App to rip movies onto memory card? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

is there an app that i can rip a movie/video off the 'net and put it on my Gnote's mem card for future viewing?
Firefox has an add-on on my PC where i can download any vid that is playing on my browser, wondering if the same is possible for my Gnote

I use avs video converter. You have to pay for it but you have access to all their other apps such as audio converter.

to be more specific, is there an app that can rip a video i am watching on my Gnote (rip it from a streaming movie service for instance?)

The only one that I am aware of is TubeMate. But it only works with YouTube. I use it all the time to copy YouTube vids to my SD card. I'm not aware of any apps that will allow ripping vids from the browser though.

well that's a start, thanx tmc!
now i can install some cool youtube movies, maybe this one if it is legal to do so:

i find no app called TubeMate in the app store :-\
EDIT** ahh found the amazon appstore and installed that to, lotta new stuff to look at!

VBrowser will detect and download videos from flash plugins on a lot of sites.

Best media player?

Hello
Im looking for a media player that can reproduce all possible formats (mostly videos). Something like VLC for Android would be nice.
Anything out there?
Rockplayer is awsome, but it's only for videos, and it's not free either, but worth the $, so far it played any video I threw at it. Videos over 2GB tend to play a bit slow though.
Vplayer alpha is your best bet. It is free and it supports all fortmas.

Also option is to get xiisoft (take regard of name typo) video converter who got a lot of profiles to optimise playing from multiple different devices and such, one of those profiles includes lot of android devices.
To just span the options here.

I see it is free but just has ads at the bottom (of the program I assume; Not during playback)
Thats alright.
can we get a new thread on this? i would liek to know what to use
i think MX player is the best one or else you can go for paid player they will give more formats and mx player is best for watching videos and also you can add custom subtitle and there is an option like video play back hahaha it is very interesting while lock the phone and listing audio without video.

[Q] Playing movies from Amaze to PS3

How do I play movies, without the MHL adapter, from my Amaze to my ps3? Thanks in advance! I tried using the "Connected Media" app that came with the phone but it scans and never finds my PS3.
You have to have the videos in .MP4 format. Make a folder on your memory card or internal storage. Call it PS3. Within the PS3 Folder, make another folder called Videos. Put the videos in there.
so it'll be like
Memory card/Internal Storage -> PS3 -> Videos
Use the imediashare app thru wifi works great for YouTube and videos on your phone and format doesn't matter most videos play. The only thing I can't figure out is how to play the market movies or rentals I really want to figure out a way because the prices are less for rentals then ps3 store or the Xbox live store.

How to play avi? With hdmi to tv?

So friend. Of mine has the Droid x2 and was going to put some avi files on the SD card and get the hdmi cable to tv and play the video. Can I use es file explore or w. E file manager and put the avi files in a folder and play from that. Then would I get a media player that can play the avi file that would play on the phone but it will be on the tv
I'm sure this has been posted I looked around and found some older site and. Other forums about it but it talks about converting or using handbreak, or some other program.
So I found the media player called mobo player. So I'm guessing I can add the avi to SD card hook up the phone to the tv play from the mobo player then they should be able to watch it on the tv

I've never used the hdmi from my phone, use my laptop for that. But as i understand its an hdmi mirror, so whatever you're doing on the phone will be mirrored on the TV no matter what app you are using.
As for mobo...I do use that app and it works well on the x2 and is pretty good with many formats and will do full screen where other players may not be able to.

Yes you can use mobo and mirror to your TV via HDMI. It works fairly well just don't expect great quality unless its a very high quality avi.

Thanks for the replies. Ok cool I dont have this phone so Im not a 100% sure of how that really works.. I was googling on what I was trying to do.
So,sounds like a plan to me.But with mobo player all I should do is just add avi files to sd card and open mobo and mirror to tv. Whats consider a HQ avi?

Pics & Videos on TV

Hi all, Im able to wirelessly show my photos from my phone to my Sony Bravia tv, but it wont play my MP4 videos. The funny thing is, if I put my MP4 videos to a flash drive and plug the flash drive to the tv, it will play them. Is there another app that would stream my videos to the television?
What app are you using now? There are tons of apps in the market for this, iMediaShare is one of them.

YouTube VEVO in germany

I'm experiencing some strange but welcomed behavior of my nexus 10's YouTube app. I'm living in Germany so theoretically I shouldn't be able to watch official music videos on YouTube. at first I tried to search the videos via Google now and open the playing request via YouTube and it worked for some songs. but now I'm able to watch ANY music videos by vevo in the YouTube app. I can just search them via the app and it starts playing. now I want to flash the latest cm10 but I really want to preserve this YouTube/ music state...any advice what I could do to transfer this to the new ROM. I tried to backup the youtube app via titanium and transfer it to my galaxys and play the videos there but I'm not able to watch them on the galaxy s due to the copyrights. so the "mess up" has to be placed elsewhere. any ideas? if we can figure this out I can share these files/or whatever is needed to you guys
best regards dadebue
EDIT: no proxy app or something like that installed...the videos load as quick as my internet provider allows it

dude well i am living in germany too at the moment. And well this is kind of a gap hole from vevo haha well if you search for the vevo app directly in the play store, you will not find it. But i did this with several jelly bean roms, and it always worked for me on any device. Just go to google search and search for "vevo android app" and it will show you the app with a little button next to it saying "free". Tap on that button and it will ask you to open the play store and guide you to the app. And i also says download there and it all works fine :highfive:
I think it has more to do with restrictions people put on your videos as opposed to your tablet.
