[Q] Camera Problems - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone, last week fell in a river and when I got out of the river, and dried my phone out, it had black spots on the camera, but further investigation led me to believe that the lens was not the problem because I cleaned it out with alcohol. nothing would make the spots go away. I was wondering if it was a problem with the phone but that was wrong because I tried the front facing camera and it works fine. I really don't know what to do please help me! The warranty is no longer valid because I unlocked bootloader.

You can try searching for ways to clean the camera. I have heard different mods to clean it. But it takes some searching and looking. There was one for example for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. That is one you could use for reference.

[Q] (HELP) Vibrant camera problems!!!!!!

A few months ago i washed my vibrant. dried it out etc. Got it working fine except that the camera was forcing closed all of the time and also caused it to overheat. so long story short i took the camera out and it worked fine except for the camera obviously. i ordered new oem vibrant cameras online and went to put one of them in now i have a weird problem the camera works but the power button doesnt. i was messing around with it and found if the camera board is mounted upside down the power button works and camera doesnt but this obviously wont work seeing that the camera cant mount in that position and still be able to put the phone back together . i know this is really strange and i probably will not find anyone on earth that is having this problem but just thought id throw it out there and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Couple of things, If you have a oem camera and you make it upside down the power button works then there is something that is shorting between there, try using some saran wrap as an insulator and try that to see if that solves the problem. Also, use a magnifying glass and look very carefully. I would guess you will find some of the insulating protective coating (conformal coating) has a scratch leaving something exposed.
Hope that helps
I will try thanks for ur response I needed help beyond my knowing I appreciate it will try later and post back

[Q] Samsung SGSII Camera problem

Hi,
Someone has encountered this problem so far?
As per attachment, today have noticed a kind of a shadow that is appearing in all photos.
At first I thought it was some dust at the back of the lens cover
So I opened it's back cover carefully and cleaned the dust, and also the main camera, however the problem persists and it seems within the camera module.
The phone has never been exposed to humid environment & also kept in good care. Still under warranty.
Should I contact the supplier or such thing would not be considered to cover the warranty?
Thanks !
SGS2 Cognition S2 V1.6
Android V2.3.5
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
Send it back.
I've got the exact same issue and it has only appeared today after nearly 3 months of usage. I dont know what has happened. Have you got a solution yet? thanks
One factory reset .
Two restore stock rom .
Three wipe custom rom counter .
Four return to a service centre .

Hey Guys,
I sent it back with some more problems including crappy voice calls...
seems like camera lens has been damaged or dust stuck there
Camera lens has been replaced, must be some kind of a fungus. It happens on most other camera lenses.
Problem occurred again some 8months later!

[Q] Touchscreen not responding

Hi folks
Just inherited a very worn out one year old Xperia X10 from my son. Been trying to resurrect it.
About 2 or 3 months ago the touchscreen started to become non-responsive occasionally. Admittedly, I didn't look at it for him at the time. Then he dropped it down the loo (think - hope! - there was only water in it at the time). We dried it out in the hotpress and it worked ok but still with intermittent touchscreen not working.
He got a Blackberry from Santa, so a couple of weeks ago I inherited the Xperia. The screen was cracked in several places and totally non-responsive. Rather than chuck it in the bin, I thought I'd try and fix it up. So I bought a new screen on ebay and the other night I dismantled it and fitted the new screen. Touchscreen is still totally non-responsive. There was a slight rust on the perforated metal plate at the back of the screen which I carefully cleaned with WD40. All the connections and circuits look ok. I've updated it successfully on both PC Companion and SEUS.. I've also tried flashing using instructions from this forum but cannot get it right (most flashtool symbols greyed out). I have a feeling that it's a simple problem but just can't get there. The screen display is fine, I can get the camera and the keyboard up using the buttons. But damned if I can get the touchscreen to work. I feel the problem harks back to when the screen was intermittent - it still worked after the water/screenbreak, but not that well.
Anybody got any ideas or should I bin it? (Can't seem to get any worthwhile advice on the WWW - happened upon this forum while searching and thought - "This is my MAN". (One suggestion I saw on the web was to try a new battery - can't see how this would make a difference, present battery working fine. Also, I wondered if the proximity sensor could be on all the time?)

[Q] Circular shadow on xperia z2 camera?

So, i was up late last night when i opened the camera app to test something,
i noticed a circular shadow,
so i wiped the camera, still there, gave it a wash, still there,
checked the lens and it was fine, not a single mark,
yet this circular shadow was still there
So im guessing a spec of dirt on the lens?
anyway this morning i wake up and yep still there,
but i believe its moved its now in the center of the screen (was to the left before)
so i left it upright all day hoping it was gonna go, but it hasn't moved,
so could any of you tell me what i should do?
what i can do?
what you would do?
thanks alot and btw ive got no warranty so that aint an option
UPDATE:
Just came across this thread i have completely forgotten about, so just to inform anyone if they have a similar problem,
in the end i just choose to ignore it and ended up completely forgetting about it, the phone is almost 2 years old now and i went to have a look for any marks but couldn't find anything, so either it just went overtime or my eyesight's failing...

If you washed it bedore it got the marks its probably condensation inside. I wrote this a couple days ago, give it a try and like it if it works.

I can't see anything there but if you see something there then I guess your eyes are better than mine. Either way, you might want to check and see whether that's not GCHQ/MI5 looking over your shoulder. #justsaying...
Hmm it is a hardware issue
Its almost unnoticable, honnestly i say ignore it
If it realy bugs you try to get a replacement

Xperia z3 camera whitescreen

After briefly holding my xperia z3 under running water, my camera now only shows a white screen. I was only going to clean my screen, and made sure all the ports were properly closed. 1st there was fog in my lens, but that's gone now.
Q: will the white screen of the camera become usable after some time too?

I too had a same problem with my Z1, it was similar like you, at the end the result was a hardware problem I changed my camera.
The lens got damaged.
Today for some reason i tried my camera again & its magically working again. Guess the moisture must have dried up now ???
