarks. Then you can add them back to your folder on your home screen. Hope that helps. It's kind of a long process depending on how many bookmarks you keep on your homescree but once its done you won't have to do it again unless you want to add or subtract a link from your bookmarks file.

Yea in the hero forums I think you asked the same thing one time and I posted the same thing Lol. Man as far as I know that's the easiest way. You could try one of those bookmarks to SD apps to see how they work. I've personally never tried them but a take a shot.

First I know how to clear the defaults in the settings in the apps section. After you do that when you click a link your browsers you have downloaded come up and can select which one you one and check the bottom for default. I have been using Dolphin since I got the phone, but I wanna use ICS browser plus browser. I went to the apps and cleared defaults under Dolphin so now each time I click a link it directs me thru the stock browser without even asking which one I wanna use. I always keep going to the apps the stock browser and clear the cache and clear the default, but after I back out and click a link it takes me right back through the stock browser. I go right back to the settings and its still showing its the default browser even after 10 secs earlier I cleared it. Any suggestions as why this is happening
Select your default browser under settings/app associations.

When I took some pictures and opened my gallery I noticed a "Blinkfeed" style gallery with "Friends" etc.....Here's the thing...I don't want that crap in my gallery...I actually like Blinkfeed in that it is basically a nicer looking widget for my social apps...but I don't care to see that **** in my gallery when it's already on my homescreen.....I've tried to find ways to disable it on facebook...but to no avail....I'm kind of confused as to why it's even on there and not just the pictures I took or downloaded....Not sure I described exactly what I mean....I'm coming from a Samsung Infuse and never saw that...although it's gallery file manager was crazy enough.

Click the menu button in the top right (The three dots) then select ADD ONLINE SERVICE and just unselect the ones you don't want to see
Yeah, I'm kind of annoyed with that as well. I don't have Facebook, and I also turned off syncing with Google Photos, DropBox, Flickr and Picasa. Yet, I still have a blank "friends" block in my gallery. I'm not sure how to get rid of that. Went into "apps" and tried the method of deleting the cache and data and starting over, but it's still there. Oh well.

Hi.
I first time use an s9+, and have some small, but annoying issue. I have kiwi browser installed, and I can't set it as a default browser. Or to be exact I can, and I did, but yet if I click on any link from social media, it still opens them with samsung browser. I never used a samsung before, so I would like to ask, what's the trick to fix this? And at this piont, looks like I'm also not able to disable samsung browser, and chrome as well. Is there any way to block those?

Hi, thanks, but it is set to kiwi, and looks like it ignores it. Also the section above lets me delete the defaults, and after I set kiwi again, but no changes with the behaviour, still opens in samsung browser. Also in that section where I should set links, it's inactive.
I just recently posted this answer in another post, worked for me on the latest Android 11 hope it helps you too

Google is being so annoying lately... I had this same problem and found a solution:
just install a browser that you aren't going to use (or one already on your device) and then set it as the default browser. Then delete that app (uninstall it) and the default browser will be back set to none.
Just super annoying because if you hit the button again later to set a default browser you'll have to do this all over again
