How to remove Root the official version of GB... ?? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys... I'm planning to give my mobile to the samsung service to claim the guarantee coz my mobile home button have become very hard to press...
So I backuped the official Rom which came with my handset... Even flashed official Kernel to remove the recovery.. but Root didn't even Removed ... how is that possibl...? Is there any way?
I even worked with Triangle away to remove the flash counter and triangle...

just reflash the offical rom, from odin and everything will be removed and will be stock

Are you able to perform any actions that require root? Or are those apps just there, without the ability to perform their designated functions (example: restoring a back-up via Titanium Back-up)?

well if you flash orignal firmware via odin the counter will not be increase
counter increase only After root the firmware.
flash Only rom it will remove yellow icon and will not increase Counter

I think the firmware which you are flashing is not full wipe.Follow this:
1)Flash lpq or any other ics firmware and let it reboot and see if the root is still present if not
2)Now flash Indian firmware which was shipped with your phone.

Once used triangle away to reset flash counter then go to recovery and do a factory reset(full wipe), remove battery, go into download mode, flash DDKL1 full firmware of some 300 mb and don't flash anything else(flashing stock firmware don't increase flash counter

GT-I9100G can't not use usb jib

my phone i9100g ,can't not reset flash counter, any idea can fix???
Does it boot into downloadmode when you plug in the jig while it's powered off?
And just not reset the counter?
Check Intratech's stock ROM thread for the "old bootloader" and flash it.
I can't use a "jib" either...

What was unclear about this? It removes the custom binary flash counter, the one you see if you've flashed a non Samsung kernel from download mode, and also the corresponding indicator (triangle) when you boot your phone afterwards.

So don't flash anything, stick to stock, and wait for official updates via Kies.
I don't have triangle... I removed it using some other method... I have 2 counter.. but I just want to know why the need of reseting
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Resetting the flash counter isn't 'necessary'. But if you ever want to send your phone in for warranty service, not resetting the flash counter before you send it in for service might well mean you end up paying for your phone to be repaired/replaced rather than having same done on Samsung's dime.
Clear ?

Samsung warranty .
Void if custom rom or rooted phone or root apps or custom rom counter above zero .
Its as simple as that .
USB recovery jig can set custom rom to zero but not on later firmware with newer bootloader such as beta ICS .

Yellow Triangle on Boot.

Hi everyone.
Ive had my phone rooted for a while and ive been flashing allsorts over the past few months (kernels,roms,mods...)
I had the yellow triangle on boot when I first flashed the CFroot kernel (like everyone does)...
But somewhere along the line id managed to keep my phone rooted and somehow remove the triangle!
No matter what I flashed the triangle was still gone...
Unfortunatly today I had to 'ODIN' flash my stock rom again cuz all my backups were saying 'md5 mismatch' and thus the warning symbol appears when i root my phone again...
Does anyone know how I can root my phone and keep that triangle away? Without using the Triangle away app...
Thanks

Try using triangle away if youre using ICS, search for it. or flash a stock kernel that matches your firmware

Have a look at this thread, post 2 will tell you how to remove the yellow triangle then return CWM to full working order. If you flashed using chainfires CF root this will sort it for you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
You will need the stock kernel from this post that fits your phone so make sure you download the correct one

Try re-reading post 3, which is right above yours.
If you care to learn... the triangle is a visual indicator that a kernel that was NOT signed by Samsung is currently flashed to your phone.
So you can root your phone by flashing a CF-root kernel (linked in post 3), then re-flash a stock Samsung signed kernel (also in that post) to remove the triangle, and you will retain root. (That will NOT, however, remove the flash count. But you didn't ask about that...)
if u use a GB Rom u cand remove with ISB JIG,but before install with ODIN an old BOOTLOADER. i.m not sure if USB JIG work on ICS. u can give a try.enjoy.

@match_stick : now only thing is to get an USB JIG, and type on google : i9100 old bootloader, download and flash with odin.first, search on youtube: how to use USB JIG on i9100 . good luck
What you ask is simple and that is what you must have done....
Flash the official kernel back after cfroot, it removes the triangle.
But remember, the counter stays that's why people use jig, triangle away.
Thanks everyone. I think I must have flashed a secure kernel again at some point thats probably why I had No triangle. ...
But i was using Siyah for a while...no triangle.

If you had flashed Siyah with a method OTHER than Odin, then it would not show the triangle.
The triangle (and by extension, the count) only registers non-Samsung signed kernel flashes that are done via Odin. Sorry, I forgot to mention that before.
you can use a usb jig if you have access to it
Its better if u use triangle away....just make sure ur already using ICS rom...
cheers !

Just go to www.sammobile.com/firmware, register and download the rom you need and install with Odin. First reset the flashcounter before flashing and after you flashed the rom do a factory reset.

[Q] Some questions about TriangleAway.

So for some reasons, I decided to go back to stock ROM on my Galaxy S3 GT-I9300T, but the problem is I installed CyanogenMod using the CM Installer and it installed CM for I9300 onto my phone (which has the original model number of GT-I9300T). And as I decided to reset the flash counter, TriangleAway detected my device's model as GT-I9300 but not GT-I9300T. So I have 2 questions about this problem:
1_ Can I just flash the stock ROM like how I flashed CM Roms without resetting the flash counter? I'm not going on a warranty or anything but I just want to go back to stock ROM.
2_ If I continue to reset the flash counter even TriangleAway detected my phone's model as GT-I9300, is it ok? Will my phone be bricked?
Thank you anyone for replying!
Hough I can't say what will happen if u try to run triangle away, I can be pretty sure that flashing stock ROM without resetting the counter won't cause any harm other than the warranty
Sent from my GT-I9300
Firstly, u can flash the gt-i9300 firmware on the gt-i9300t phone. Ppl had success in doing so online. Also, flashing stock rom from sammobile will not trigger the flash counter so you have no worries on tat.
Thanks guys a lot!
Thank you guys, I will try to flash stock ROM without resetting the flash counter first
Oh and there's one more thing, if I flash a stock ROM then will Clockworkmod still working?
Stock firmware will replace your current recovery with stock.
