I like "DroidExporer" (http://de.codeplex.com/)
You can view/edit everything, but when you want change system files, you have mount system rw first!
I need app to access internal memori with usb data transfer.

Like I said before, DroidExplorer works good!!!
You can browse the internal memory with it (no terminal, there's a graphical UI)! But to change system-files, first mount system rw.
You asked the same question as before...

Has anyone tried this app for Data2SD?
I stumbled upon this app while taking a stroll in the Market. And wanted to share it with y'all.
And, NO, I am not the dev of the app.
☞ The Dev is WindowsNT. ★
I would've tried it myself, but I already have Data2SD on my phone. It might help those who need Data2SD.

I 'm the dev.
I 'd be happy to answer any questions. The app simply creates and formats a storage in the SD, then links data from apps to that partition.

Does it do all this automatically.. I mean is there any special script or kernel required..?

1. You first use the "storage" menu to create a storage file (default 500MB) to be used as a partition. This partition is then automatically formatted to ext2 and mounted on the device startup.
2. From the "apps" menu you select an application and you have a list of the movable files.
3. You move/restore the files you wish.
Of course, don't do it for applications that start on boot, because the storage won't be mounted until the sd card is visible.

Is this only for 2.2 or can it be used for 2.1?
It can be used with 2.1 as it doesn't move the app itself (as the 2.2 system does), it moves the internal data in /data/data/<package>.
(requires root).
Glad to see the Dev himself here.
Hope many people benefit from this App.

Hell mate. I tried this with 500mb.
It stuck at 25mb which is like 5%
Then i formatted my sd card and tried with 50mb and again it stuck at 25mb.
Why is this problem occuring ? Also i have a 16gb sdhc which is class2
Hm, perhaps a problem with your SD card ?
Try this from shell:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/sdcard/rallsd/storage bs=1024 count=102400 (for 100MB).
this is similar to the command used by my app. If it also stucks, then it seems that there's an error with your SD card (chkdsk ?)
If it works, notify me and I 'll take a look.

This dint work too
Then, a storage card issue.
Perhaps a chkdsk would help.

I got the same issue also, thought it would be nice if the app was more transparent

Heh, reply to self, but I managed to work around the initial problem by simply deleting off the storage file, and creating a smaller (128mb) one
hi, i have 2 questions before ill give it a try.
is the app able to allocate free space from the sd card to create the partition
or do i have to wipe the sd completely before ?
will the app interfere in any way with already installed and normal moved apps ?
thanx in advanced, stavro
Doesn't work on my Archos 7ob eReader (Eclair 2.1). Once the second part created by Root All to SD, it doesn't recognize its job ! Worse, Windows can't at all read the SD Card.

in the meantime i am using link2sd on my rooted stock rom.
works perfect. i just had to create a second partition on my sd card
(no need to wipe the sd) and start the application. no "not enough memory" problems anymore

Three questions
I have three questions:
1) How can I reduce size of allocated memory space (I have mount 2 GB but now I see that is to much for my needs)
2) What happens with files that are on mounted partition if I uninstall Root all to SD app? How can I move it back to the original place?
Thanks in advance!
I loaded a CW7 rom and was paying with it... not sure if i clicked a setting or what but now i cant write to the internal storage card.... (not external) can someone help?
i can delete data off just not write....
Be careful what you're doing. It can be easy to forget what is internal and what is external with cyanogenmod.
With that in mind a program like root explorer allows you to mount folders from read only to read and write.

Put no system app's in you SD card using App2SD, before create a ext4 partition in your sd card and opem App2SD. After configure and move you apps to sd card except system apps (SMS.apk .... ... .. .) and apps with widget in you desktop.
try clearing dalvik cache, gave me like 7MB of memory, better than nothing
You can try to force move apps with titanium backup too
there is a way on galaxy mini forum
You could try first changing the default place to save the apps (you don't need to be root, but you need the sdk installed on your pc).
You need to open adb (Android\Android-SDK\Platform-tools) from sdk and type this command (this works only for gingerbread):
adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2.
This will set the default location to the SD card. I used it, but you should keep widgets and other apps in the phone (facebook has some problems in the SD) so the load fast when the phone starts
Have you done the following?
open the app called a2sdgi select "move and rebuild" after checking "dalvik cache in sd-ext" (it will automatically reboot once you press move and rebuild
delete apps in data/local in your internal memory using root explorer

I hope I've helped

You have to download link2sd and go to settings and set install location to external. It works just like adb shell

Download and install titanium backup pro from anywhere you like. Open the program and click on the options button of your phone and click on batch. You'll see a number of operations followed by a run button after each one. Scroll down and you'll see "move all user apps to SD card", click on run and you are done

Without partitioning the SD card, you will always have part of the apps on internal. With partitioning the SD card, you can move the entire apps to SD card.
I just went to gplay (marketplace) and got app2sd. Whether the phone is rooted or not you should be able to move the apps to the sdcard-ext, as long as there is enough room.

Yeah it helps in moving some apps to sd but it doesnt allows you to move all the app to sd. you may need to root you phone in order to move all apps to sd. when i used to use app2sd when i just started using android i used to have around 40 mb internal memory free inspite of moving all the apps that were possible to move on an unrooted phone to sd. I was then inspired to root my phone when i saw its possibilities

How can i make an ext part on my SDcard ???
I am using link2sd and it works like a charm. I have not partitioned my sd card.
TRY THIS
If u have lucky patcher installed on ur device, the version should be 3.9.3, first of all, move ur app or game's data (the very known com.xyz.xxxxx folder) to extsd/android/data or obb by using filemanager , now create that folder with a same name in sdcard or internal sd/android/data or obb/here, which would be like com.xyz.xxxxxx, open lucky patcher v3.9.3 goto toolbox tap directory binder, remember it will not bind the whole sdcard or internal sd , it will work only for particular directory (folder), so no need to worry, now tap on add new directory bind, no tap browse the 1st one, and show it to the path of that extsd/android/data/com.xyz.xxxx folder after that select current directory, now go for browse the 2nd one, goto the internal path should be like sdcard/android/data or obb/com.xyz.xxxx select current directory, now tap on bind directory. thats it, it will save ur sdcrd space. u can check it by setting then storage, i successfully did it in my funbook infinity having 1.5gb internal space available, plays the amazing Spider-Man2 , the dark knight rises, and dead trigger.
I have a rooted but otherwise stock Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (SM-T705) and I have a 128GB Sandisk SD card. Is it possible to move all apps (with all their contents) to the SD card? I read that even though my device is rooted, I will need to partition my SD card first before i can move all apps (with all their contents) to the SD card? Can someone please tell me how to partition my SD card? Also, if I move all apps with all their contents to SD card, would the running of such apps encounter any problems (as part of them are supposed to be in the device internal memory?)
I tried Link2 SD and Titanium Backup Pro but I could not see any such function (only native Android app2sd).
Thank you very much in advance.
How can I access my SD card? I'm using root explorer and I'm only seeing the things that are on the hard drive. Thanks.
The "My files" app lets u view both if ur still stock or havent removed it

Wow I had to reset the phone that app wasn't showing, thanks!
In root explorer I can find the ext SDCard in /mnt/extSdCard
I've found that I/O FileManager works much better than My Files.
File Explorer can access it by going to favorites > Mnt/extsdcard.
But samsung has actually worked on making it difficult to do Apps 2 SD for some reason so dont even try it
I can't get clockwork mod to access the micro sd card - is it because of the name... ie, does it need to be changed to emmc or something like that?

oops - sorry just found another thread about it. I'll have to wipe it later..
