Hello everyone, I have very strange problem with my camera in SGA.
I use 2.3.6.
I noticed that after hard reset the phone but the problem disappeared after installing some applications, it appears. I do not know what the applications caused the problem, but in any case must be software.
Try different camera app n get conformed that there is hw problem. Or sw problem.....

Camera ICS - same problem but only horizontal lines
and with
Camera + - no problem
I think, hardware problem dude :/

Applications>all applications>camera>clear data.

Have you tried to reflash the CM via oddin or CWM? Ir tesa try to move the CM settings.

Did this always happen since you flash? Did it spontaneously appear? Info please.
No It did not happened since I flashed cm7.I think I m not sure but it started to happen after I fixed permissions in cwm............

You need to reflash. Fixing will set to standard, cm7 isnt standard.

For problem 2, you can try clearing data of your camera app in manage application.
For problem 4, you need to go to spare parts and select end button behavior to sleep.

hi ive run a few ics roms now and cameraa says unfortuantly camera has stopped or could not connect..whats up with my camera.. everyones reporting theres is ok
im using bezke 1.3 and the camera works fine. Are you wiping before installing each ROM?

Got it sorted so far .. while it was in repair it seems that they put the wrong camera fw on it after about 6 hrs at it i got tge right match and voila

Hi
I got a prob when taking pictures.
When I opened camera,there's a stripped bar brighter than the normal zone.
After restarting camera it's still there....changed rom and nothing solved, sometimes it happens,
sometimes won't.
So hardware prob or driver broken?

Driver problem. Sometimes happen here too using XWKT7. The picture taken would still normal.

Hey I just bought my S3 and I recognized that my camera has got a failure.?
When I want to capture a video there is One Pixel which flickers white :/ Am I the only person who has this problem ?
This problem occurs when I want to record a video but when I capture a photo there's no white flickering Pixel.
Is this a warranty problem ?

There's nothing wrong in that screenshot, it seems to me that your screen has that problem.
Actually when you zoom WAY in there is something.
Try take it back.

I'll try. The resolution is very small ( the xda app Dosen't Support bigger pictures )

I had the same problem. The only incident that I remember might cause this problem is that I rooted my mobile using the Samsung GS3 toolkit v1.0. I did that yesterday only. (See the firmware info attached). Since then, the camera app has same symptoms you mentioned and a dialog box: "Warning: Camera Failed" and a lovely "OK" button. (attached as well)

Dears,
I was able to fix the camera problem. Thank God.
I installed the SGS3 International toolkit v 4.0, used the rooting options to re-root the phone (Flash insecure Boot Image and Root Phone), made sure that the Busybox is installed, then rebooted.
It went fine with me and the camera is working now. I am attaching the images of the Kernel version. May be the whole problem was with the ninphetamin3-1.1.0 that was used to set a higher clock speed? Not pretty sure.

Two days back i realised...my phone's front cam's sensitivity has drastically dropped...i barely see anything even wen standing in daylight or inside a well lit room...i thot it cud b a hardware issue bt at the same time wen i run *#0*# tests the phone hangs while checking front cam...more over the camera app lags while switching between cams and a 'camera failed' error is displayed wen trying to click photos with front cam...any help wud b appreciated..thanks
PS: There had been no serious drops wid my fone that might damage the cam .... nd i hv tried every other camera app to make sure its not a problem wid the stock app...

I had about the same problem with my back camera too. When makinh photos or videos it would just hang and eventually fc. After doin a wipe data/factory reset it was all fine again, did u try that already?
