So I finally rooted my X10 , installed xrecovery 0.3 and a rom. So everything went fine , I installed the rom and rebooted the phone but now it just hangs at the Sony Ericsson screen. I tried to remove the battery and then get into recovery , made it happen only once ( Re-flashed the same rom ) and it's stuck on the screen a gain and won't even boot to recovery!
I can't use ADB as it says that there's no permission. Please help me!
First of all, do you know the process of flashing a custom ROM, did you read the instructions properly, have you gone onto YouTube and typed in how to flash xperia x10 using flashtool??
I have over 5 devices at home , all of them are rooted and working perfectly ( With custom roms etc)
I am no fool , wiped everything followed instructions and etc.
Any help? It's kinda important.
Also , I was thinking about flashing tft firmware using Flashtool but megaupload is closed so I can't download them , can anyone share a working link?
You can just use pc companion.

Well I made it into recovery now , everything's fine but the fact the the PC from recovery won't let me access the storage. ( Mass storage mount : On )
Help
@Arcaneex how did you get it to boot into recovery?? I've got the same problem as you, stuck at the SE logo, and can't get it to do anything..
Use pc companion to restore and then root , install busybox , install xrecovery and a rom

Well depending on what firmware you flash you may need to flash the gingerbread basebrand and kernel as well or you will get stuck in the boot screen....start from scratch...reflash 2.1 firmware(or 2.3 i dont know which you used)...root...install xrecovery...wipe...flash ROM...flash kernel/basebrand if necessary...and there you go...make sure you ROM is for locked BL as well

Please answer this question, what the heck did you downgrade, I hope you just downgraded the kernal.
What method of rooting did you use?
But first, what is your phone's:
firmware: 2.1 or 2.3
baseband
do you have xrecovery
If you would like help, I and others are willing to help you. Just post again and I will post links of the rooting method and guides to flashtool.
It happened to me... I was trying to install Jerpelea's latest 2.3.5, and suddenly my phone keeps rebooting from SE logo.. I can go into xrecovery, but when I try to recover a backup, it says it can't mount the sdcard...
What can i do?
Is my phone ruined??
Tks..
Have you installed latest SE adb driver?
Unplug your battery about 3 minutes then plug it again, use flashtool to flash 2.1 firmware, then connect it and press back button till green light appear, let it alone till finished.
Root your 2.1 fw, install recovery, and simply flash wolf 2.3 ROM, unplug your battery, plug it again and flash baseband 71.
Now your phone should be boot properly.
You almost cant break your X10 by flashing anything, cause bootloader is locked.

You cant ruin it mate.
Just install your recovery again, try with apk.
I think you have old recovery, cause this problem appear when gb just released, and now fixed.
You can find topic about it on X10 android development forums, Z already fixed it.

Ok, but the problem is: I can't start the phone, and the sdcard doesn't mount properly so I can recover a backup....
How can I install de recovery again without starting the phone?
You're right, I had the old recovery installed...
EDIT: And now I cant even go into recovery... It's fully stuck on SE logo... Damn!
Turn phone off. Boot pc companion. Goto update service. Click update. Says no phone found. Click repair option. Follow steps on screen. It will flash latest SE firmware. Root. Install recovery. Restore your backup on your now mountable sd card. Done you can't break this phone, can always restore through pc companion.

Flash stock firmware from flashtool, if you dont know about how to use flashtool.
Just go to x10 android development forum, find thread about flashtool by androxyde.
Dont be so worry about your phone, you cant break it with flashing ROM or kernel.

also keep it in your pc for further use
Hi. I'm a newbie on xda and I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me.
I have a problem with my X10i. It used to run stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread with root access and busybox / xRecovery 0.3 already installed. I decided to install DiXperia 7 'Avenger' by DiKeJ (greetings, buddy) on my device using xR. I downloaded the ROM and pasted it directly into my SD card. Then I did all the steps:
-Factory Reset
-Wipe Cache Partition
-Wipe Dalvik Cache
-Wipe Battery Stats
I choosed Install Custom Zip to install DX7. The console displayed few lines of code which I don't remember and this error:
Code:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(Device or resource busy)
E: Can't mount /sdcard
After this my phone freezes on SE logo, I can't run xRecovery, system or even charge my phone. I tried to flash it using Flashtool, but it doesn't recognize my device.
Is there any chance to resurrect my Xperia? I want to use it again, even with the stock ROM?
Greetings
Yes it possible, and impossible to break your device for now - sometimes this problem exist, don't know why, and not only on my ROM - it's possible on all X10, I had it too one time when I wanted to flash Wolfbreak's ROM v4 (old time ). Let's back to your problem - you need to apply again Stock ROM 2.3.3 - install it via SEUS/PcCompanion (or FlashTool, but I suggest official app. If you can't flash via FT, then you need to update your drivers for X10), and then make Root, Busybox, and xRecovery 0.3, I suggest you GB ready (the newest FlashTool have it included all). Then problem should dissapear, without anything. I think it should help. Take care buddy .
DiKeJ I can't remember. Does Your ROM require an unlocked bootloader?

Thank you very much, DiKeJ. My X10 has been saved!
But I still want to install DX7. What did I do wrong (or what's wrong with my SD card)? How can I make it work next time?
Anybody care to tell me how to get any of those methods to work? I got my x10 stuck at the SE logo while flashing, and I can't do anything with it. None of the programs can recognize it and it won't boot into recovery.
can you help me my x10i freeze at "Sony Ericsson" after rooting kernel help me please
im from philippines and i don't think we have sony ericsson care here
can you send me in my email? [email protected] please
I guess the best solution to get ride of this issue is to flash the stock full firmware and then do everything from the beginning.
To do that, you should visit this topic : [TOOL/X10] [UPDATE 07/04/2012] Flashtool version 0.6.9.0
Then flash a generic firmware(you choose whatever you like) using flashtool
Once your phone is booted, you can try to mod it as you wish.
If you would like to change the kernel, I advise you to unlock the bootloader : read the topic
Hope this gonna help

It should work in x10i manong, just start from the beginning which you need apply again the stock 2.3.3 ROM from sony ericsson (sony mobile these days) via PC Suite then Root and install busybox and xRecovery 0.3 and the problem is solved. I tried it to my friend's phone which is x10i also, and it works. Just follow the instructions given by DiKeJ and you'll be fine. :good:
Help men!!
Yesterday I got a used x10i. I rooted it, installed a recovery and unlocked bootloader.
After that I installed the X10S rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516960
Today I tried to go to Android 4 with this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782771
In the instruction says to flash an fxp kernel but all links are dead so I found another fxp kernel that said it was compatible with CM9 and ICS roms.
I did it successfully but I couldnt install the rom.
After that I downloaded the stock-based rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693489
It loaded without problem but when it works always in landscape mode and i cannot connect it to my pc, so I cannot use flashtool.
What should I do???
Help me friends! :crying:

finally i got my phone working with CM7.2
now i should go to another rom
Hi had some problems with this mobile before 5 months.. My mobile was been rooted and it was working well, unital i tried to flash some gaming rom (devilz gaming rom or something like that) then my mobile stucked at boot screen... I tried to go on recovery but I was unable, it wont boot in recovery... And somehow i flashed another rom ( VIP rom, its Croatian network service idk how to say it on English) and after that my recovery just wont work.. Its like it unflashed... I cant flash rom or anything... So i need help now i tried to flash recovery with flash tool but that option is unclickable ( i cant click on it/flash recovery)...
Thanks.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that when i use app root checker it said that phone is rooted...
Download an app that can verify your root... like titanium backup... also if ur superuser app is denied which u get after root then you cdnt have done it properly... id say try again and again... i lost my recovery and also cdnt click the recovery button in ft... but today after flashing outa fashion the recovery option was available again... so i did a new recovery with clockwork... preferred the 0.3GB recovery so installed that rather. Everything seems hunky but the phone wont pick up the simcard... none that i put in. So does that mean i nd to rebrand or what... used s1tool and all looking good. Im running 2.1 update 1. I want to run 3.0.0.75. I downloaded a ftf that is just kernel and baseband... can i flash that over my 2.1 without hassles? What wd the procedure be for that? Thanks in advance

OK so I was really sleepy last night .. and I rooted and flashed cwm recovery 6.0 into my xperia mini. I didnt take a backup cause I was experienced on installing custom roms on my other phones.. and I downloaded Resurrection Remix Rom for my phone. Thinking it would work only by flashing it through CWM would work cause it used to work on my other phone.. I flashed it. But during flashing It failed and said device error. Keep in mind I didnt unlock my bootloader and nor do I have any experience about fastboot :/ . After that its stuck at Sony Logo.. and now in the morning when i was about to flash ZellyCream 6, I discovered that now CWM is not opening. I tried using Update Service and when I looked at it, It didnt have Xperia Mini -_- . Now what to do ?
Xperia Firmware .587
Also The Flashtool seems to have just disappeared from thier site, nor Can i find it on here .. If anyone can maybe upload the flashtool and a stock rom maybe I can recover it ? :/
Please help

Thanks for replying early .
Wow Strange. I cannot seem to download it. For some reason I am getting a white blank page after clicking the link. Maybe I need a helping hand again . Can I flash it using Emma or something which I downloaded from Sony Site. If yes how ?
Try this link,

I'm unsure about Emma because I never used it. I will try to help u more when I get out of work.

I think the ROM you were trying to install requires unlocked bootloader.. You probably need to go through the Sony's unlocking bootloader tutorial... And clean up the /system and /data via fastboot command from cmd itself... Then clean install any ROM
