Deleting sd-ext - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

I had originally created a sd-ext partition of ~600 MB using MiniTool on Windows 7. However, recently I observed that the 2nd partition is not being shown at all, by MiniTool, Windows 7 Disk Mgmt or GParted.
Using the recovery I was able to partition the sdcard and bring the sd-ext partition size down to 128MB, but I am still unable to completely delete it.
The built in SDCard erase option too is formatting only the FAT32 partition. Is there any command line I can use within android itself to completely delete the sd-ext partition?
Resolved: Miraculously, Windows finally detected my card as being unformatted and a quick format got the job done.

[Q] Can't see files after trying to create partitions on SD

I tried to create 2 partitions (first FAT32, second ext3 for Apps2SD/Link2SD) on my 2 GB SD card (yeah, this one which is included in Galaxy Ace original package). I used MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition software and it didn't create both partitions (because Windows can't recognize two primary part in removable device, just FAT32 part was created).
Now I can't access files on my SD card. // OK, I can see these files now, but there's still problem with the second partition, Link2SD says "device not found") – the reason is that ext3 partition wasn't created, MiniTools show only first FAT32 partition. When I want to delete this partition and create one big partition (I mean reset changes), MiniTools Partition Master is doing that, but after „success“ applying this option there are still first FAT32 partition and unallocated space.
I wanted to get everything to normal, so I formatted SD card (FAT32/FAT; in MiniTool and Windows, both of them), but no change – when I upload MP3 file to SD card, I am not able to see it in Android.
ROM VillainROM 1.0.
Does anybody know what happened?
Thanks for advice.
// OK, problem solved, but I really don't know how. LOL.

[Q] Used Minitool to create second partition on Micro SD card, file system is...

Micro SD card is 16G.
Main partition is 13G, second partition is 3G. Both are set as "Primary" and "FAT32". Why is it that Windows can only read the main partition but not the second? They're both Primary and FAT32.
What am I missing?
Thanks guys!
Hmmm... I think it's the way Windows is designed to. It can only access contents of the first partition and will hide the other partitions from the user. Some disk partitioning tools will even warn you that when you try to create a second partition on a removable disk.
i dont think it is the problem of minitool partition wizard. Because in my sdcard, there are 3 primary parition and them both can be read. Maybe one of your partition has be hidden.

[Q] /data/sdext2 not getting mounted!!

Hi Guys,
I am using Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i & is rooted. I had 4GB memory card & had only 2 partitions FAT32(3.25 GB) & Linux ext3 (500MB) & was working well. All my apps were residing in this (ext3) partition /data/sdext2.
Yesterday I took backup of SDCard (through Win 8 PC) and used MiniTool Partiton wizard to create a Linux swap. Here is how I did,
1. I deleted FAT32 partiton only.
2. Recreated it to 3GB
3.Created a 256MB Linux Swap partition.
4.Already existing partition ext3 was not touched.
After inserting the SD card I couldn't mount the Linux partition ext3 (/data/sdext2) using link2sd app. I searched through xda forums & did some troubleshooting using adb shell by using mount command (being in su). But its not working out.
Please help me in recovering my ext3 [artition as I have all my apps residing over there. Also I had replaced the backup taken from SDCard before yesterday's partiton.
Pleeease let help me in recovering the partition /data/sdext2.
Thanks a lot,
Rajeev

Resizing sd card partitions

I partitioned my 32 gig sd card into 2 (fat32 and ext4). This was done for link2sd as I have my phone rooted n I use the 2nd partition for linking applications. But my second ext4 partition is of 12G n the rest is in the fat32 first partition. I also use foldermount to link large game data and obb to the sd card's 1st partition. Now I'm running out of space on the first partition. And the ext4 partition is all free (around 9G). Now I want to resize the first partition to increase its size n decrease the ext4 partition size. Windows doesn't recognize the second partition as usual.
So, how can I re-partition my SD card WITHOUT loosing data on either of the partitions? I'm not worried about the first partition as I can back it up but I cant back up the linked files present on the 2nd partition.
Any help is appreciated.
