i'm assuming that you are talking about the status bar. it works but it's very finicky. you just have to hit the right spot. keep trying.
fm radio and theme manager (sony launcher > desktop > menu > theme) keep crashing. also, digital clock widget is not working properly; the last digit is so small that you almost can't see it. very minor issues. overall, the rom seems to be performing very well. super fast, super smooth. my main concern when i'm choosing a rom for the mini pro is battery life. i will try to report back tomorrow night after a full discharge cycle to give you my impression.
here are a couple screen shots for those of you wondering what the rom looks like (obviously, i'm using the sony launcher as opposed to the regular launcher).
edit: theme manager works, as long as you access it through the launcher.
What the F.. K is this really you. Nice to see you back friend with a present...

UnOriginal
Based on UnNamed 1.3.2, the original thread is here.
Intents and Purposes
- Minimal: only 135MB!
- Battery Life: I will always go for battery life over performance or graphics, in some cases even functionality.
- Fast: Because of it's minimalist nature, the ROM is very smooth and apps open quickly.
- Feature-rich: I intend to add new features, such as: swipe to clear notifications, ICS animations, and more.

AMOLED Display: Average - 370mW. Full white background, 1% brightness - 450mW. Full white background, 100% brightness - 960mW. So roughly every percentage of brightness increased accounts to additional 5.2mW. (Now we know why using dark wallpapers and reducing brightness is so important than undervolting).
Illuminated capacitive buttons - 40mW
Led lamp next to camera - 1.3W
Camera - 700mW
Bluetooth and GPS - 110 to 180mW (Really?!)
2G to 3G switching - 800mW for 8 seconds. (This is no h/w component, but we should know)

CPU 1.4 Ghz average - 3.2W
CPU 1.6 Ghz full load - 5.9W (Forget Ocing to 1600mhz)
BLN - 200mW during suspend state opposed to deep sleep 8mW without BLN.

Not really interested in switching ROMs right now, but I appreciate your hard work. Next time I'm switching ROMs I'll give this a go and report back.
I have to work for the next 7 days straight, so it will be a while before any updates happen.
Excited to flash! Cant wait! This is a great dev we have here!
Glad to see this finally has made its way out into the wild.
I loved the test build of this so I'm gonna dl the new version right now... looks like a great rom!

Thanks for the chuckle. That's a hard feat.
If the total number of shoman is infinite , x must equal the number of shoman carried over from the previous version. Y then represents the number of shoman that are divisible by pie. Therefore the number 94 is inadequate to represent the total number of shoman. 64 is a much more adequate number.
One shoman to rule them all.

>NOTE<
Regarding CPU undervolt&underclock:
R5 introduces multiple CPU profiles to choose from.
Basic profiles are:
-FullSpeed: this profile sets the CPU frequency to 1GHz, no undervolting
-Balanced: this profile sets the CPU frequency to 768MHz
-SuperSave: this profile sets the CPU frequency to 652MHz
-UltraSave: this profile sets the CPU frequency to 576MHz
Scaling profiles have two governors. Sleep governer is ondemand, while awake governor depends on chosen profile.
All profiles also contain governor tweaks. Depending on profile they're tweaked to be battery saving or performance oriented.
Now, before you go nuts saying that's too low etc.
All frequencies have been extensively tested. The ROM runs SMOOTH even on 576MHz!
We all know that saving battery while operating the phone/ screen on, is very difficult. Well this comes a HUGE powersaver.
Because not all users may like this, you have the ability to choose what you want or not want
If you choose a low frequency but wish to play a game, simply open SystemTuner or go to settings> CPU Control, and set the freq to 1GHz or whatever.
The next reboot will reset the freq to your default chosen one unless you specify setting to be permanent.
I personally run the phone with UltraSave, 576MHz everyday. No gaming odc
FullSpeed and Balanced work with stock kernel.
SuperSave and UltraSave do not work because of different frequency stepping.
UV and screenstate scaling also won't work on stock kernel. Stock does not support UV and does not support additional governors.

X-MoD_R8 uploaded
Long time ago I was working on this final update which should fix some issues I guess.
Unfortunately I lost some of my data then. So I found this zip a few days ago and I thought if anyone still uses GB and this ROM, why not upload it.
I do not work on this ROM anyomore. I uploaded this ROM zip just like I found it. I've made no changes at all.
So..... enjoy

Root access and minipro camera flash bugz fixes:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Root access issue:
If you should happen to have root acces problems, try flashing this patch: http://d-h.st/VXA [thanX to Blantosz who pointed out the solution]
Steps you can try if you're having trouble with root access:
-Install SuperSU from market
-Find and change follwing line in build.prop to be dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=m=y
-open ROM zip, and copy /system/xbin/su to /system/bin
Do not move, just copy so it's in both places. Then try to flash the ROM.
MiniPro flash issue:
If you have Mini Pro, if flash doesn't fire when taking picture, flash this patch: http://d-h.st/3V7
------>>>------------>>>------NOTE------<<<------------<<<------
R7 is going to be the final version of this ROM I think.... :-/
GB is old news now. Most ppl have moved on to ICS.
Maybe I'll make an ICS X-MoD version?
I will however try to fix any major bugz you may encounter.
So I'm still supporting this ROM, just not developing....
The new ICS like theme and the new lockscreen is thought as a present for all users of this ROM, since this is the final version.
I really hope you enjoy it! I enjoyed making it, as hard as it was. And still there are some bugz -.-
I think X-MoD as a GB ROM has come to it's optimum.
Meaning I made it the best I know, maximum battery life is achieved (one of the best among our GB ROMs I think), while retaining very high performance.
There's nothing more that can be tweaked, upgraded or enhanced for that matter. Except cosmetics maybe. It's finished finally
I wanna thank all users and ppl that helped me, and for all the support in making this ROM
Moving on!

I tested it with BatteryDrain analyser, on Xkernel.
No extra apps, just a clean ROM installation.
Both wifi and data being off.
EDiT: It may jump a bit higher from time to time because of a wakelock. But in general, that's it.

That's why I said it's a personal ROM, and not everone might like it.
I've included only some apps, and they all extend or enhance use experience. Let me explain some of them:
EX dialer fits into ICS theme, Easy Browser is THE fastest browser I've seen, sys tuner allows for setting up system, holo locker/ launcher also adds to ICS experience, trackID is sony app, file explorer I think is needed by users who have roorted phones.

For Xperia mini, mini pro, walkman and active
Works on LOCKED/UNLOCKED bootloader!
NOTE: Thread looks best with this theme: http://userstyles.org/styles/81480/dark-xda
About ROM:
Unlike the recent trend in Sony and xda development, this ROM AOSP/dark themed.
It's focused primarily on battery life, lightness, features and performance.
I tried to keep the ROM as light as possible, minimum apps, with as much free RAM and space as possible. This way we get a fast responding snappy ROM with useful but light features with minimal lag.
Actual ROM size is around 150MB while AROMA options take up the other half, 150MB.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BUGZ&SOLUTIONS:
Nothing serious
- Some kernels have a bug with sony JB lock screen. You can't switch it to AOSP or vice versa. Solution is to type this into terminal mount -o remount rw /system
- I experienced if I have some scripts in init.d, I get bootloop with MESA (applies to versions below 4.7). I really don't know why this is, if it's ROM or kernel related. It also doesn't apply to all scripts.
- LUPUS kernel DOES NOT seem to work with this ROM as far as I've tested it. Lockscreen and SU access do not work among other things....
- When AROMA starts it'll display an empty white dialog with a green button. Just tap it to dismiss.
- XthemeEngine will say it hasn't been activated. Just hit the back button and it'll work.
- I noticed that sometimes the SysUI data toggle doesn't work.

For people with many apps, you can free up some additional space on /data partition by moving dalvik cache to /cache partition which has enough unused free space we can use.
All you need is to flash this zip containing an init.d script: http://d-h.st/LnJ
If you need to clear dalvik you have to clear cache and dalvik together.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Optional post install steps:
At first start you'll see stripes at the right/left edge of the screen. Go to Pie Control in settings to configure or disable it.
Go to settings> sms popup and run it to accept agreement so it can function normally if you wanna use it.
Noise suppression might not be enabled so go to settings> call settings and enable it for better call quality.
Open Xposed installer app and install the framework manually. After that check all modules and reboot.
Highly recommended kernels for most stable and battery efficient functioning of this ROM are:
.587 Stock kernel, Extended Stock kernel and latest MESA kernel
But any stock based kernel applies

CHANGELOG
Previous changelogs:
ULTRA changelog:
- Much less AROMA options --> I think there was too much redundant stuff which you can also download free from the market if you feel like it
- Revamped settings a bit --> Some may like it some not
- Added navbar for those who like it
- Integrated xperia Z small apps --> credit to saqib.nazm
- The ROM is now entirely themable! with added Icon themer and Xtheme Engine accessible from settings
- GPS and DATA are turned off by default at first boot
- Changed app icons --> Again, some may like it some not, it's the ROMs unique look. That's why there's an Icon Themer anyway
- Changed some PNGs in framework like switches, buttons and stuff.....
- Added 2 new bootanimations --> Solar Flare and Reactore Core. Very cool!
- sysUI updated to version 10.1 by serajr
- All apps and small apps are up to date OFC
- JB animations
- Various small bugs fixed
- Fixed FC when choosing lock screen settings --> Now you can change lock screen background with in-built wallpaper choices or trough gallery
- Replaced Google Talk with Xabber chat app --> More customisable, multiple accounts
- Added optional super secure hosts file for ad and malware blocking for the pArAn0iD amongst us (keep in mind it's almost 10MB big and the ROM already comes with an AD blocking hosts file)
- Some small changes in build.prop
- ExDialer is the default dialer and phonebook --> Here's the Honami alternative if you don't like it: Black themed hereand white themed here
- Locked bootloader users now have smartassv2 cpu governor and sio scheduler
- Integrated X-Reality engine for enhanced picture and video quality review
- Integrated Cybershot Camera mod for enhanced recording of pictures and videos
- Replaced SEMC setup wizard with AOSP one
- When installing apps you're now given the option of installing them directly to sdcard
- Added Xposed Framework apk --> I'ts not the current version and there's no need to update really. But you can if you will.
- Added Sms Popup in settings --> You get a popup window on an incoming message which allows you to quickly reply, delete or close the message! The app is turned on by default, but you need to enter the app once only to accept the EULA agreement so the app can start working. I felt bad removing the EULA popup, so I left it.
If you use some third party sms apps, you can ofc disable the app anytime.
- Added firewall (droidwall) in settings to control which apps have permission to connect to data/wifi.
- Switch between three different lockscreens --> AOSP, JB NXT swipe up/down and regular slide lockscreen (themed)
Turn off NXT lockscreen, go to security and tick AOSP or untick for slide lockscreen
ULTRA MKII changelog:
- Added Xperia Z Advanced Launcher --> Much more options to customize but also a bit heavier RAM use
- Added white theme
- Added AOSP messaging option

- Fixed SEMC calendar button and textboxes layout when adding a new event.
- Re-styled framework a bit --> Dialogs, menus, popups etc. resemble Viper ROM --> Look at the screenshots
- Changed font to Roboto Condensed
ULTRA_LiTE version is more or less identical to full ROM except it's stripped of AROMA options to make it lighter.
You just need to choose your device, locked/unlocked bootloader and it's done.
Less size (190MB), less hassle. Only minimal apps included.
Hope you like it

iCE_MoD_ULTRA_MK IV changelog:

- Updated xposed framework to latest version --> This time you'll have to install it manually. Just open the app and tap install.
XthemeEngine will say it hasn't been activated. Just hit the back button and it'll work normally
- Icon Themer has been removed because it doesn't work with latest xposed framework --> Icon Themer free version has been abandoned and is available as paid app named unicon
- Updated latest CM sounds
- Removed back to kill mod option from settings cuz it's broken for now
- Added a bunch of new wallpapers --> Over 50 different wallpapers included!
- Added hidden phonebook apk to avoid FC's when trying to add contact from messaging or some other app
- Added prop lines --> Enhance dalvik and call quality, some networking tweaks
- Updated some apps
- resolv.conf changed to opendns nameservers instead of google ones
- No LiTE version this time
- Enabled lock screen landscape rotate. Also enabled full screen rotation --> The screen rotates in all directions now
- ROM is odexed now --> More space on /data, apps open faster, less laggy UI etc.
deodexed version is also available
- Added strace debugging utility --> For usage instructions follow the link in credits. Much more powerful than logcat
- Added sysrw & sysro binaries for quick read/write read only remounting
- Removed old outdated HTC_IME mod keyboard and replaced it with new one!
iCE_MoD_ULTRA_MK V changelog:
This is more like a revision of MK4 but I've gone up a level anyways
- Small Apps bug fixed --> No resetting after reboot
- Disabled lock screen rotation --> bad idea anyways
- Beats audio mod didn't seem to be working so I replaced it with Beats mod from rokodev (no app)
- Added restart systemUI to settings --> sysUI is kinda buggy sometimes. That's just the way it's written by serajr. So when it freezes from time to time you can use this app to restart it.
- Removed optional paranoid host file --> minus 10MB
- Fixed AOSP messaging --> Received sms messages were being deleted upon receiving
- Updated some apps

EDIT: I've successfully tested the latest build from @infected_ which brings things like 'clear all recent apps' button, added features like 'ActiveDisplay' and fixes things like the wacky signal strength. So I switched to this ROM and depreciate this thread.
Review of omni-4.4-20131118-i9100-HOMEMADE.zip
(tested with runtime set to: ART)
[what works]
► Calls (Phone) / SMS (Messaging) = stable
► WiFi = stable
► Alarms (Clock) = stable
► complete Settings (incl. unlocked points <Developer Options> and <Performance>) and <Network speed indicator> = functional
► Calculator, Calendar (also tested with 'Birthday Adapter' incl. synchronisation), Dev Tools, Gallery (incl. video funktionality), GPS (tested with OsmAnd incl. compass functionality), Music, People (incl. vCard import), Torch (incl. SOS) = successfully tested, personal impression: stable
► Camera (incl. lockscreen widget and front camera) = fully functional (video recording, too)
► DSP Manager, Bluetooth, Email, Movie Studio & Voice Dialer = successfully opened, but not further tested
[what doesn't out of the box]
► Browser = basically working, but crashes if open <new incognito tab> error: "unfortunately, Browser has stopped."
☼ doesn't found a workaround yet. The open source browser app 'Tint Browser' shows the same behaviour on incognito tabs
► (managed) root access
☼ workaround: install SuperSU
► use the phone as mass storage device
☼ tried within 'Terminal Emulator' app:
# su
# setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage
# reboot
(on Windows you probably need actual USB drivers) but I can't bring up a connection after pressing the button <Turn on USB storage>. Rollback (to default) is:
# su
# setprop persist.sys.usb.config mtp,adb
# reboot
at least with that (MTP) setting I was able to connect the device, (but just not as mass storage device) under:
• Linux (out of the box) and
• Windows (after installing Kies 3.0 and the prerequisit for that under Windows N and KN versions: "Microsoft Windows Media Feature Pack").
(Kies could say: "This device is not supported by Kies 3.0. Please open Kies 2.6 and then connect the device again." But just ignore this and connect the phone as MTP device under file explorer).
► signal strength is wacky
☼ IMHO: that's not a real problem than just a little bug, because the signal is very good (instead of the displayed sticky single bar). The value of the Settings -> About phone -> Status -> <Signal strength> is: "2147483647 dBm 255 asu" and will never change, also if you switch into airplane mode...
[what would be nice to have]
► deactivated cell broadcasts by default (because I’ve got broadcast messages every few seconds…)
☼ workaround: deactivate them manually over Settings -> More... -> Cell broadcasts
► possibility to remove the Google search bar from the desktop (seen embedded in CM)
☼ workaround: Settings -> Apps -> All -> Search -> Disable (but if you disable this built-in app other apps may misbehave! You also may need a reboot to remove the white frame on the desktop)
► possibility to modify (especially reduce) haptic feedback intensity (seen embedded in CM)
☼ partial workaround:
• for keyboard haptic feedback itensity: Settings -> Language & input -> Android Keyboard settings -> Advanced settings -> Keypress vibration duration
• for system wide vibration feedback (on / off only): Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate on touch
• or try a free app like 'Vibrate', seen in Google play store (not tested)
► possibility to dim or turn of the lights of the touch sensitive buttons (seen embedded in CM)
☼ partial workaround:
• to disable the lights completely put the following into a file with a name you want under /system/etc/init.d/{filename}:
echo "1" > /sys/devices/virtual/sec/sec_touchkey/force_disable
(tested with file permissions set to: -rwxr-xr-x) thanks @eskriminal
• or try a free app like 'Soft Buttons Light', seen in Google play store (not tested)
► a button to clear all recent apps (seen embedded in CM)
☼ the hard way: slide out recent apps one by one
► keyboard gesture typing functionality
☼ workaround: install Google Keyboard
► possibility to restrict app permissions like APP OPS setting in Android 4.3 (seen embedded in CM)
☼ partial workaround: install the open source app 'AFWall+' to restrict network traffic of your apps. Nothing found for the permissions, yet.
Other experiences, wishes, corrections, comments etc. are welcome!
Review of previous version: omni-4.3.1-20131108-i9100-HOMEMADE.zip
[what works]
► Calls (Phone) / SMS (Messaging) = stable
► WiFi = stable
► Alarms (Clock) = stable
► complete Settings (incl. the unlocked points <Developer Options> and <Performance>) incl. <Network speed indicator> and <Change password> changing the password used for device encryption (instead of taking the unlock PIN or PW for that) = functional
► Browser, Calculator, Calendar (also tested with Birthday Adapter incl. synchronisation), Camera (incl. lockscreen widget), Dev Tools, Gallery (incl. video funktionality), GPS (tested with OsmAnd incl. compass functionality), DSP Manager, Music, People (incl. vCard import), Torch (incl. ► Bluetooth, Email, Movie Studio & Voice Dialer = successfully opened, but not further tested
[what doesn't out of the box]
► Data access over mobile network
☼ workaround: set APN settings manually over Settings -> More... -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> (+) -> [use the APN settings of your provider]
► (managed) root access
☼ workaround: install SuperSU
► DashClock Widgetseems to be unstable
• the half of the displayed time doesn't fit in the reserved frame within the lockscreen and can't be resized.
• trying to open settings brings the error: "Unfortunately, DashClock Widget has stopped."
☼ workaround: Settings -> Apps -> All -> DashClock Widget -> Disable and reset Digital Clock within the lockscreen to fit the correct size of the displayed time in frame.
► Clock doesn't start if opened over the slide down quick settings menu. (Only available / shown if an alarm is set)
☼ workaround: open the app over regular menu
► After enabling airplane mode, the signal bar keeps shown in status bar (and the <Signal strength> in About phone -> Status is growing up to an abnormal great value). However, the device seems to be offline...
☼ useless info: the signal bar is not shown after rebooting in airplane mode

Few more issues
I've come accross these additional issues:
1) External SD card not accessible (32 GB)
2) USB MTP connection is unstable
Other than that I have to say that I am very satisfied with this ROM. It's definitely the fastest ROM I've ever used on S2. Everything is just smooth.

I also had this SD card access issue in the first 4.4 build, but not anymore in the actual build (omni-4.4-20131118-i9100-HOMEMADE.zip). I don't have any problems to access (read / write) my 16GB Card over MTP on Linux. On Windows, too but there is no possibility to "unmount" the device, so sometimes I see some already deleted files after reconnect...

I think I can't help without more informations. Have you seen the installation instructions before flashing? What happens if you want to access the recovery mode? Have you noticed tools like heimdall? Or other threads in the forum with solutions like that?
Thanks i installed

ROM generally looks and feels very good.
I lost access to my internal sdcard0 after encrypting the phone when connecting to a Exchange server.
I did find some more messages with similar problems and it seems to be an issue with the 4.4 base code but has anyone else seen this kind of issue?
the storage is there but you just can't seem to access it, only the system itself is able to put applications there, but gallery or any other app is unable to gain access.
With terminal I tried to see and even su - did not give me access to the contents of the card
Regards, balonatic.
dashclock
unfortunately dashclock widget stopped this error comes when I try to put the widget on home screen on lock screen
It's a wonderful ROM.
One of the issues that I faced is that sometimes the phone would be just like dead and on connecting the charger a battery icon with a question mark appears.
It won't boot then and will be stuck at the samsung boot logo.
It happened today and I had to do a clean flash again to resolve.
On infected's thread, I saw a post saying that this is some known issue.
Also the battery life for me seems to be terrible.
I have been working to isolate the issues causing this huge drain.

Try the latest OMNI build. Get it from @infected_ or use the official builds from here. There was the zzmove govenor merged and used by default. Other users says to that build, that they've played music for over 6 hours and the battery drain was just 35%... That seems to be a good value for me.

Opendelta
Hi,
Does anybody knows how to use opendelta?
When you get the zip and you select to update it, you have to flash it the same way as you downloaded the last nightly?
