[Q] Using VPN without screen lock on cm10? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
is there way to set up a IPSEC VPN without having to enable a screen unlock method in cm10?
I read a few threads about using a bug in the "forgot unlock pin/pattern", but that option doesn't appear on my devices (Galaxy Nexus & Nexus 7, both CM10 M2).

Is there a solution (without using a 3rd party app) to get round this, makes the built in VPN functionality useless.

Override pin request on VPN

Hi akl,
I'm trying to find a solution how to remove the system's request to enter a pin or use a pattern lock screen when trying to setup a vpn connection.
I'm rooted but still on stock ICS.
Thanks for your thoughts!

[Q] WiFi Credentials Storage Requires Home

I noticed that when I upgraded to a new phone with ICS that I now have to enable lock screen security in order to store WiFi credentials. I know that this is an enhanced security feature, but I would still like to be able to bypass it. I'm not rooted at this time though. Is there an app or another work around that would allow me to bypass this security feature and not have to use the security feature from the lock screen?
Thanks,
Kevin

[Q] Android app for PPTP VPN no root and no pass on lockscreen

Can anyone help? I am in a search for Android app, that will let me setup PPTP VPN connection, without being forced to use password for the lockscreen, and without the phone being rooted (I use Nexus 4, but not in the mood to root, no need up till now). I have found only RootVPN that require root. All other apps are openVPN
I have setup up the phone now, using the options in settings, and it works now, but this lockscreen pisses me off!
