[Q] how to erase device w/o screen - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I've got archos 101 internet table with broken screen. Want to sell it as broken device but at first I'd like to erase my personal data from it. Any idea how to do that without screen? Some secret key-codes? maybe via pc?
thanks for any ideas,
brqsl

really? no ideas? or it is so obvious that it is not worth to mention...

I know this is not what you want to hear, but if it doesn't turn on at all then no.
tought so, but is there no way to take out the memory and put it on a new motherboard or somthing like that?

Of course you can do that, but that's a massive undertaking and would cost you 2 phones.
i am still looking for an solution to recover my data from a dead sgs2 is there a way to do it, even if i have to destroy the phone?
Hi lector007 ,
Did you ever figure out a way to do this?
The exact same thing happened to me and I'm desperate to get all the videos of my daughter off the internal memory.
I just can't beleive that it's not possible.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thank you

[Q] Full Backup via USB

Sorry if this has been asked, but I am shipping my tablet out tomorrow and I have a question.
My tablet's screen stopped working, so I got an RMA and am all set to send it in. But there is a strong to 100% chance they will wipe the entire tablet correct? Because the screen doesn't work (but everything else does, ie. USB), is there a way I can make a complete dump of my tablets hard drive and restore it when I get it back (obviously after rooting it)?
Thanks in advance!
Are you rooted?

[Q] Samsung S3: Formatting phone without access to screen.

I have an S3 which has a cracked. I'll probably be selling it as it isn't feasible to repair as the screen is quite expensive. In any case, how can I format the phone, without access to the screen. Can it be done by the PC? Or perhaps a guide using the hardware keys somehow?
Thanks!

[Q] Moving data from one Asus Memo FHD to a new one

Hi all,
About a month ago, I dropped my Asus Memo FHD 10. It only looked like it cracked the screen in the bottom corner where it hit the ground, but it seems there is some other internal weirdness going on. Anyway, I bought a new one and was wondering how hard it was to open them up and pull the drive out of the old one and stick it in the new one? Is that even possible? Would it just boot up since the hardware should essentially be the same? Just the old one was already rooted and I had everything setup the way I like it. Hate to have to go through all that again. Any help or tips would be appreciated. -Thanks-

Theoretically it's possible but it requires some electronics knowledge etc. I would love to see someone do it.
Also there is always the risk of ruining your new device as well so even if you knew how to do it and you wanted to risk it I wouldn't advice it. Unfortunately the only safe way is to go through all that process again (root etc.).
