I can't for the life of me get network access on CDMA with Jokers CM9 4.5.1
I've wiped, flashed, wiped, flashed, rinse repeat. I tried the CDMA fix with no luck.
Everything works fine on MIUI and stock ROMS.
I've also done *#*#INFO#*#* and everything is set the way it should be.
Any thoughts?
Edit: also tried flashing with both CWM recovery and TWRP, same results. ROM flashes, boots, and everything seems to work, just no mobile network.
Try flashing it over a previous beta that had working data?
Have you tried modifying the build.prop?

I had this issue, one workaround i got was to flash 0.3.1 version of CM-9 Rom, this made me to get my CDMA working. after this flash the latest CM-9. Try it out.
Yes, CDMA is working on new build.

I flashed the latest build and had the same problem, no cdma, I also tried reflashing twice, flashing over the .3.1 version, two different kernels, flashed over a modded 2.3.5, nothing worked. Would love to use this rom, but I'd think it would be a one step flash after this many revisions and not a pile of workarounds after flashing
wipe everything. install 0.3.1. boot up. reboot recovery. install newest without wiping anything. should fix network issues.
I was just on 2.3.5 deblur'd, and followed the instructions on this post to the T:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27300185&postcount=9204
Only exception being I flashed olegs kernel after the bill full wipe, and I flashed the latest build. Working now.

I unlocked the bootloader and rooted it okay... then I flashed a ROM, that also worked fine. I tried to flash a kernel and now it just gets stuck on the HTC screen. I tried restoring my back up, still the same issue. Tried reflashing the ROM, same issue. Not sure how to get it back to normal at this point.
It sounds like the kernel you flashed is either a 2.3.3 kernel that doesn't work on 2.3.4, or it was a bad flash. You should be able to fix this by holding volume down when booting up (opens HBOOT) then choose Recovery and from the recovery you can then either enable USB Mass Storage device and transfer a stock kernel over USB to your SD card then flash the stock kernel, or if you already have a stock kernel on your SD card, you can just select it from the install from zip menu and flash.
This Kernel should work fine (it's stock with CIQ spyware removed):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1224659
and after I flash this kernel it should be back to normal.... or should I try to flash a ROM all over again as well? As long as it can definitely be fixed then that's quite alright.... this phone compared to the Epic (which I came from) seems like it's much less fail safe to me.

ROMs usually have kernels. You could just wipe Dalvick cache and cache and flash your original rom (which has it's original kernel). and that should work.
There's a sea of roms. You could try posting on a rom's thread whether a particular kernel is compatible. Just follow the spin of things. Saves from just going round in circles.

Here's a scenario: If you installed a rooted stock 2.3.4 rom then decided to install Silverneedle kernel, your phone will get stuck in this boot-loop because the silverneedle kernel is not compatible with 2.3.4 yet. So by flashing a stock kernel over what is already on there, it should fix the problem. Before you flash the stock kernel clear cache and dalvik. After that flash the kernel and reboot the phone. Chances are it will boot normally. I doubt you will have to reflash a ROM to fix this.
Just cleared the dalvik and the cache, reflashed the ROM hoping to start completely fresh and its still getting stuck...

Then flash a stock kernel. I have had the same problem before. I flashed a ROM, installed a kernel and stuck at HTC boot screen. The fix is to either install a stock kernel through bootloader or flash another ROM in recovery. If you want the best chance of it working the first time, then flash the stock rooted 2.3.4 ROM by xhausx. If you want to try other ROMs and kernels, make sure that your ROM and kernel are compatible. Also use the synergy wipe zip file before flashing to make sure everything is formatted properly. Also, did you flash the extra firmwares that came with the 2.3.4 update? If not, make sure you flash those along with the new radio that just came out.

Perhaps I should've also mentioned that my bootloader still says S-ON and I unlocked it using the HTC unlock method.

Not sure about any extra firmwares actually.... currently going to try flashing xhaus' ROM and hope that works...
Flashed the superwipe before flashing the ROM, then flashed the ROM... it went to the HTC screen for a second then just vibrated and then turned black.
When I go into the bootloader when it is loading up the images.... it kept saying "No Image!" for all of them. I'm not having any luck with this at all.

The link posted is for the GSM Evo 3D... will it work on CDMA?
So I flashed CM9 alpha 13(after wiping) but can't get service to activate on my phone. Same problem I'm having with alpha 9. I use the activate button when it starts and it tells me it failed. Under "About Phone" and "Status" I can see that the My Phone Number setting is wrong so is the MIN.
When I call my carrier to manually activate, the short codes they give me to manually input this info do not work.
Anybody else had this problem?

I had this problem as well. I've also bricked my phone flashing an electrify pudding by mistake on my photon. My fix after fixing my boot loader issues was: I reverted to completely stock. Then I called sprint and had to reactivate my phone. After getting everything working and having a secure connection for over a day I then flashed cm7 to make sure that would work. After it did I did a says wipe and wiped everything else. And flashed cm9 then went into recovery wiped and flashed again. Then I flashed gapps and boot up. After booting up I went back and wiped again. And then used the phone for about twenty minutes and wiped and flashed "all" again. It was a long drawn out process. But I have had none of the issues that people are having on the forum. Battery life is great after calibrating. 3G is almost as fast as the 4G I had. Never have a single reboot or battery pull. Wifi and Bluetooth bead on perfect. I'm new to xda but not development. I'd post my success in the forum, but I'm not yet at ten post.

I tried reverting to stock as outlined by qbking77 but every time I sbf'ed the file as instructed I lost my recovery. The 'Unlocked' notice disappeared as it was supposed to but once I did that I couldn't get any recoveries to stick, stock or CWM, until I "re-unlocked" the phone with that sbf. Even then I couldn't get the stock recovery to write properly.
I'm pretty new to all of this. I unlocked my Optimus S and tried a few ROMs on it before I settled on Reborn Rom, but that's about my only experience with these things. I'm not incompetent(I hope) when it comes to this stuff, but it's definitely a learning curve. I'd like to master the whole process though so I can delve into the dev side of things a bit.

A combination of what you and FanBoy suggested. First I wiped and flashed Rocko ROM. Got the phone to activate. Then I wiped. Flashed CM9. Wiped again. Booted up and verified service was active. Wiped again, Flashed CM9 again, wiped again, and flashed gapps v3.
I really don't know what the problem was to start. I originally tried to flash CM7 and couldn't get signal at all. So I flashed MIUI with the same issue. Finally I flashed CM9 and had signal but couldn't activate. So the problem wasn't tied to CM9, but I honestly have no idea what I did to lose signal/activation or to gain either of those back, but my phone does work now and I've successfully flashed both CM9 and Rocko without the loss of signal or service and have nand backups of both since my biggest problem originally stemmed from not having a nand backup of my latest working set up.
I think I hear the ice cream man!

Most custom roms disallow communication from what ever it is that allows you to activate with sprint. I noticed that porting in sprintzone.apk often doesn't work and you can't activate with the dialer because it requires communication with sprintzone. So you need to flash to a rom that allows activation and then work your way back up. Glad to hear you got it working.
Okay I have been trying to get a CM9 rom to boot on my Atrix for about a week now. I am coming from Nottachtrix 1.3.1 on radio 37p with faux GB24 kernel. My bootloader is unlocked and I perform all necessary wipes before install. The furthest I have gotten any of the CM9 roms to boot is the screen that states Android Apps(or something) updateing. It then states starting system and boots back to the booting logo. I have tried fastboot -w. Formating data, cache, system, osh, pre install in mounts storage menu, and clearing both caches before and after install and I get the same results. This only happens with CM9 roms. I cannot get the CNA, Jokers, Turls, or Atrix tablet past the screen stated. I have tried with the latest rom racer from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500 and both recovery and touch recovery from rom manager and I get the same results. I have posted my issue in the dev section, but decided this was better as I did not want to clutter up the dev forum with my problems. Could it just be my Atrix or would the 37p radio have something to do with the bootlooping issue. Any help would be very much appreciated.
For some odd reason I decided to pull my external SD card before boot, and freaking BOOM BANG POW NO BOOTLOOP!

Did you flash twice ?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
I believe the problem is with the radio, I had this issue (on stock radio), then I upgraded to the newest CM9 Kang (0.4.4) and it went away. I then flashed the 37p radio in an attempt to fix a problem I've been having with my WiFi and bluetooth (they both don't work and cause reboots, I assume now it's a hardware problem) and the boot loop came back. I'm gonna try flashing some other radios to see if that works.
Yes flashed twice to no avail. Gonna try the 36p radio and stock to see if that fixes my issue.

Trust me, the CM9 kang (not turl's version, haven't tried that) didn't work unless you flashed it twice up to version 0.4.2 (I skipped 0.4.3 and installed 0.4.4 straight without wiping and only flashed once and it worked, so it's possible they fixed the bug). I don't think anyone knows why, but it's been confirmed many times.

[EDIT] Not sure but I believe the problem I had with m external sd is I still had an ext4 primary partition on it from when I was using Webtop2SD. Copying everything over to pc now and reformating external to see if my assumption is correct.
Looks like the ext4 partition on as was the culprit.

After updating radios, may need to have stock recovery installed and do a factory reset in hboot, then reflash recovery, rom, & kernel.

+1 you probably NEED to do this.. I know I always do..
In superchilpil's firmware thread he does say to wipe and reinstall or you'll have 4g problems.

"YOU MUST FACTORY RESET IN THE BOOTLOADER TO FIX DATA ISSUES"
Actually it was Snuzzo who informed me that I need to do that after not reading all the words on the flashing instructions. You know figured I would just skip that part well thats fine if you want your data dropping in and out, no 4G and just general ****tyness..
I did a wipe/factory reset in bootloader, and then restored a CWM Backup of Nils' ROM.
When that didn't work, I did it again and wiped everything and started over with a fresh install... No joy.

You have to have the stock recovery in order to factory reset in the bootloader. If you have a custom recovery such as cwm or ra it won't do the reset needed for the radio to work correctly.
Flash stock recovery
Factory reset
Boot to make sure radios work right
Fastboot install custom recovery
Restore backup

Are you s-on or s-off? Also, have you tried flashing a different ROM?

I am s-off and I have flashed other roms with out issue. I am currently installing it via boot manager pro to see if makes any difference. I wasn't using any boot manager before.
Thank you for replying also.

Hmm. 3g has been working fine for me on that ROM all week. It works on other ROMs which eliminates hardware or Sprint issues and being s-off eliminates kernel flashing issues. Strange.

When I realized that data wasn't working I nandroided it and went back to my previous backup. Instead of doing a clean install in boot manager I just restored my nandroid of 3.5.2 and just booted it and 3g is working. I also forgot to mention that in my original attempt I am using the "Dirt-MOD-MAC Kernel v3.0" which is also part of my nandroid. I don't get it, why would it work in boot manager but not as a phone rom? hmmm...maybe i'll have to try it again as a phone rom again and see what happens.
The only thing that I can think of is that when I switched back to my original rom I did a prl and profile update.
