Data to SD - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Hi.
I have the problem that the 8 GB of the internal store are full.
The problem is that games and HTC Watch dont use the SD card for saving data. Is there a solution to save the data on the SD card and not on the Tablet store?
Sorry for bad english.

hello!
in order to put htc watch and apps onto the sd card, i believe rooting is necessary and you need to download from the play shop: apps2sd. either that, or connect to your pc as a disk drive and move and music and pictures and other stuff like that onto the sd card so you can fit your apps and watch stuff into the tablets storage fully. hope i helped!

Storage memory issues.

I recently brought an s2 without knowing about the 2gig internal mem and 11 gig usb storage which is a disappointing thing as most of the apps or games get installed on 2gig phone mem and cannot be moved. This makes the other 11gig useless except for storing other data. I also have 16gig external sd card which i purchased separately but it is also useless except that the cam pics location can be changed to it.
Is there anyway to resolve this and make sure that the apps or games get installed on either external sd card or the usbstorage..over a period of time i guess that the 2gig phone memory will be full and the phone becomes slow...can anyone pls suggest me..

Move your apps to the sd card. No other phones can help you. You purchased the best one imo.

I do move the apps to the SD card, But whats the use of the 11 gig internal usb storage memory? Assume that i don't have an SD card then how? Down the lane after i install the apps or games my phone or device memory(2Gig) on to which the apps get installed by default will be full and might run in to some issues? Isn't there anyway to make the apps get installed on to SD card or internal usb storage memory(11 Gig) while installing itself?
Internal storage = 2 gb = it`s the default install path for apps
Sdcard = 11 gb = it` s the internal built in "external" sd card. If You use app2sd that's the external sd card for android.
External_sdcard = 2nd external sd card (up to 32gb) = ONLY GOOD FOR MASS STORAGE (vids, pics, docs etc)
Thats it. You cant change this fact since android is not made to handle a 2nd ext sd as system drive......

There is a way to set the sd as default install. I read it somewhere. It is involves some programs and basic commands in windows. But save yourself the trouble and get app2sd App.

Hey troed,
Thanks for the brief explanation, even i know that the 2nd external SD cannot be used as the system drive, I store all my Docs, Pics, Vids and stuff on it....
But is there any way to make the apps installed on Sdcard = 11 gb = it` s the internal built in "external" sd card?
when we download the apps they by default gets installed on to Internal storage = 2 gb = it`s the default install path for apps.
Is there any way to make the sd card the default one for installation of apps?
Also we will not be able to move all apps to the external sdcard, only few of them give the option of moving them to sdcard even if we use apps2sd...
All i'm trying to figure out is that is there any way to leave the internal storage as it is and install or move the apps to sdcard or external sdcard because over a period of time i fear that the my phone internal 2gig memory might get full and i may run in to problems like phone hanging and out of memory issues for most of the operations....
Applications/games with large amount of data usually stores the majority of their data on the SD-card (the 11GB partition in SGS2), this includes e g Gameloft games, and navigation systems, so it is not easy to fill up 2GB even without use of apps2SD or similar solutions.
I have a lot of apps and games on my SGS2, and I have used 650MB so far, so it is still 2/3 left, if I reach 2GB then I really need to clean up anyway...
HTC desire had about 100MB left for apps, that was a huge problem, but on SGS2 with 20 times more space I don't think you should be too worried.

Force things to go to memory card

I have a 32 gig card in my RAZR and it is still saving all my pictures and all my music I download from my Amazon Cloud player to internal memory. This is really dumb when I have all the space on the card. So far I can’t figure out how to make it go to the 32 gig card... How do I do that?
Data on memory card
Yesterday I put in my razr xt910 new 16GB card. When inserted pop up screen was shown and asked me if I want to put my photos, music and videos on external sd card. Confirmed it and phone by it self move data to external sd card.
After that taken pictures are stored at sd card. To be honest for downloaded music and videos I don know because did not try.
I would try to unmount card, (settings, storage, unmount card) take it out from the phone and put it back. Watch the screen and confirm pop up window
I hope I helped you.
Regards from Serbia.
I don't know about Amazon MP3, but I know Google Music won't save to the external SD card. There is a setting in the camera app to choose internal or external storage.
The Droid X2 has a hack that will swap the mount locations of /sdcard and /sd-ext. If we show enough interest someone that knows what they're doing will probably do the same for the Razr. +1 from me.
Look in dev section..someone already posted a switcher to let phone use external as internal and vice versa...will solve this

Moving games & apps to SD Memory Card

Can it affect an app or game's performance if you move it to be on the SD Card instead of keeping it on your phone?
I would say yes but not sure because your internal memory is faster than an sd card storage. Atleast usually. You can buy sd cards that are rated faster than what you would normally get with your phone. Similar to this you can adjust your sd card cache.

Not sure about games as I don't play many games on my phone. However if you're using an app with a widget you should not move it to the SD card.
it depens on your sd card class. I installed about 97 apps+games on both internal and external memory, there's still plenty of room left on my internal memory. I have a class 10 sdcard, and apps are load pretty fast. if you want to move your apps/games anyway, I suggest you to use link2sd as it can "force" move your apps into your sdcard (Titanium backup does the same too).
I have used both Link2sd and App 2 sd and i can't move apps to the external sd card. Both of these programs recognize as an sd card the 8gb internal memory of the phone. Is there any way i can fix this??
ps: My phone is rooted.
The app 'gl to sd' should fix games to ur sd problem

[Q] SD card to phone

Is it possible to transfer apps and photos from SD card to phone (rooted), if so how is this done.
File manager should help you transferring photos.
But what you mean transferring apps from sd card to phone?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
There are a couple of apps I didn't back up with titanium, but they are my SD card. Just wondered if I could get them back on the phone without reinstalling from play store.
Not a major problem really, just curious.

[Q] Zinio:: moving magazines to SD card??

Hello guys,
First of all, I apologize for my poor English.
I own a Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet running Lollipop 5.02. This tablet has ability to move apps to the SD card with no problem at all.
So here is the thing: I currently using the app Zinio to collect and read my favorites magazines. I currently have around 100 issues stored in the internal card of the tablet and I would love to move them all to the external SD card.
Problem is that the app in itself is correctly moved to the SD card BUT all the app data (that is, all the downloaded magazines) remains in the internal memory.
Before the release of Lollipop, I emailed Zinio asking why the magazines could not be stored the SD card, just like the Spotify app does. They replied me that this the way the app works an there was nothing that could be done to make some room in the internal memory apart from deleting some magazines…
So, anyone here using the Zinio app found a way to store the magazines in the external SD card?? (I tried moving the whole magazine directory to the SD card, but as soon as I tried to open one issue, the app downloaded it again in the internal memory…
I realize that this is a limitation of the app and has nothing to do with Android in itself, because in the case of the Spotify, the app automatically downloads the music to the SD card…
Any ideas??
Thanks
Has anyone managed to bypass this stupid app limitation by rooting, and/or using apps like foldermount, or similar?
I too want to have lots of magazines stored on my external sd card, and not be limited by my tablet's internal storage capacity (16gb).
Hi grenness,
I have emailed Zinio at least 3 times regarding this issue and they always came back with the same bullsh**t: «there is no way to transfer the magazines to the sd card , if you want to make some room for new issues, you will have to delete some old ones»...
What a bunch of genius those Zinio folks...
I wonder why the Spotify app have no problems at all to store the downloaded music in the SD card and Zinio does not want to...
In the meantime, I cancelled all my subscriptions with Zinio.

So frustrating. I find I have to remove mags as soon as I've read them.
Same issue here. Zinio takes up all my space. Bought sd card for my galaxy tab to no need.
Has there been any movement on this issue? My Galaxy Tab S2 is critically low on storage because of the Zinio content and it has a half-empty SD card just begging to be used!
