if not , would a different kernel help?

how is your card formatted? (ntfs, fat32, exfat....)?

Fat32, I think it has to be that format for it to work

Any dev intersted in porting this rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403859
I need some help. i cant do it in my own, if someone is intersted let me know, im working on it
Would we have the same kernel problem?
Awesome .................
You need to post what problems you have and at least some rom (even with problems) so people will able to help you.
I am willing to test when its ready - I like Sense.
BTW - I am using ICS 4.0.3 in my NS and I love it, but I wish there is a (good) Sense for NS.
This is gonna b awesome...
I've started waiting for the Complete build ... Woot
I think I'll do some tests as soon as I can because that ROM looks simply nicely done!!!
But 99% there'll be issues with the entire ROM, because of different BASE, different device (remember that HTC Sensation has 960x540 pixel) with all the images to resize..
So it's a no go for now. We have to wait for someone to port to another device with at least 800x480 resolution.
EDIT: ... And ... most important we'll not have any Linux kernel v3.0 adapted for Sense because HTC will not release any ICS for Desire, so no more kernel port for our Nexus...
Our N1 is outdated now, mostly because of LOW internal memory for all (apps, system, etc.)...
I'm waiting for some NEW HTC device, such as the HTC codename "Ville" with its beautiful thinness and the reminds of our Nexus One! Take a look and let me know what do you think

i agree, i think that all the effort to get this rom working in the nexus one in in vane, but, i can get it boot, then any dev can make it functional i dont know i have plenty of time to get a project like this... the 28 of december that i have vacations i will get to work......
EDIT: now that im taking a look to rcmix ics , im seeing that all the 450mb fits in the system partition, holly work to move all AHAH
This is a useless effort. The Sensation has nothing in common with the N1.
Concentrate on getting a kernel dev working on TexasIce's ICS Rom so we can actually have ICS working on the N1.

No it works believe me I thought that my device had the same problem.
1. connect charger (PC or power outlet works)
2. take out battery
3. wait for the LED to go off
4. put battery back in
5. phone should go on the moment it wants to turn on the LED
6. repeat process if it did not turn on.
*Note: I read that this should be done as fast as possible. I remember doing this process so fast that I thought that my phone was faulty. Take your time doing the steps.
Yeah like the post above use the jump start method. My power button doesn't work and I got my phone on

Usb port

How (if possible) can you make the usb port on the rezound a master to connect to external hard drives and browse them? Is it possible to do this somehow and then mount an external drive through that port?
In a word, no.

HTC blocked that functionality and it isn't supported by the kernel.
So I am assuming there are no modified kernels that support it out there. How unfortumate :/

There is nothing to base it off of. If it isn't in the kernel then there is really no way to figure it out.
It's called usb-otg and you can buy a cable for really cheap but it won't work until we get kernel source and will only work on AOSP (i think cm supports it).
I know this because everyone does this on the nexus 7.

Square Card Reader

Has anybody successfully gotten it to work on any of the JB AOSP ROMs?
Haven't tried it with mine personally.
If you depend on it for your business. Stick to what works.
I tried it on ParanoidAndroid (the August 26th build) and it wouldn't read cards. I'm assuming since they're all /kinda/ based off the same github, none of the AOSP ROMs will work. Oh well.
Have you tried one of the CM10 ROMs? Any luck?

IMO, it seems to work fine with Sense ROMs, but not with any AOSP ROMs (all of the AOSP ROMs on our phones seem to share the same base).

I went to stock rooted and it is working as it was with my Evo 4G.
It won't work until Hashcode finishes the work he's doing to get the ttrs headsets functional for his CM 10.1 build. From what I can tell from the OP in his thread, he's making progress and is close. I can't wait so I can revert from the dual-boot I have to currently use.

I am also awaiting to see results of 4.3 additions to current rom projects.
But I personally think the LGOG design is much nicer than the N4, the N4 rounded top and bottom make it look like HTC wannabe and seems to add bulk to the phones.
If I had known about the Oppo Find 5 earlier, I would have gotten that instead since the lack of microSD, LTE and the terrible design on the N4 turned me off completely. So ended up with the LGOG for $49, at least the price was attractive since I already pay for the data plan.
FYI, the iPhone 4S is still $100 more at AT&T. And I see AT&T still has iPhone 4, guess Apple in their contract made AT&T buy far more phones than they were able to sell.
- I noticed some AT&T employees even had Windows 8 logo on their shirts, to promote the Nokia WP8 phones, with the shirt on, tried desperately to convince me to upgrade to the iPhone 4 .99 upgrade, not the 4S, not the 5. I found that very amusing.
Can't wait for 4.3 on our OG

It is 4.3 running on a stock JB LGOG. As nygfan760 said, any mako kernel will boot on the LGOG, as long as it is updated with the jellybean partitions, which is why the kernel version is identical. I am using it because an android 4.2.2 kernel will not boot android 4.3, caused by changes in the code base between the versions, such as SEAndroid support.
Kernel modifications will be needed for a fully working device. External sd card and physical touch buttons are the main things that would require a new kernel build, and will not be possible until source is released.
Well how about that? Son of a...

If you will pay me enough at every months and I don't need to work, I will have more time, and i can fix everything. While you don't do it, it's work for free. It's just a hobby and I don't need to share it with you. I do it for myself. So I build the version what I want and I fix what i want. If you want better devs, buy a device for them.

I come to think that this forum needs a "slap button" aside the "thanks" one when I see this kind of so much unthankful comments :
"Blahblahblah.. some peoples can give you 1$ sometimes so I want a proper, fully working port of CM now and a coffee... blahlah.. so mean.."
Despites the fact that, when you bought the phone, everyone knowned it has a very little community... and also buying a DesireX was a tacit agreement that you could (even "should") stay stuck with a lack of support only on a Sense 4 ICS like firstly planned by HTC.
So don't talk like it was a natural work around the phone that was guaranteed when you bought it.
Enjoy the luck of having some peoples taking hardtime for your beautiful eyes, whithout money expectation.
Or maybe they should open a Kickstarter project to release properly the rom when it's done, shouldn't they ?
