[Q] Help! Need Froyo stock rom in zip. - Optimus One, P500, V General

i upgraded my phone to 2.3.3 and flashed oxygen. now i want to get back to froyo ( because i want to flash mik' os cm7) but i forgot to backup. There is another thread about this but its down and the link is broken. Anyone could upload a flashable froyo stock rom?

actually u don't need to flash froyo ROM, just change your base band to old ones (yes, the froyo ones) but just change it via LGMDP tool, search somewhere in this forum.

if you want to use mik's os on new bb, you can still use it by copying new baseband fix over mik's os
just copy these files to system/lib and set the permissions (rw-r--r--) and reboot

You have froyo rom stock in zip here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23168177#post23168177
And if you want test CM7 of mik, use the 6.5.8, stable, free bug

how do i set permisions?

i cant seem to copy thoose files to lib because its read only.

Use root explorer from play store or ES file explorer

ok. thanks. how do i set permisions?
ps. ill just do it with lgmdp. gb eats my batt to much and overall 2.3.3 uses .35 kernel 2.2 uses .32 so miks cm7 and francos kernel 19.4 bfs should be a good performance combo.

ok so lgmdp doesnt find my phone. (in the ports), i failed to copy baseband fix and change permissions. how can i fking get back to froyo now!

did you had lg usb drivers installed and turn off all antivirus/firewalls before doing the flashing with kdz/lgmdp

just type device manager in search in windows 7...or find it in control panel...under modems head u'll find lge modem.right click on it and disable it...now connect ur phone...u'll see it it in LGMDP now...

[Q] Multitouch on Stock Rom...?

Slade, I have installed your CM6 Stock rom and flashed the multi touch files using xrec, as I have backed up my original stock rom and apps I would like to know if I am able to flash the multitouch files to the SE stock rom... Thanks in advance and would like to add that what you and dio did is remarkable!
i dont think there is an update .zip for stock rom but you can follow the instructions on the dualtouch thread to enable it
See on my tweaks Multitouch for all roms
I tried all methods in getting the dualtouch for the stockrom including insmod and adbshell and everyway possible but did not manage so opted to go for Slades CM6 Froyo... I backed up my original stock market as I have all the apps and messages saved on that and was really hoping to find an update zip compatible with the SE stock rom... I'm a little bit of a noob and really cannot get the insmod method working since its not permitting me to do so.

[Q] Going back to Froyo 2.2.1 from GB 2.3.4

Hi
I am on presently Simply Honey 3.9.1 with GB bootloaders. How can I go back to any Custom Froyo Roms. If I just flashed the rom through CWM will it work? or do I have to do something else.
should work fine
i went back to 2.2.1 from SH3.6 by flashing 2.2 kernel to see recovery then flashing the rom and it worked
that was 2.3.3 but dont think it'll make much difference

it is necessary to flash the 2.2 kernel, as I can see recovery in GB rom.

could have a play around with them build.prop tweaks for signal and stuff before you go back if you wanted
EB on SH 3.9 set it the same for all of us before he uploaded but people on the build.prop tweaks forum says it depends on your area as to what to set it to or something
if you change something in there and its worse, you could extract the build.prop from system in the zip download, move it to your phone and move it to system with root explorer and overwrite the 1 you changed

No I haven't done anything to my build.prop. As I am not much technical so I dont play much with this kind of files. So there is no question of data drop due to this. I experienced same on Revolution rom too, so I think this is the problem with Custom GB.

im saying you might be able to fix it doing that, its just changing numbers, saving then rebooting but its up to you

Or just flash a different modem but editing ur build prop is very easy

slow down it takes tym to gt a reply..
anyhow i m here
1) All custom roms are rooted so u will not loose ur root access..
2)All rom developers have listed the samsung apps deleted by them, and they usually give it as an addon pack if some people want.
See it what apps they have removed , if the app u want is deleted good for u or u have to deleted it manually as u have done in the past..
Alternatively u can delete it from the rom before flashing too... if u are experienced.
3)This is a kernel related issue try changing/flashing a new kernel the problem should get solved..
i want to flash the litening rom, what is the newest version available?
my kernel is KF4 but most of the roms i found are for other kernel versions, how do i solve this?
The latest version of litening ROM is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095274
but can i suggest Cognition as i have used both and i do prefer cognition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124396
Your kernel doesnt matter - each ROM usually includes their own kernel and when you flash the new rom the kernel from that ROM will also be applied to your phone at the same time
Is cyanogenmod for gs2 released?
And whar is the difference btwn different ketnrls? say ke7 is better or kf4 is better?

[Q] Back to custom rom from CM7

Is it possible to download back the old stock rom through ODIN and reinstall it on my ace? Or can I install it with CMW too from the SD card? Or is there some deleting and complexity involved in this backwards process?
Sure, you can instal any stock rom on your phone. Just have to have the firmware files. I just flashed back stock 2.3.4 after 7.1 CM BehradGH. And istaled BehradGH again I don't think u could instal any stock rom via CWM. Specialy the lower version u have.

Lmao nah bro it failed. I tried flashing it through ODIN and installing the stock 2.3.5 again and the phone was stuck in an endless boot. I got scared as hell and reflashed back to CM 7.1. I have no idea what happened though but everything is working fine. I guess I'll be sticking to CM7.
The reason I wanted to go back was because Heywire (txting app) was the only thing that stopped working after I flashed. I depend a lot on texting and I was thinking it'd go back if I went back to stock. I guess I'll have to try and find another alternative :/
Phone feels like a super phone though. LONG LIVE CM7!
Well, I'm not a developer or advenced user so I can't tell u the reason why you phone stuck in on boot. Today i was broke my CM7.1 Behrad and i could only go to download mode so i flash official 2.3.4 KPH and it's worked. Next i instaled CWM and BehradGH' rom again. Before useing BehradGH's rom i had Grif's KANG rom and after that i flash stock 2.3.4 to instal another CM7.1. It wasn't first time so I'm sure of that what i write here
Haha. I'm guessing we were both pretty lucky then. The first thing I did was to make sure I could boot into recovery. Then I reflashed CM7 from there. I'm still curious about the boot loop thing... I hope someone answers.
You need to flash a full package to not have a bootloop.

If u wer on cm7, then u should flash a full package bcoz cm7 converts ur system from rfs to ext. So wen u flash a full package, ur system is converted back to rfs.

You need to download something called a 5 file package, extract and then in Odin you deselect 'one package'. Generally for stock ROMs you select
OPS - cooper.ops
BOOT - APBOOT.......tar.md5
PHONE - MODEM......tar.md5
PDA - CODE......tar.md5
CSC - CSC.......tar.md5

It's not 5 downloads.
Sammobile.com, find the KPH file. I know it's confirmed to be a full package.
It seems samfirmware.com is not updated with latest firmwares. So u can try sammobile.com which is updated.

dunno about now, but a long time back when i was flashing stock KPN, samfirmware.com had a one file KPN, so i flashed a 5 file KPE and then the KPN...
I think KPN is supposed to be better than KPH which was a leaked ROM.

Hey!
I think you was flashed the ONE package file, but jeah, you need MULTI package file for ODIN, flash from CM to STOCK ROM.
Just read the FLASHING TUT. before flashing!
CHEERS!
To back to stock rom i always use Odin Didn't said i do this by recovery. And always use multi-file pack. Never "one package" - some1 said it is unstable... So go to Download Mode and flash ur Ace by useing Odin and multi-file rom (OPS, PDA, BOOT, PHONE, CSC)

Unstable how? I've always used one packages for flashing stock roms and they've worked perfectly. Unless you're talking about the performance of the rom?

It's not unstable. You will only get boot problems flashing across android versions using one package files.

None of the cfw i flashed work. What am i not doing right?

So i have some experience with these things (flashing and whatnot) with several phones already (htc hero, legend, desire, desire hd, motorola milestone, iconia a500, etc), so i dont get what could be wrong.
So i have this lg optimus one.
Gave it root with z4root method.
Got rom manager installed, flashed the recovery, and rebooted into the recovery.
I formated the sdcard from recovery, entered usb mode, copied several cfw (mostly gb roms) along with some kernels.
I flased my first rom on this phone, and i think it was optimus v3 (or something like that), rebooted, then i got FC, "process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly". So im thinking now ... "hmmm .. the kernel must not be the right one". So i search a little and see that there are 2 kernel types, v35 and v32.
So i start flashing another kernel, reboot, but still get the same thing.
So i then start flashing another cfw, but still the same thing.
I flashed several cfw and about 4 kernels by now.
What im i not doing right !?
Where should i check ?
Maybe ur not on the right baseband If u were on Gingerbread when rooting then ur on new baseband but if u were on Froyo then u were on old baseband so check for a ROM with the proper basebabd and try

Yes u can..but I'd recommend u to try a ROM which is for old baseband (or for both old and new) and see if it has any problems.if its working perfectly then its the baseband problem.
Try this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1463495
there's a seperate download link for old baseband
Orelse try this to update the baseband:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149530
There's a quick tutorial on how to update the baseband in the ROM link also I provided...please read the whole post carefully and do it
I haven't tried the above mentioned links.
