Hi,
I have a problem on ICS , when I want to setup a VPN connection I must use a pattern or pin for lock screen .
Is there any way to use vpn with out setting any pattern or pin for lock screen ?
Thanks in advance .

Is there a solution (without using a 3rd party app) to get round this, makes the built in VPN functionality useless.
I found this solution for JB

When i try to install a wifi network in my university i need a certificate. When i install it with the network,it always wants me to setup a lockscreen with a pin or a pattern. I know this is a issue caused by the systemadmin, but is there any solution to turn this off, because it is very annoying for me.is there any app or a setting i can change?

Hi akl,
I'm trying to find a solution how to remove the system's request to enter a pin or use a pattern lock screen when trying to setup a vpn connection.
I'm rooted but still on stock ICS.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Hey everybody,
So I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (Sprint) running 4.1.1 on CyanogenMod, However this question pertains to multiple handsets across all of the carriers.
If you've ever tried to set up a VPN or other secure WiFi connection (802.1x) you'll notice that android then makes you secure your lock screen either via a PIN or a pattern lock.
My question is, is there a way to disable this requirement while maintaining the connection configuration? I have root and terminal access.
Any Help is appreciated.
Thanks,
CMNDR
I don't think so...it's up to the ROM...

Click to collapse
Which would make me think that it could be changed via cmd line. Anyone else have any thoughts?
Hi,
is there way to set up a IPSEC VPN without having to enable a screen unlock method in cm10?
I read a few threads about using a bug in the "forgot unlock pin/pattern", but that option doesn't appear on my devices (Galaxy Nexus & Nexus 7, both CM10 M2).
Hello
I have nexus 4 with kitkat installed, I have my WiFi WPS Pin code and I want to connect using it.
I can't find an option to use that pin in connecting, what should I do?
Thanks
Did you find a way to do this?
