Hello,
I don't find encryption feature in menu of my Archos 80 G9.
I have tried to reinstall Archos ICS 4.0.5, Archos 3.2.80, ICS 4.0.5 rooted, ICS Blue, but result is the same : no encryption in the security menu.
In documentation, I found that is needed to charge at maximum the Archos, to set password or pin code and encryption is enable ...
Is someone has an idea, thanks !
perhaps this could help http://www.pcworld.com/article/242650/how_to_encrypt_your_smartphone.html

Hi to all
I have a tab with following specs
TCC8803 800mhz, 256ram, 4gb intern SD, display 7" 800x480 capacitive, HDMI, rtl8188cus wifi, no 3g. no bluetooth, no gps, support extern SD -32gb,
support extern keyb thru USB-OTG.
tab was rooted worked ok till tried to put Linux through Internet. Was downloading packages and then wifi lost connection.
ever since the chip warm-up ( opened tab and felt it ! ) but no display or sound at all !! I think i left it on debug mode in order to have
external keyboard work.
windows 7 will see it as 'unknown/ unrecognized' device, i forced ADB drivers to it, I get Android phone but also 'device cannot start.
Tried to conx with TV via HDMI but nothing there too.
I went through many forums, potential solutions but cant find anything applicable to my problem. Tried to format a 4gb SD with sardu
tested ok with quemu but nothing on the tab. no lights, no sound, silence of death !!! FYI no power led on this 150 euro device.
have saved some system files if someone wants me to upload.
So decided to ask for help / ideas in this forum.
thanks in adv
ps : android 2.3.1 gingerb, rooted w superclick 2.3.3.
anybody could help please ?
Hi,
I'm working on a project where I would sale an android tablet with dedicated App. (not for consumer market but Business to business)
the chosen tablet is Asus TF300T with the Ethernet port.
The problem I have is :
I would like my Application would have access in read/Write to the Ethernet Card settings (not Wifi)
This is relatively easy to do if the tablet is rooted -> but the rooting is something we can't do for many reasons.
by a work around, we succeeded to change the Ethernet IP address but didn't success to apply it (caused by the custom "apply" Asus button in ethernet settings page)
to apply the IP Adress we have to ask to the application user to go to the Settings page and push by himself the "apply" button ..... it's not the best.
My question is :
Is it possible to build a auto-signed flashable zip containing my Application, This flashable zip would install the App and give it the right access to the Ethernet card settings, without root rights needs?
or
Does exist a way that the Application reboot a tablet without root rights?
Thanks a lot for your help

Google is your friend:
a) You can visit the Archos Website, google Archos, then try the support pages which have instructions and link to flash image download: http://www.archos.com/gb/support/support_tech/updates_fwm.html
b) Better rom to use if you want like stock experience is here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum...stom-firmware-with-root-from-update-20130329/ which is link to download kasty-cobalt80-40-20130202-rooted.zip containing all the files you need to flash a stock image with a few tweaks (Google Play, Screen flicker, YouTube and sleep issues fixed and it is rooted)

Hi guys,
I'm on stock fw 2.1.21 cv_200 android 9. My problem is that I can't connect to the italian WOW FI network that uses PEAP authentication needing username and password for login. The only option available is the password field. All the submenu for authentication method etc. are not showing up. Can anyone help me to solve? I'm able to change fw is needed (if you provide me some guidelines).
Thanks
