I can't get rid of it. I'm on unlimited data, yet it won't remove from my notifications. Any ideas please ?

I never get any data use notification by any native android app. Are you using any 3rd party app for monitoring data ?
If that is the case then go in the app's settings to disable it.
No, its the ICS built-in one. Tried everything...

Could of swore you can disable that built in data usage in ics or even raise the limit to whatever you want.
That's the job, I just realised how to increase the limit. Before I thought I could only raise the blue bar, but the orange one made it go away. Cheers

I hate how my screen turns on when I receive an sms message. I only need the notification icon in the taskbar and the led blink and if I disable the notifications from the settings the screen does not open but I loose the other notifications as well. Any ways to fix this?

Same question anyone?

Bump
interested in that too
Don't know if it's possible with the stock app, however if you're willing to use a 3rd party app, Go SMS does have an option to keep the screen off and quite possibly other apps do too.

switch to HANDCENT SMS, it is the best sms app, i am using it for a year now. Go to setting and disable pop-up. Now when you receive a message, it will vibrate, led will blink, but screen will not turn on. You will ses the message in the notification bar.

That's what I'm using right now but I want to minimize the use of third party apps as much as possible . Plus with handcent sms when I send a picture or video it doesn't work. I have to use the regular messaging app in order for my mms to leave successfully .

Still no solution for this one. I don't want to use handcent or go sms for two reasons. First I like the simplicity if the stock samsung app and second I use the direct call feature that only works with stock app. There must be a way to hack the default messaging app to stock opening the screen when receiving a message.

BUMP. This feature is sooooo annoying!!!!
It irritates me also. I've used Handcent on every device in the past, but I don't want to for some reason on this one. I actually rather like the stock messaging app.
I suppose I'll go back to Handcent. The screen on is annoying, plus it creates a temporary wakelock that drains the battery even more.

Is their such a thing as Invisible Mode in whatsapp? And can it be done per contact ?
By Invisible mode I mean that no one can see if I'm online and can't see the last time I was online.
**Hope this is the right place for this question
No, there isn't.
Ok, maybe their is an option to prevent from people to send me messages when the only sign for that will be the second green tick?
I can think of using droid wall to block internet traffic for that app if you are rooted

I don't want to block the app just specific people traffic...
Hallo citizens of xda.
It is getting annoying to be using whatsapp and having the phone vibrating for 2 minutes continuously. Is there any app that could limit the notification amount per minute?

how bout setting vibrate off.....?
I like having delivery reports, so no one can claim they didn't receive my text, but is there anyway to turn off the notification?

I was also wondering if there was any way to do this. Either separate sounds or some way to disable the delivery report notification.
