This may be a dumb question but I have used Android since my Htc Hero and always found this annoying and would like to see if there is a solution. When I have more than one browser installed it keeps asking me what browser I want to use. I mean the browser I clicked in my app drawer should be the obvious choice. Any help will be appreciated.

You need to check the box that sets what app you pick as the default..

If you install a new browser or update your current one it will ask again

You can always uninstall other browswrs and just keep the one you use. This will eliminate having to choose.

Thats what I ended up doing. I got tired of always having to pick which browser. I just think that if I choose a browser it should stay on that browser.

For a while on my Infuse I just installed a different browser, selected it as default, then froze the stock browser in TiBu. Problem solved, both browsers still on the device if needed.
Though I have to admit, stock browser has come a long way since Froyo.

I'm running on Atrix with CyanogenMod Beta on At&t. Anyone else get this, or have similar problems. I'm not sure how to look into this, i downloaded aLog but not sure what i'm looking for to block.

You can prevent imminent blindness by taping your eyelids open. This stops the squinting and resulting blindness! Been doing it for years myself!

Never heard of that App and fortunately I don't have any infected airpush apps installed on my phone, but that's still good to know...

Use quickpic, a very nice gallery replacer app from the market, choose "set as" but don't choose wallpaper, choose "quickpic wallpaper" it'll fit perfectly

I think it's some issue with stock gallery and tw frameworks.
Quickpic and some launchers fix it. I think all the custom ROMs I've run have fixed it as well. Annoying when I got the phone.

I only have a handful of apps installed, including the go launcher but when I'm using xda, tapatalk, or even setting up Google voice, it closes on me.

i resolved the google voice issue but still getting FC on tapatalk and xda. Oh well...
I also getting fair few fcs in xda app
Edit: when I load up app if I click on the "participated" button it fcs then automatically opens the sky sports news app. Wtf?

This has happened to me before after downloading a game app....flooded me with crap exactly like that. Don't think it's spyware tho. I always just deleted immediately and never had a prob.

The only apps on the screen that are mine are xda and my camera and the search bar and clock, the ones down the bottom are also mine, the other four, "new message" "Droid apps" "slots" and "cab app" I did not install. Its the first time in I don't know how many years I've seen this happen.

They may presumably be app or game addons. Do you have any apps or games that constantly advertise they're products? They may automatically download they apps..

I remember back in the G1 days, if rooted, there were certain apps that would make function of the search button seeing as how most people never used it. Does anyone know of any apps out there that make more use of the search button besides what it does already? Like override the search option and do something else like launch a different app?

Oh, and handcent sms's "quick compose" function when you long press also, i forgot cause i have soundhound as the default.
That's the only 2 I've come across, add haven't been bored enough to learn how to remap it.
And I'm not an app junkie either, so there is probably a lot more with the long press feature.
