whaat is this??? is this for the VERIZON Fascinate??
Might be another generic showcase build. I wouldn't suggest flashing to a fascinate until more info is found due to chances of loosing mobile data.

Why is there not more info on this?

If you check out op's profile and the posts he makes you'll see he is leaking Samsung firmware all over these forums. Pretty sweet just wish he would give more info on this build tho like carrier and variant.

I will risk to get this. Chances of loosing data for verizon users, but for non verizon his old version work flawlessly.
Even it determines your country code and as per that you will display currency in market.

How's it compare to fc19? I'm not on Verizon also. Was thinking about giving it a go if it's worth it.

well all i can say is that this modem should be extracted as its giving great data speed
tricked it and now using it with the modem and kernel of this ROM
I agree with lord dredd, This rom is fast too. asphalt 5, barcode scanner as an addon. different lockscreen.
overall a great rom.
Any problems with losing data or it dropping in and out? That was a problem with FC19.

i didnt see nything like that , but still
wont recommend you to flash !!
i donno i have never lost data ever while flashing anything on the fassy while all the rest following similar process lost it !! i guess its way too sturdy than others
my suggestion would be to get someone to extract the modem and flash it
its zippy and totally kicked the data over the board
I extracted the modem out of it and mms and browser seems to be a little faster on my showcase
Against my better judgement I extracted modem and odin on my Verizon Fasinate. Of course I was dead in the water with data. Had to activate an old phone and then reactivate my fasinate to get data back. I knew better.
Just wondering, has anyone tried removing the modem since it breaks data and flashing the rest on the Fascinate? I'm curious to see how well it works.

It's missing some stuff. flash a full Odin, immediately go back into download without powering on the phone, then flash this.

It seems to be for the i500 in general, such as the Mesmerize and Showcase. We've utilized their leaks before.

As a matter of fact, all of these EH09 ROMs came from the source for Mesmerize firmware. Doesn't have to be VZW specific, i500 hardware is all the same in CDMA land.

obviously not if there are 3 roms in the dev section built off of the eh09 mezmerize leak.

afaik, only padding needs to be added to the framework for sms to work on VZW. that's pretty much it.
Seems that most of the fixes are data/wifi related which is very welcomed with my experiences with EH09

Most likely /system/lib/hw/gps.s5pc110.so (that's what it's called in EH09, not sure about EI20) which needs to to be renamed to gps.aries.so if being used with and mtd rom, and /system/vendor/bin/gpsd. Plus, it would probably be a smart idea to grab /system/etc/gps.conf as well.

Just to save others the trouble if they are feeling brave...
Dont flash the modem cause I verified it does not connect for 3g data.
I was just bored and thought ide try it, too bad. But i bet they will find some useful stuff in that factory file system!
Edit:Im on Verizon BTW
ANOTHER EDIT: Had to call verizon cause *228 wouldnt work after flashing ec09 modem back. They cleared out my CORRUPTED EFS data and replaced it with correct info. But its back working. So thats just another reason not to flash this modem on your phone.. Like I said, just saving other people the trouble.

Use ODIN to remove your EFS data, then go on the Verizon website and remove your MEID from your account. Or *228 another Verizon phone to your account then *228 your Fascinate back.
I am using ICS build 6 by teamhacksung, and my data counter doesn't work. It always says I haven't used any data.
I've had to use 3rd party apps like 3G Watchdog. But that doesn't tell you which apps use how much data, and can't block apps from mobile data..
anyone else having this problem?

"my Verizon". is the only app that i know of that gives server side data usage. Anything else is inaccurate. As for which apps. Idk
Sent from my SCH-I500 using xda premium
Yeah user my Verizon for accurate data usage, and then maybe a different data monitor from the app store to block different apps from using data.
If you need a my Verizon apk let me know I can upload mine
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
cant you still dial #data and verizon will text you your data usage?
If you really need accurate data usage info, then use the verizon app or look at your usage online. That said, my data counter works fine with glitch v14, I don't remember it working with the stock kernel.

well I'm on a per-MB data plan and am NOT a verizon subscriber [MVNO PagePlus Cellular]. So the verizon app won't work.. But the problem isn't that I don't have a data counter, I have 3G Watchdog. The problem is the stock data app isn't working.
And I want to be able to block FB from auto-updating on 3G, it sometimes uses up to 1/2 MB after I enable 3g [that is 10c, because I am paying 20c/MB]
So is this the glitch v14 kernel I can flash to teamhacksung's build 6 [not 6.1] ICS?

I experienced the same thing on THS Build 6 with stock kernel. The range of date cannot even be correctly set. It always shows March 8 to March 16, and 0 data is counted. Interestingly the wifi counter seems working, but I doubt its accuracy.
I'm using THS 6.1 with the Glitch kernel. My data counter works fine, and pretty much matches what "My Verizon" is showing.
If you want the Glitch kernel, it is in Droidstyles thread , in Section-8

edit: I've flashed the glitch kernel, and it did not seem to fix the data.. weird. :\
This is a fix for google wallet to let you login and has been confirmed it will let you buy things after doing it. I am making a new thread so it doesnt get buried in the Google wallet stuck at initializing your device thread. Be sure to thank jkt97401 for finding it and DZLRULZ for doing it and confirming he could buy things again in the thread posted below. I also did it to confirm it works to allow login again.
THIS WILL NOT FIX SECURE ELEMENT BRICKS!
EDIT: this fix has been blocked from my understanding in order to continue to use wallet you have to leave the change and not revert back to the original build prop however you are welcome to try out reverting it.

I found a workarround, this worked for me and hope it helps others!
Go into build.prop and change these values:
ro.product.model=
ro.product.device=
to both equal this: GT-I9300
This makes your phone look like the Sprint galaxy nexus.
Reboot your phone and try to open wallet!
You may have to clear google wallet settings, I had to uninstall wallet and reinstall it after the build.prop change.
Hit the thanks button if this helped!
-------------- PS --------------
The reason I tried this is because I heard Google temporarily blocked the HTC EVO 4G LTE from accessing Google Wallet. I don't know the exact reason why, but this seems to work at least for now.

DUDES! It totally worked. I will be trying a transaction in a few minutes and reporting back. I was sick over this, worried about secure element. I got stuck at 99% resetting the app and eventually had to reboot.
I did what you suggested and it activated, and my $100.21 was still in the prepaid card no problem. Here's EXACTLY what I did to keep out of the unsupported device also:
EDIT: REQUIRES ROOT ACCESS (but not HTC UNLOCK, which I do not have)
-Enable SuperSU
-Use ES File Explorer for root explorer (Settings->Root Explorer, give Superuser permission when asked) -> Mount File System (writable)
-Edit build.prop in /system folder as described above (make a backup also so you can revert after activation!)
-Disable root explorer in ES File Explorer
-Disable SuperSU in SuperSU settings
-Clear data for Wallet in Settings->Apps
-Reboot
-Open Wallet, log in
-Add prepaid card
-Close Wallet
-Go to Android Settings->Apps->Downloaded->Wallet and force stop (hoping to keep it from knowing about the next step which is enable SuperSU to revert build.prop and keep away unsupported device message.)
-Enable SuperSU
-ES File Explorer -> Root Explorer -> Mount System
-In /system folder replace build.prop with the backup I made (or just undo the changes manually if you like.)
-Disable Root Explorer
-Disable SuperSU
-Reboot
-Open Wallet and verify operation
-Profit!
Sorry if this is jumbled, have to get to work but excited that it is fixed and hopefully by reverting build.prop no strange behavior will result!
Thanks again jkt97401!

Not really unsupported will be there ifyou grant access or not, it will still work tho that's a diferent thing, any developers thing this will mess up and try to changed device to evo? Like for example if Google wallet will recognize the build.prop was changed? I mean there is a reason why they blocked the evo

Also I was some what scared to do this too but I'm not going to wait forever for them to fix this problem. Since it could take as long of a wait as we may need a OTA. As long as you do what's posted it will work if you do something diff well ymmv... The secure element may be somewhat fickle however I feel ours is not as fickle as the other devices. As I have seen people say they didn't clear it ran ruu and rooted and it still worked...

Negative. After bricking my last evo 4g lte's nfc, i'm being very cautious with anything pertaining to this.
I did call google wallet shortly after posting and they confirmed that it's still not fixed for the evo lte. While this work around may work, it's troubling that google doesn't officially whitelist the device again. There has to be a reason for this. I prefer to wait until it's cleared through official channels.

I called ATT and after a long conversation the rep. told me that my phone kept trying to connect to the wrong tower... she tried resetting, twice. Still no look, she suggested going to one of their repair centers but meh.
Since my phone is running cm9, I figured that the modem changed from the one the phone was shipped with or something and something might of have happened on ATT's end that made of broken it out of no where. I figured I should start by changing modems but the map that used to be around here has disappeared apparently. I don't know if that would be the issue to begin with
Any suggestions on how I may go about fixing it?

Thanks a lot
I was on the newest modem and had many problems as well. Had to revert back to UCLE5 and haven't had anymore problems. Look in the stickies of the development thread and u will find a whole $hit-pot load of modems to flash.....surely one will fix u up!

Yeah I found the threads with modems, but before going willy nilly flashing modems I wanted to know for sure that it was a modem issue and possibly, a way to find the best one for my location (Oceanside, NY). I might be asking for too much though
U just have to try and see what works for u....there may be a way to see what's best for a certain area but I've never seen it. I'm in Myrtle Beach SC and UCLE5 is best for me ATM.

My Verizon Galaxy Note II GPS will not lock in on my position or track with me when I move. I first noticed it when I was using JediX14 so I tried JediX17 which also didn't fix it. I am no on CleanROM ACE 5.0.0 and still my GPS does not work. I tried the TopNTP 1.0.0 app to make a new gps.conf but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize if I missed a thread that already has a resolution to this issue.

I am on Jedix17 right now and having the same issue. I remember I had a really old version of jedi x before this and the gps worked to some extent. I know it's an issue with the rom because my phone is literally brand new through insurance. So yeah I would like to get an answer as well
First, this is posted in the wrong section. Second, I swear I read this same question every day. Please read a little before just saying my GPS doesn't work.
Flash beans rom. Load it up and get a GPS lock, then boot directly to recovery, flash whatever rom you want.
EDIT: Third, don't post the same question twice, especially within 15 mins of the first post.

Try using the cleanrom meant for VZW, the ace version is known to have gps issues. Also I've read beans and jedi users having trouble with gps locking as well, although some managed to get it working with a "fix". I haven't tried beans and jedi because cleanrom VZW works I wish I could remember what you need to do to get gps working.
Also, for the most part, GPS doesn't work on International ROMs after the latest update. This issue is widely known and has been brought up a lot in that ROMs thread.

Beans is built from the VZW ota. I've never had issues and haven't heard of anyone having issues with GPS on beans. Although you are correct that jedi is known for GPS lock issues.

Thanks for all the help guys I really appreciate it! I ended up flashing beans and I have no GPS issues. Now I keep getting a notification letting me know version v. 0.2.0 is available but when I click to download it says "There was an error in the file downloaded". Have you ever had this problem with beans internal upgrade?

Ive tried about every fix known, that i know, to get a gps lock on Jedi. That and Clean ROM are the only two ive ever had trouble with. Terrific ROMs, but i gotta have gps working. If anyone finds a universal fix i would love to know it.

All you have to do, or at least all I have ever had to do, is get a working lock on any rom (I go back to stock), then flash the problem rom. Even with system and cache wipes, it hasn't failed me yet.
