Fix Tap tap revenge 4? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Right as you most likely know tap tap revenge 4 was abandoned on android, I for one would like a playable version. Is there anyone on xda who could mod the apk to work again or even port it from ios?
We all know there are plenty capable but can one do it?

Menu button in ICS

Maybe you guys can help me. We are developing an app but do not want the on-screen menu button to show in Android 4.0 (and probably 3.0) since it serves no purpose. How can we accomplish this?
I've seen apps that hide it such as airbnb and others.

I think I saw something like this on the official Android page - the ICS section.Scroll down until you go to "for devs" part.I'm not entirely sure but I'm on my phone and can't check now

multitask app

is there any good multitasking app? i like a swipe gesture (like zephyr from iphone) rather than long press home and also should have app killing capabilities, also what app are ok to kill from the running list?
Do not use a task killer.

+1 billion.
Download Nova launcher and then you can put an icon on your homescreen that let's you get into the multitasking menu with one press.
It will work with TW too.

ive read the description of nova launcher but couldnt find anythinga bout multi tasking. can you explain a bit more?
Not only nova you can have it in apex too, in fact you can simply bring the recent apps menu by making a swipe gesture on home screen
《tapatalked from galaxy s3》
I'm not sure if it works on the gs3, but I use an amazing app on my transformer prime called gesture control.
It basically allows you to define actions by using gestures.
You can define two, three, and four finger gestures.
It really is great. Needs root though.
So you can define a gesture for bringing up the multitasking menu and it works throughout the whole system anywhere.
You don't have to be on the launcher homescreen .

tried apex launcher but couldnt get it to work when im inside an app. ill try gesture control. anyone else have any suggestion for me
anyone can give me suggestion on a great gesture app that can open the recent app from anywhere?
Wave launcher is also cool multitasker. Quite different though.
Also looking for this, something like zephyr for IOS that works inside apps. It allows to close an app just sweeping from bottom to top.

i tried the app and it worked great. Can I ask what the risk of enabling usb debugging is? Im kinda paranoid of what it does, also can you suggest to me what good gesture is best to bring up the recent app list?
What does usb debugging do?
I don't understand why you don't just want to hold home? Plus when on this screen if you swype to left or right the preview is binned.
As for killing apps, Android runs on linux, linux manages ram very well and indeed runs better when you don't keep closing things all the time, it caches processes to save you time and battery when you next need them!
I use a app called "multitask shortcut" which is awesome and it only cost .50 dollars. It doesnt work inside apps though. I wish there was something like Zephyr for Android. It was awesome on the iPhone.

[Q] Is there a mod where i can get the recent app menu

I have a rooted galaxy s3 with custom rom but im just wandering the older version of android has that recent app menu in the notification menu which i liked, is there a way i can get it back ?
What do you mean?

Isn't that a HTC Sense thing?
I just hold the home button and use the task switcher..
This is an HTC thing. An old HTC thing.

I agree
Just like the galaxy nexus the on screen navigation keys.... Back home and recent apps button was great because on the galaxy S3 having to switch recent apps by pressing home button will wear and tear button and takes 2 seconds whereas on screen recent apps button was perfect
I know AOKP rom has this on screen keys mod but any add on that someone is developing or has developed for s3 with touchwiz framework would be winderful.... This new TW is beginning to grow on me

i think goluacher also has a recent and running apps in the menu.
Check out "Task Switcher" by gdroid on play store (com.gdroid.fastfive).
Personally I didn't like it, as the curtain doesn't close automatically. But it seems to work fine.
Maybe a developer can bake it back in once some roms start flowing. But nothing I've seen. Let us know!

Good job posting what the guy on top of you posted. How helpful.
There is a new app on the market called Multitask Shortcut, it's not free (only £0.50 though) and I have not tried it but it does seem to do what you are after (check out the video he has on the app page)...

Sure, I know it, but on android you don't need it and what's more many advise against these type of applications.

I found a solution for zephyr on android. I use a custom Launcher
Sent from my GT-I8160 using xda app-developers app
i'm also looking for Zephyr, and i'm disappointed with some of the worst uninformed answer's i've seen in ages.
First, launcher gestures that only exist in a launcher (IE, don't work in a game or another app) are pretty much pointless.
Second, GMD Root Gestures doesn't complete the gesture action until you've completed the gesture, which is not at all how zephyr works. (it works during the gesture, which give is a 100% different feel.
As for not "needing it" These old school nokia style gestures are IMO, the most efficient way of getting around phones, and just because it's an iOS tweak, it doesn't mean it's not awesome.
