It takes time to re-calibrate battery stats when you flash a new ROM. Let it go through 2-3 charge/discharge cycles first. It's always the same here. This ROM has the best/worst battery life.

Fully charge your phone and delete battery stats within clockworkmod recovery.

battery stats are cleared at reboot...no reason to do this through clockwork
use your phone, things should stabilize after a few charges

Its not the ROM its because the voltage produced from a PC is lower than from a outlet so it will not charge properly the charge from pc to pc differ mine will charge on my dm4 laptop but not on my old hp laptop

Unknown then I would suggest wiping your data and flashing the rom again after then wipe your battery stats and download battery
Calibrator app and and see what happeneds if it keeps happening use your warranty
Rooting and roms won't void it

How bout trying to clear battery stats 1st?
if problem persist try flashing any rom. Or a previous backup.
Sent from my LG-P500
This probably won't help at all but possibly could.
1) use up your whole battery
2) pull out the battery
3) before putting it back in, run your fingers around the edges where the battery usually sits
4) put it back the battery
5) charge your phone till it's at 100%
That may help, I had a similar problem and it worked for me (pulling out the battery removes the "static").
But charge through pc battery charge fast n 100% but through charger it charge very slow not even 100% charge

What about testing it with another charger, maybe it's not a rom problem only a charger problem, lettin the charger plugged for many hours may be the cause of it's damage.
Try taking the battery rub the needle of the battery. Let it rest 1st.
And if your using froyo try off then charge wait and see if theres different.
Ps:just helping

Custom rom?
First thing to try is to wipe battery stats when it's fully charged.
If that didn't fix it, ask around and switch chargers with someone.
A new battery is the last option being that it's the most expensive solution and the hardest to test.

Charging but discharging

This doesn't make sense. My phone is charging but my battery is discharging. I've changed batteries but it's not the issue.
What could it be?
Thanks

That's a weird situation, somehow your battery just isn't getting voltage. Get an external charger, they sell 2 batts and an external charger for less than $20 on amazon.

I actually had the same issue when I first installed a custom rom on my s3. All I had to do to fix it was run a quick nandroid restore. Other's that I've talked to who had this issue told me to try different kernels, specifically kernels designed around battery life. Hope this helps

I would flash back to a stock ROM and start there. Make sure it is not hardware before you start changing software settings.
Can i flash a stock rom with 9% with odin mobile lol
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I'd try putting it on USB charge first. It might just be your charger has gone US rather than anything to do with the phone OS or software. Looking at those first screenshots I'm wondering about the 'discharging' 'charging' going on. To me that sugests the charger itself is not staying on charge mode.
The SIII gets 'stuck' sometimes says Samsung, they said it was a software issue so hopefully they'll fix it soon
Possible temp fix: turn off phone (works 90% of time for me)

Flashed stock ics an hr ago and I'm up to 30% that's the highest it's gotten to in the last 24 hrs. So think it's safe to say I'm back in business.
Very strange behaviour though!

I think that your charger is bad. Try some rooted jb os with latest siyah kernel, then try to charge your phone with usb. Latest syiah kernel have tweaked usb charge to 900mA. You have managed to recharge a little bit because ics has weaker wireless than jb.
Sory for my bad english
Cant be bad charger because I've tried 2.
As soon as I flashed stock t-mobile ics the charging went back to the way it should be.
Was running latest overcome jb. Was working fine. Something must of gotten corrupted?
Only thing that fixed it was flashing stock.
Anyway crisis averted. Just glad Im not having to send it away to samsung.

If youre using TWRP you will see the % of battery remaining, if you plug in your phone to charge you will see a + next to the percentage which confirms charging
