Hi members.
My current WT19i configuration looks likes this: X-Kernel 2.6.32.59 and Hybroman v16 rom.
I want to remove darktremors a2sd script and change to link2sd. I want to use link2sd, because i want decide which app, widget will go to ext. partition.
1. How can i completly remove darktremor?
On an older cwm version (4.0.0.5) i used with my galaxy mini i could partition my sd-card. Currently with my WT19i, i am on cwm 5.0.2.8 and there is no option to partion the sd-card. Ok, i can achieve an ext. partion with the help of MiniTool Partition Wizard.
2. What partion should i use? Ext2, ext3 or ext4?
Again thanks for any support.
Come on members, there should be anyone helping me.:-/
I did some research myself. Hybroman v16 is such a great rom. I want to go on with it. Only thing annoying me is the old crappy a2sd. Link2sd is the better app. There must be a way.
Here is a screen what the a2sd check command gave me. Also typed a2sd remove but that didn't helped me either.

I dont know which methods like darktermor or APP2SDGUI or what ever u are following to move ur apps to SD but here one simple method i would like to share, my method to move to SD.
Format ur SD card with FAT32, which can be done by windows in its usual method.
First Go to Setting>Cyanogen Settings>Application settings
1. Check Allow application moving
2. Install Location > External
3.Check Permission managment.
4.Reboot
And application like App2SD Sam Liu to know which is in phone memory and which is in SD card.

You can see apps like Maps and Facebook, G+ on SD, which usually installs on phone memory.
Caution: I came to know that u will be losing widget option from the below post. Yeah its true.
and i would like to thank Grif_07 and ketut.kumajaya for making CyanogenMod possible on Galaxy Ace
I agreed...nice tutorial..but this is not the tutorial for the a2sdgui script..this is just how to install/move application to SD card..this can be done by titanium backup also...but the issue with all such movement is..u will lost widget options...
Hi sorry it this is posted on the wrong section but i found this for galaxy note and the file vold.fstab is equal to the one in sgs2 so does anyone know if it works??

Why don't you just try it, then you'll know
Don't forget to back up your original void.fstab file.
I personally use this kind of phone on my previous phone (galaxy SL). It had only 4gb internal (around 1.5 useable). But on this phone I don't think this really a necessity. HD games and other memory consuming apps can be saved with a lot of excess space.
Update us if it works.
Will do a nandroid backup and will try! I'll post here the results
So i have very good news guys! This does work in perfection and here are some screenshots to prove it
With original vold.fstab:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
With modified vold.fstab:
And in attachments the modified vold.fstab and the original one!
Use this with caution and of course: YOU NEED TO BE ROOTED!
Have fun!
Will learn to make a CWM that backups the original to the /sdcard and that clears /cache and dalvik cache! Or if anyone can make it for me i would be very thankful!
Thanks in advance!
Yeah,this works great,thanks.
First time I did this though I didn't backup the vold.fstab in the original directory in which I modified it.On the Galaxy W it caused me no end of problems,so I learn't my lesson.
Hello i have a problem with MiniCM9 on my x10 mini pro.

The system partion is completely full and a can't write the link2sd script to the partion. Same problem as by adaway.
Is it possible to make some space free on the system partion?
thomas

Friends here is an application called '/system/app mover' which moves apps from system/app to data/app to make more space in system partition. Then you can easily move these apps to SD card. This is the most convenient solution I have found yet to overcome system space problem for ICS/JB ROMs.
Here is the link to play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.systemappmover&hl=en
I use tassadar's multirom and arnab's app to install and boot ics and jb ROMs from sd-ext partition. This way I don't have to wipe my main ROM from internal memory and I may have several ROMs on sd-ext.

what? could you please post a link to those two apps?
Multirom apps and more infos here:

You can also move apps to (and from) /system/app with link2sd converting user apps to system Apps and visa versa

good suggestions.
Hi,
I am not sure if this is the right place for this question but I will be posting it here anyways, I'm having trouble with the Link2SD app which gives me an error message 'Mount script cannot be created. No such device'. Even tho my SD card is properly partitioned in ext4 format and mounts well on my Sony Xperia Mini ST15i.

The problem occur on my Samsung GALAXY Ace GT-S5830i with TouchWiz Resurrected ROM installed. I tried it as well on the Stock ROM (2.3.6 Gingerbread) but both gives me the same error message.
So far I tried:
Update the Superuser app and the su binary, in my case, I've flashed the SuperSU root by Chainfire through CWM recovery. (not solved)
Make Link2SD as a system application. (not solved)
Any way to solve this?
It took several hours finding the right solution and didn't notice that the answer is actually right under my nose :silly:
So all I did to finally mount the 2nd partition is reformat it from ext4 to ext2 filesystem.
SD Card 2nd Partition is mounted.
Problem solved.
