Hello. I noticed a similar experience in the speedmod thread but since I can't post there yet, here goes.
Turning off wifi freezes the phone when using the kernel. This only happens if tegrak overclock module is loaded, whether I actually undervolt or not. I do not overclock. Doesn't happen when undervolting the stock xxlps kernel.

so why do you use tegrak if it makes us device unstable?
reflash the fw and the kernel with all wipes. you should be fine after this.
cheers!
Hmm...already did the wipe. Same issue. Oh well. Speedmod back in gingerbread was fine with undervolting. It's also fine now actually, only the wifi thingy.

Tegrak app is not 100% compatible with speed mod kernel.
Latest tegrak fixed the problem. In addition, I think the toggle hang for wifi relates to nitro lag nullifier option in the supercharger script. When disabled, works fine.

I am running bionix 1.3 which has the stock kernel...i wanted to know if anyone knows a kernel that has improvements but is not overclocked because my phone can't handle it....it just keeps freezing up

on thing to try is not touch the "conservative" drop down box, in setcpu, that tends to royally screw things up, but why not just run the kernel you are running, but not over clock it to 1.2, just leave it at 1ghz? use setcpu to set it at 10000mhz then click the "set on boot" check box. it should be golden.
You can use any Kernel you want and just not overclock. I don't see why that wouldn't work.
I don't always complain, but when I do, I #BlameWes
(edited) after reading up a bit, i just installed JAC's Extreme kernel over bionix 1.3 that had kk to begin with, already its faster at startup, time to play around...

Anyone else use the Nook app?
I'm having the strangest problem. When I use the Silverneedle kernel, the app works just fine (OC'd to 1.5). Now, when I changed to the RCMIX kernel (same OC freq), it force closes all the time. What could it be?

Are you overclocked with SetCPU? Did you un-install SetCPU before flashing the new kernel and re-install afterwards?
I noticed that after the phone would boot up, it would give me a FC but if I opened the OC app, everything looked like it was working fine. When flashing a new kernel over another, you may want to wipe Dalvik after flashing a new kernel...
Hi I used to run a froyo rom with dragon kernel, and was able to overclock to 1360 mhz no problem. Now I'm on the latest trigger cm7 build with glitch kernel and it totally crashes my phone the second I try anything above 1200. What methods have people used to get good, stable overclocks above 1200?

Hey,
LED notification? Anyone using it?
Are you all using BLN or some other?
CM7 used to have a built in led notification on the buttons like BLN in my older phone, but it cm7 doesnt seem to have it built in for this phone.
So what can I use for notification led? As I have stock kernel so it i cannot use bln....
Thanks
So just flash a Kernel with BLN support, ex- Ninphetamine 2.1.3.
but flashing non stock kernel losses battery right?
what are other disadvantages?
It actually increases if you can UV a little bit with SetCPU or use an already UV'ed kernel like SpeedMod or else.
That's a very wrong info you have there.

A non-stock kernel usually improves battery.
However, based on reading the BLN sources and talking to some people, BLN on the I9100 has the same problems it had when I tried to implement it on the I777 - a permanent wakelock while the LED is on, which IS bad for battery life.
Believe it or not. You get used to no LED.
I used Noled too untill i noticed a great battery decrease on a daily basis.

Hi! I am having a small issue with my Note. I flashed the AT&T fix and the Saurom rom. Everything seems to be fine, but I noticed that the "About" section in the settings says the kernel is unavailable. The build number is RC_V_att and the Baseband says I717UCLA1. I guess I'm most concerned because I don't see an app to tinker the overclock settings/ etc. I'm used to my Galaxy Nexus where I use the Franco Kernel application. Thanks for your help!
Saurom now uses my holoNote kernel. It is a known issue that kernel version is not displayed in the about tab. If you need the version, apps such as cpuspy will display properly.
As for overclock, I personally use system tuner.
