Flash the bigmemtest. Glitch is baked in and you'll get 47MB of your ram back...

Its the AOKP Rom with the Glitch kernel already baked in.
I would recommend clearing big 3 but you can just clear cache and dalvik if you feel lucky.
My phone has never been this responsive and snappy before.

How long is it stuck at that screen?
I have to ask, are you sure you're running the gb rom bamf 2.1?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
How exactly did you flash it?
haha yeah i understand deff a gb rom. its v2.1 of the rom but it is 2.3.4 android. and it is stuck there than comes up with a force close window and stays there. and i flashed it through recovery, as if i am flashing a rom. if this is not the correct way i am going to feel ridiculous...

So it eventually booted and you got a force close? If so, that's strange, never experienced that.
If you get stuck again just reflash the rom without wiping data. It will restore the kernel that came with the rom.

You flashed it right. I had issues with a Chingy gingerbread ROM doing that same thing. No idea why. I think it might have something to do with the base. Not real familiar with that BAMF ROM. I had a little luck flashing a different kernel. Sometimes my only option was to wipe and restore. What kernel are you trying to use?
yeah, like it came up with the force close window but never went through a boot screen nor did it boot to the rom, but you can see that the screen is on. but it says black than the force close window pops up but doesnt allow you to select either of the options

If you still have the rom on your sd card manually boot into recovery and reflash the rom. Power + volume down then scroll down to recovery.
Hmm, I wonder if fixing permissions would help?

I always used the dream kernel, something must have changed in one of the bases as mentioned.

For now I would just flash the rom until you figure out what's going on with the kernel. Flashing the rom will restore the original kernel.

Looking to install ICS instead of Cm7.
Been told I need to use Cwm 5 - I am using cwm 4 so does it particularly matter? If so how do I upgrade.
And as I am running Cm7, is there anything else I need to do to flash the ICSunday ROM? - Searched and it seems I should be fine, but thought it best to chech.

if you are talking about ICS by jusada then its fine to flash as cm9 is not daily usable yet...
about cwm5 you have to download its package from related thread and flash it through current cwm4 as normal zip you flash it will be upgraded..
Yes looking at the Rom by Jusada.
Where can I find the download link for CWM 5? I have searched but I cant seem to find it. Am I not able to just use CWM 4?

i have the same problem like others with the 3g. The rom is fast and i like it but i cant connect to 3g/edge the wifi work fine. i have tried flashing with some modems and my ace die. I repaired in movistar.
PD: I am from ecuador and dont know if the problem is only in latin america
Let me start off by saying im a major noob when it comes to roms, kernels, and all this other stuff. Anyways, I was wondering how devil kernel works and how to install it? My phone right now is running the lastest nightly cm10 build from the cyanogenmod site.
You can install it the same way you would flash most other things- reboot into recovery, wipe cache/davlik, install zip, reboot
Im confused on which one to download.
The one i found here is almost 360mb
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1700904
and the one i found here is only 7mb
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/34748-aokp-jb-devil-kernel-showcase/

i have just updated to the lastest cm10.1 nightly update today and when i re-flash siyah 1.8.6 all sorts of problems breaks loose.
the cyanogen bootup logo was extremely slow and when the phone eventually booted up it was unusably lagging.
i has to restore from a backup and when i tried to reinstall siyah again, the same thing happens. I think i am correct to assume that it is the kernel that is causing the problems.
i am now using the stock cm kernal but i am missing the fact i can overclock my beast
anyone else having this issue and will it be fixed on further cm updates or will it be a siyah updating issue??
Thanks

Have you installed 1st or 2nd rom ?
Have you tried the new update ? (Siyah 1.8.7)
Problem verifyed with: Yank.555 1.4, Siyah 1.8.6
Do not install these kernels with the latest CM10.1 nightly (13. jan) - use stock or Siyah 1.8.7 instead
This is quite strange because I use the Rom ReVolt 3.3.3 available here.
It uses Android 4.2.1 and I have Siyah Kernel 1.8.6.
So there might be a sort of compatibility ...
I have upgraded to the 1.8.7 and its fixed the problem ;]

But Gokhanmoral's website says "cm10.1 is now supported in dual-boot configurations" with the latest 1.8.7 build.
I am running my a CM11 Nightly version on my Galaxy S3 i9300.
I've actually got no idea what kernels are but this should fix my camera problems.

This is the Kernel I am trying to install.
Do I just put it on my SD Card and flash it in ClockWorkMod?

Yes, ususally they come as a zipfile which you flash via custom recovery.

You have to give some time to it to settle down... Maybe 2-3 cycles...
And fur reverting you have to dirty flash your ROM that is flash your without wiping data...
