Is there anyone using ICS ROM and tell me ur experience ? I am finding a best ICS ROM,currently using resurrection remix ics 9.6 ..
After trying many ICS roms, I have settled on D4 Rom. It is stable (no fc's as yet), fast and has good battery life. I am also using NEAK 2.0.2 kernel & they are a great pairing.

I've tried out 3 and I like the Resurrection Remix ics ROMs (first used v1.0 and now on v1.1) and fiddling with different kernels (liking Siyah 3).
I don't think you will find a "BEST ROM"... it's preference really.
Now as for the experience... so far so good, as long as you read up on it and follow ALL instructions right. There are some issues here and there, but most have been fixed and the developer posts update files you need to fix any issues.
I for one think it's good to find a ROM that has many users to help find bugs and correct them.
PS
If you find a ROM you like (with stability and performance tweaks you like)... don't forget to let them know of bugs you have AFTER you already searched their thread to see if others have already reported it. This can surely help them make it better and for you to find an ALMOST perfect ROM ^^

D4 Rom battery is ugly, don't really like it .
I had Tried several ICS roms on my Samsung Galaxy s2
I tried Resurrection ICS both 1.0 and 1.1.But they wont impress me as they would lot of fc's. So then I moved to Batista70 0.8 with cpu overclock. It is pretty good fast and stable so far no fc's. I would recommend you Batista70 0.8
I've only tried Resurrection Remix ics ROM both V1.0 and currently on V1.1.
I have only encountered a single FC due to update on T9 dialler which is known in before hand. But I expect this ROM to be updated frequently due to its popularity and it fits my style.
I am thinking of CM ROM or Litening ROM.

[SOLVED] The best "STABLE" ROMs for LG Optimus One (GB and ICS) [Constantly Updated]
FIRST OF ALL A SWEET NOTE TO ALL MEMBERS. THIS THREAD IS NOT MEANT FOR FINDING THE BEST ROM OR WHATEVER IN XDA. BECAUSE, THE CHOICE OF ROM IS ENTIRELY DEPENDENT ON THE USER AND SO, THIS TITLE IS USELESS.
THROUGH THIS THREAD, WHAT I MEAN IS TO HELP THE NOVICE USER IN FINDING A STABLE ROM WHICH CAN BE FLASHED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS PHONE
Hi everyone. From these forums, I can find that most of the noobs are finding problems finding a good user customized ROM for our beloved LG Optimus One.
I have tested all (Yes I mean it) the ROMs from XDA, and found only a few stable ones. Hereby I will be listing those ROMs (Stable ones of Gingerbread and ICS only) with bugs if any. All the noobs will be able to find the most stable ROMs in the first few posts over here, as the posts are constantly updated.
Currently the most stable ROMs for our LG Optimus one (ACCORDING TO MY OPINION) are listed below
Guys, please feel free to point out any bugs you have found out in these roms.
If you have come across any roms offering better stability, please share that too.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gingerbread Version (old Baseband)
Guys, just after rooting your phone and installing the custom recovery, you guys can readily try these ROMs. Nothing more to do . These ROMs will make your phone fly
Noejn's void. #forever (Completely Stripped off Gingerbread ROM, Superfast, Addons available) STABLE
mik_os' CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (Android 2.3.7) (The first and the best CM7 port) STABLE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gingerbread Version (New Baseband & Cyanogenmod Nightly Based)
Please note, Do not try these ROMs at any cost without updating your phone's baseband
adfad666' CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 Nightlies (Original Cyanogen 7.2 ported over to P500, Nothing stripped. So heavy for the phone)
eeee616' NightlyFourE
Having some minor bugs, but faster than Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 because of preinstalled scripts
popdog123, Oxygen ROM 2.3.2 (Usb tethering bug, 2g to 3g switching bug)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ICS Versions:
All ROMS listed in this Section are based on New baseband. Do not flash these ROMs without updating the baseband 1st
lupohirp, Cyanogenmod 9 (Android 4.0.3) Not stable so far, but very limited bugs
popdog123, Oxygen ROM 2.3.2 (Best Gingerbread ROM)..............
That's your opinion mate.
CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC0 Nightlies are the best for me.
You shouldn't write "This is the best GB ROM, this is the best ICS ROM".
Give people the best options so they can choose for themselves.
Putting old and outdated ROMs in the list, like Void Forever and Mik's CM7 is not going to help in anyway the newcomers.
Likelihood of the different roms is entirely dependent on the users. Some like cm7, some like cm9, some like oxygen. It depends on what a particular user need. A user cannot satisfy unless he has tried all the roms posted in this section.
Current Oxygen ROM has still problems reconnecting data when switching from 3G to 2G so I won't write "no bugs at all"
outdated

mik's cm7 rom is the best rom for someone who has the old baseband and doesnt want to risk bricking their phone with kdz or lgdmp
so it still is useful
Regarding popdogs123's Oxygen ROM
"This ROM is now for new baseband only (as of v2.2)"
Do not discount the stock ROMs...I have V20i (graciously uploaded in the forums by yuripg1 as a zip) and have ZERO complains.
I would actually recommend it to any newbie that is looking for stability and does not need too many bells and whistles (other than OC and some tweaks).
My 2 cents

Wanna kick me out?
In the end, I value stability over features. I think a good kernel is what most people ever need.
I believe you that modded ROMs are "better" (define the notion) but if I get crashes in the middle of a call I'll reconsider using that ROM/kernel.
I'm not conservative, I just hate to wake up in the morning and see my phone has crashed (happened twice while I was testing franco#4) and I missed calls.
No one has the right to decide which ROM is the best...
U might like something i wont...
Also, such rankings and segmentations can discourage a developer...
Each developer works hard to provide us the best, its upto ourselves to decide whats best...
Hope you get my point..
Good luck!

Nice but still i don't find any significance to this thread.
Next, in mik_os's CyanogenMod 7.1.0, not just add the first stable gingerbread rom but also "The first and the best CM7 port"
You are running nightlies today because of mik_os, almost half of the P500 git is filled with mik's patches and even Adfad666's roms like A8, N2 are the continuation of Mik_os's sources
popdog123's Oxygen ROM 2.3.2 is now only for new baseband
please do the corrections accordingly
Lewa is a really good ROM. I find it stable enough for day to day use.

I thing this thread should be deleted, or changed as "stable ROMs in my opinion". Some of those ROMs still have issues, which can be consider as major ones for the people who need the features not working properly.
why you guys don't make a poll? we are really interested in finding a stable custom ROM for a daily use. for example now i use NightlyFourE and i'm pretty disappointed because that SD auto-scanning for media content doesn't work! and it's killing me inside because i cannot listen music or watch movies. i've tried to fix the problem(like rebooting, reflashing the ROM) but nothing worked. now, i have to find another ROM much stable and with less bugs. cheers!
Try Oxygen, #void forever or Bytecode's OpenOptimus.
Oxygen has a data bug, I know, but otherwise is a great ROM.

problem solved! apparently there was something inside SD card. some kind of virus or i don't know. Rom is absolutely fine now i'm upgrading at 4.6(NightlyFourE) cheers!
Thanks for pointing that out bro.

Hi bro, can you please share how to correct that issue? Me 2 feeling the same problem
Hi everybody.
I have been having issues with Miui rom performance ever since the ICS release.
I see many ppl commenting @ miui forum how the releases are working perfectly
for them and no problems but for me generaly those few ICS releases have been
nothing but slow laggy and unresponsive.
No other rom behaves like this. Everything works (camera, sms, calling).
I have tried all possible roms, both GB and ICS and none is slow and unresponsive like Miui.
Right now i'm running Checkrom RevoHD V6 becuz i found the battery drain
be the best for my phone and N.E.A.K 1.4.2x kernel.
SlimICS wich is the last ICS rom i had was almost same battery drain as Checkrom
just not as smooth yet.
Anyone experience same issues?
No I don't have any of these problems.
The only problems I have with MIUI are the known bugs or rom specific bugs.
How do you flash?
Are you comming from a stock rom ?

Last time i used it i came from SlimICS 3.2
Stock i havent used for quite a while.
I've always done full wipe wiping system, data, emmc, cache, dalvik-cache and battery stats
and after all those manual wipes i run the Ultimate cleaner script 2.4
I did not have this problem the GB based Miui.
I like the gui of the rom and also battery is excellent with it.
But Lag and stutter is not fun
Thx for the quick reply!
Still same issue with the newest Miui.
Installed a GB rom (Epsilon Project) and it's like night and day.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
But simply puting a question mark at the end of your statement will not make it a Question.
There is a thread in General for discussing V4 MIUI ICS also many other threads are there which port the ICS ROMs also. Bugs & problems of Beta versions should be reported there not here. otherwise use a Stable version (GB).
Reminded, this is a Q&A section.

After seeing a few other threads in this forum section where people post bug & problems i tought it was the right section to post my question.
I'm sorry if i was not clear enough but it is a general question about the rom and how others
who tested it feel like.
Asking in Miui forum might only be seen by users who currently run miui.
Thus i would be missing toughts from users who tested it and experienced same issue and moved on to another rom.
Admins are free to move the thread if i made a mistake.
You can find lot of discussions on V4 in the thread whcih lnked in my post...
Me too waiting for a stable ICS MIUI version.

Team SpeedCore roms
As a droid razr rom developer of course im going to go with the roms i created
DualCore is the more stable rom, being ICS. Battery life is insanely awesome, I added in extra modules and build tweaks. Also has 4.2 apps, including camera and keyboard. If you flash this one, make sure to flash the provided gapps, under the gapps directory called gappsfordc2.3.
Then there's JellyCore series roms. These are jellybean roms, (CM10, AOKP, AOSP and CNA) not as stable, but still work good. Bluetooth phone calls dont work and auto rotate is buggy, but that's about it. Also has modules and tweaks. Use regular latest jb gapps. I have that in my gapps directory too.
All my roms are available here:

CM10.1
I think CM10.1 is a pretty good one. Their are some bugs, like no auto camera flash and gps , but its good for daily use. Also u schould have a look at the PAC ROM.
Max
I also like CM10.1 and currently have it installed for test on 2nd slot since some days. So far I think that is already can be used as daily driver. Bugs I noticed.
1) no query on SIM pin
2) no camera flash
3) reboots when USB is connected to PC
4) configuration of notification LED colours does not work properly
The ROM uses as default storage the external SD card instead the internal one. I like this feature.
Another ROM I use since some weeks and which is very stable, well performing and battery life is great, is customer ROM that is based on JB stock ROM 4.1.2. It uses inverted GApps which looks great for me.

Hi guys, I have some experience on xperia mini because it is my gf's phone and sometimes she leaves it to me so that I just flash something.
I remember when it was on gb: really smooth and fast, gameplay was awesome too, in stock rom and in modded rom.
Now it is on ics and it seems to be more laggy, battery sucker and with less stability. It is on stock rom with crossbreeder and lupus kernel, I've found this as the best ics combination for better stability but I remember gb was one other thing.
I haven't tried jb yet but, onestly, I'm not so convinced.
My questions are: which android version have you preferred? And why? Have you experienced my same sensations?

Im also having a Xperia Miniā¢ and received per-installed ICS..Stock OS is ok to me but limited features.Main problem is battery life.So I moved to a custom rom and then I start the flashing war .
I tried lot of custom rom's with varies kernels. I found some good custom rom's which can play HD games smoothly and with more features. So I think custom Rom's are good but still there are some bugs because those rom developers not from SE software team...
Btw,I think ICS is better than GB..Support applications,more features..etc
OP really the only way of knowing is to test/flash for yourself, better yet read thru the forums Development section. If you are allowed to test on the device...
There are to many variables involved in asking others what they prefer....usage/apps so on. Thanks
Hello. I know that this question is asked a million times, but answers to them are already obsolete. Currently am looking ( I am sure I am not the only one) for headache-free, stable and fast ROM as my daily driver. I just want to install a ROM, tweak it a little if I have to and be sure it will work me for another year or so (I am to tired to flash 3rd ROM in a row to see it have major problem).
So if someone would post a brief information about ROM you are using, any custom modification, setting tweaking, flashed custom kernel and potential tradeoffs You The Real MVP.
My experencie with Rom's so far:
Archidroid v3.0.2 (kitkat)
Previously I used as a daily driver which really worked nice for me, until I got infamous "google services stopped worked" which I fixed only by turning google location service (making some cool aps unusable) . Shame, it is the best ROM I tried. The only problem I had was for camera sometimes freezing in black screen, but it happened very rarely.
There was suggestion to re-flash this ROM with flashing never GAPS from OpenGAPS project. Tried, but again got "google services stopped worked". I saw some other workarounds I could try, but I want to be sure there isn't anything better before I try it.
Archidroid v3.1.5 (Lolipop)
Based on lollipop, everything works reliably, BUT much slower then on Kitkat version. Though strangely, decreasing dpi to 240 improved performance dramatically. Many users agree that 3.0.2 is still the better one.
Cyanogenmod-13 (Marshmallow)
Looks promising, fast out of the box with some interesting features. However still buggy (torch not working on lock screen, chrome/ radio crashes phone and so on).
So far as I understand best ROM's are based on Kitkat - Lollipop and Marshmallow needs more ram to run effectively then s3 has. So even some developers suggest sticking to older Android versions. I also heard Boeffla kernel is the best one though I didn't try it personally. What makes it so special ?
Try Liquid Smooth KK rom with boeffla kernel
CyanogenMod 11

Heh, thanks. I actually flashed cyanogenmod 11 stable and indeed, its stable as it should. Was some problems flashing OpenGAPS but managed to fix flashing version without Aroma installer.
Could anyone tell more about boeffla kernel? What is so special about it ? I know that I can tweek some settings, but I am not going to trade stability for +100 benchmark points.

I use boeffla on all roms because of boeffla sound tweaks and easy zram setup.
Best rom is pacman kk rom, all features in one, bugless...
If u need i will send u gapps that i used before on that rom and worked great.
Only thing it doesnt work, like on all kk, lp and probably mm is noise supression for viber/whatsapp calls. I tried all kk, most lp roms, tried everything to enable ns for voip but it could not be enabled.
Touch wiz rom i recommend is ncsrom, most lightweight rom, fast and stable, made with boeffla kernel...
