Hello,
HELP Please!!!
I just unlocked, rooted with cwm and SAUROM, added modem t989 with cwm.
With CWM install, I saved all data and then erased all data before installing Saurom. After installation of Saurom, I restored the data, then I added the modem.
sim card installed, reboot. Phone turns on, but not apps open and phone keeps looking, nothing works.
What should I do now?
Thanks,
I would try to flash again. Wipe everything first in cwm. And dont restore ur apps, redownload them from the play store. If u still have probs flash back to stock wit Odin. Theres threads in the dev section on this.

Where do I find the file to bring it back to stock with Odin?
No need to go back to stock
Do this:
Recovery
clear data, d cache, and cache
Flash Rom
Reboot
Clear d cache, cache
Flash modem
Make sure its the correct modem

I am sorry if this was answered before, but I have tried to search and couldnt find anything..
I have a Samsung Vibrant, of course, and had flashed Trigger 3.2. It was working great until applications started to fail such as the web browser. The applications will start but never actually run. So I tried to restore my nandroid backup, but after doing that, everytime I try to reboot my phone it stays stuck on the lock screen with "Searching" on the top right corner. Im assuming it is searching for the network, but it wont let me unlock the phone. I flashed Trigger again and it worked fine. I try restoring and Im stuck again. I also tried to factory reset and it still does the same thing.
has anyone else encountered this and know how to fix it?
Just odin back to stock with dl mode

Factory reset from Recovery and re-flash Trigger again this time wiping cache, dalvik and fixing permissions after the flash. Now when restoring make sure to check APPS ONLY.

This is all correct. It is likely when restoring you are restoring old system data
thanks for the help! If I did this, would I still be able to flash back to stock or will I have to use Odin for that?

You have to remember when you Nandroid it doesnt flash the kernel back so you either need a flashable rom that has a stock kernel or odin back.
the above is correct make sure you do that!
Just as titled. From pi crust to stock using motor helper. I noticed it did not delete all my apps. I installed go launcher. It failed so I tried again. It said successful but I pressed home and was sent to a black screen :-( should I factory reset? Anything I can do in adb shell? I'm using my backup phone for now and I'm open to suggestions.

Flash a fruitcake or any other rom.... make sure to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition & dalvik cache in CWM before flashing. Also make sure your using ROM Racers latest CWM version. If you have a micro SD card, you can put your flashing .zips on there to flash.

Its no longer rooted or unlocked.. going to pudding route. Pre-rooted and has unlock script. Im going to stick to the stock rom though.
Just hoping maybe there was a script I could have ran to remove the go launcher. I don't understand why its not asking me which launcher to use.
Wow same problem. Took the SD card out and the phone will boot but I get errors about go launcher and I can't go home. Somehow I got the browser to open so I'm trying to download and install a launcher.
I was able to uninstall go launcher and now the phone is working... hmmm I thought a 1.5 MB sbf flash deleted everything!
Hey All,
I had been having troubles with 4.0.3 multi-dpi, so I thought I'd flash Saurom. I flashed this, but upon reboot, I got stuck at the samsung screen. It never went past there, just sat there forever. So, I went back into cwm (holding down vol up/vol down/power), and wiped everything again, and tried to flash saurom again, but same thing happened.
I then tried to flash back to 4.0.3 multi-dpi, with same results. I can get into CWM just fine, but it seems any rom I flash hangs at the samsung boot screen.
Does anyone have any ideas? Right now I'm completely down :/
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Sebastian
Hi sounds like a bad kernel flash.i would go into cwm, do the usually wipes, go to mounts and storage. Format data. Format system. Format cache only. Pull battery. Install any of the odin install Roms through download mode, That should fix your problem. Then you can start over and flash whatever Rom you want

You should restore the latest good backup you created before you flashed whatever is giving you problems.

Just a reminder, when you go to mounts and storage, do not fformat sd storage, this will wipe everything in your memory of your phone

A backup restore should do the trick.

Worse comes to worse you can flash stock Odin. If you one clicked for ICS, remember to flash bootloader first

From my gathering, Saurom & ICS 4.0.3 DPI are incompatible. Meaning you can't flash one on top of the other without doing a full wipe data/factory reset. Having said that, I think the best move then would be to flash back to stock via ODIN, install cwm, redownload whatever ROM to your ex sd card, mount system & data then re-flash.

I "believe" all you need to flash through Odin is the GB bootloader, then you can flash GB roms, the ICS bootloader is what causes the hang up with ROM incompatibilities

Be sure the ROM has the radio load and remember a Nandroid does not flash the radio load. That has to be done manually.

I'm not very familiar with Saurom but from what I've read I think that's correct. ICS needs a clean slate to operate from is all I was saying.
I installed the latest version of RemICS by using TWRM. (First deleted the caches and did that afterwards as well.)
Now the phone is still on the ReMICS - UX bootscreen, already for quite a long time. How long does this usually take the first time after flashing? We are talking about 15 minutes already. The bootscreen is still animated and moving and not frozen. Any thoughts on this?
Or is it impossible to succefully flash via TWRM?
Maybe a bad flash. Go back into recovery, clear data and cache, then reflash the ROM.
It that doesn't work download the file again and flash it.

I flashed it again. deleted the caches AND did a reset to factory defaults, which I thought you did anyway when deleting the caches and system files. That solved the issue for me. Thanks for the reply.
I am at a lose for what to do here.
I re installed peach sunrise on my Rooted Samsung Exhibit 2 to sell.
Did everything I had done before, but this time it is stuck in boot loop.
I've wiped cache, rom, dalvik, cache/dalvik, and data as someone told me to do.
Then re installed the rom.
Restart it up and bam boot look once again.
I've done this a million times..
HELP ME!
Perhaps I'm just doing it wrong? I haven't a clue. Anyone know how to fix this right now?
It can't be this hard..
Download the stock rom of your phone, wipe your whole phone, flash the stock rom via odin on pc while your device is connected to it.
Once installed wipe all your caches and restart the phone.
Now install the custom rom you wanted.
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Rareme.
