Normal vibration when receiving a cal - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

When I receive a call and my phone is set to vibrate, it vibrates a short one, and the rest are long. Is this normal for the sgs2? I never noticed it before I updated ota.

I think there are some apps that can customize the vibration pattern

So what is the normal vibration ring? Was it changed in update 2.3.6?

No. can I add option like mute the ringer while call is coming. Instead of reject with sms I want option like silent ring .

You can always choose "none" for ringtone. Otherwise I don't believe that option exists yet. You can also disable the vibration too.
Hit the power button while call is coming in, silences the ring.
Us it's working thanks

Vibration in call

I'm using the foxhound Rom, and the phone vibrates when I get a message whilst on a call.
I don't think the Rom has anything to do with it. Can this be changed without completely switching off the vibration so it still vibrates outside a call?

[Q] Custom Vibrate Pattern?

Is there any way to customize the vibrate patterns on LGOG? I checked in settings but I don't think I see such options.
I just hate the default long vibration.
Settings, sound, vibrate type.

Wow, so this mean that the Sprint version of LGOG has this option but the ATT one doesn't? That sucks..
I never would have guessed software would be different between the two. Oh well I still love my new phone

I use the "SMS Popup" app which allows you to do custom vibrations for receiving texts. You can specify the milliseconds for vibration on/off. Mine is "0,200,100,200,100,200,100,200" for 4 quick vibrations.

Does it allow you to use the default SMS app? I really like the stock one on here

Yep. It just replaces the default SMS notifications.

Kind of reviving an old thread here, but I've only had my phone a couple weeks...
I wanted mine to vibrate longer so I tried SMS popup after reading this thread. The vibe pattern stuff worked ok but I found a few downsides (didn't seem to be able to activate the notification LED, seemed to deactivate the lock screen sms icon 'new messages' indicator) and our phones' built-in sms popups seemed a little more useful (but uglier) to me, so I stopped using it.
Today I stumbled on "AutomateIt" which can trigger events on incoming SMS, and one of the actions is vibrate of a custom length (not patterns). That seems to work pretty well for me and I can probably make use of some of its other features as well.
