Help on my SE mini (st15i) , i just bought this phone yesterday and notice some files difficult to understand, now i just wondering if how i can receive bluetooth files coming from other phones to my own cp.. what apps should i need to download in order to activate that feature? thanks in advance

1. Activate Bluetooth from Settings menu
Settings - Wireless & Networks - tick Bluetooth
2. Enter Bluetooth settings menu, tick Discoverable (so another device can discover and pair).
3. Send file from another device, wait for notify when receiving file.

[Q] Bluetooth file transfer

I am unable to transfer an apk from my computer to my archos 70(latest firmware) using bluetooth. Is this a known issue or is there something i need to do to enable this?
I am able to send to my htc desire using my computer bluetooth.
Up.
The same. not only apk. any file.
I am able to transfer files from my pc to my Archos 43 via bluetooth without a problem, i know this sounds daft but did you make it discoverable under settings? and your only discoverable for 2 minutes. hope this helps
Also having problems getting the Archos 101it to communicate with anything else via Bluetooth. My Desire and laptop happily exchange files, but neither can send to the Archos. I just about managed to pair the Archos to my laptop, but then couldn't get them to communicate. Thought I'd try upnpairing and reconnect, but now the Archos won't pair with anything at all!
SOLUTION!
To recieve on ARchos you need to Install "Bluetooth file transfer".
It will activate "OPP". Plus you need activate discovery mode!

Thanks for the tip, can confirm this works perfectly! Just install the app from the Market, no need to actually use the send to send/receive, native Android services works as normal. Looks like FTP and OPP services were disabled by default (on my device at least) and just installing this app enables them.

[Q] How to setup wi-fi direct?

Hi all,
Just wondering how to setup wi-fi direct? I've gone into the menu and enabled it, hit scan, but it doesn't find either of my 2 laptops.
Do the laptops have to be wi-fi direct certified as well or is there some sort of configuration I have to do to make them available to the phone?

wi-wfi direkt is disabled on newer devices by samsung.......... because they have problems with licenses
I use wifi direct to send files from my phone to my friend's phone (he also has the Galaxy S II). Works perfectly and is really fast.

So I guess both devices must be wi-fi direct certified, because my phone doesn't pickup my laptop at all (which is about 3 years old).
Intel Wifi dashboard
there is a programm called intel wifi dashboard , this program enables wifi direct on laptop and then your laptop will be discovered by GSII
WIFI direct is like a private network between your laptop and your GS2 or just 2 GS2 that enables you to transfer files up to 1 Gb in size in just 2 or 3 mins ( i tried it myself by sending a 730 mb wmv file ) without the need of setting up a wireless network
and obviously it's much more faster and effiecent than bluetooth
Has anyone managed to transfer files between Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 and PC using Intel Dashboard?
I can get my Samsung SMART TV to detect my Android Phone

Okay, so I just rooted my phone and flashed a new ROM and it has Wifi-Direct option on it which basically, you just tick to enable and cannot configure. Since my Samsung SMART TV was wifi-Direct certified, I opened the Wifi-Direct Menu and it just detected my phone. It told me that I could either connect by pushing the Wifi-Direct Button on my Device (PBS Way) or by entering the TV-generated PIN on my Device( PIN Way). But I cannot see a "Enter the PIN" Notification pop up on my Android Device. Let me try a Third-Party App and lets see how it goes.

Update to 3.0.4, then connect it to your cellphone and if you're lucky it'll support the required protocol to send\receive SMS via bluetooth using the default messaging app.

Working for me on cm 7 alpha 2. Thanks
Textab works for me. The way I got it to work:
1) Install Bluetooth File Transfer
2) Install Textab
3) Turn on airplane mode.
4) Turn on bluetooth and pair devices. It says paired but not connected and won't connect, thats ok.
5) Open and connect through Bluetooth File Transfer. You should now be able to see the contents of the other device.
6) Open and connect through Textab.
I don't know if it will connect through other methods, this is what I did and it worked. After a while my wifi started screwing up and disconnecting (on the touchpad), I just booted into recovery and wiped my dalvik and cache, NOT BEFORE BACKING UP!!, rebooted and all was fine. I however did not reopen bluetooth file transfer after I wiped, still working. I also have left it in airplane mode and have turned on bluetooth and wifi and all still working. 1 observation, pictures and whatnot won't come through, only plain texts. Don't know if its cause its lite version or what??? Another note, sometimes it takes the phone a few trys to connect to the touchpad, touchpad usually doesn't have a problem. IF it won't connect, i'll turn off and back on bluetooth on both devices and it usually does the trick. If not, reboot and try again!
Good Luck!
And don't forget desk sms one of the best imho

[Q] Losing Wireless Media Transfer pairing

Hi
I have found that if you clear the data for the Media Storage app then you lose the pairing for wireless media transfer. I copied a few folders to my phone and ended up with a load of pics in album that i didnt want. I added a .nomedia file and had to clear the Media Storage data to stop the broken links showing in Album.
The problem this has caused is that i have now lost wireless media transfer. I have tried setting up the pairing again but on windows 8.1 you cant reconfigure network access and have to go through the companion app i believe. When i try and pair the phone it says that it is already paired.
Is there anyway of restoring this pairing?
Thanks
There has been issues that causes wifi drops in 4.4.2 google has fixed in 4.4.3, its not an xperia issue
Wait for a firmeware update

Hi,
The problem is not with the wifi dropping but the wireless media transfer. When you go into Settings>Xperia Connectivity>USB Connectivity. Under Wireless Media Transfer it usually shows your paired devices. However when you clear the Media Storage data it clears these pairings. When you try and pair it again it says that it is already paired but nothing is showing in the settings.
---
I have found the solution. When you browse the root of the phone, you will see a file with the name of the pc you have been paired to. If you delete that then you can pair the phone again.

I dont think google allows sharing apk over bluetooth , better use superbeam , Software data cable , or ES file explorer lan share(after connecting to same network)
