i know but still just making sure that my battery is now needed to be replaced so doing anything i can with the battery...who know what may work..but i dont get one thing....if my battery is not working properly then it should drain fast rather than getting stuck on 70%...that's why i am doing almost everything with the software so that i am sure that my battery is not working properly and i wont be wasting money in buying a new one

I want to know that we normally calibrate battery when it is charged to 100%, but what if we remove batterystats when we are on 0%?
it will be the same as we caliberated when it was caliberated at 100%?
It's generally not a good idea to drain a lithium ion battery down to 0. They don't have memory, but draining them all the way can destroy the battery.

One day my phone got switched off automatically because the battery was very low and then I rebooted again and it got switched off again. Later, I was not able to reboot it. I wasn't able to go into Recovery mode either. And when I plugged in my adapter for charging the battery, nothing happened. I thought my phone got bricked and was all set to go into a Samsung Service Centre. But somehow, after 24 hours, when I plugged it again, the battery icon appeared in my SGA screen and it was charging. I suppose my battery got down to 0%. Isn't it?

I got my gs3 yesterday, and it came with about 50% battery. I charged it overnight, and am using it now...do I need to run it down to 0% then charge all the way back up to 100? Some say I do, but I thought li-ion batteries didn't require that. Also, should I run a battery calibration?
Thanks.

No, you do not need to do anything to the battery. Charge it and use it normally.
Also, battery callibration does nothing that your phone does not already do on its own.

No you shouldnt let it go all the way down to 0%. Lithium batteries are designed to be permanently charged. if you discharge it completely you can damage your battery and/or the capacity goes down. So the best thing to do is charge it and when it is full just take it of the charger and dont leave it plugged in :good:
Hope this answers your question

Probably your battery is ruined, and I'm saying it being careful. I also had problems with my original one, they started small but with time they grew up and I had to change it. For me didn't matter calibration or removing the battery, it just got worse every week.

If you do a calibration and doesn't work, change the battery with one identical (from a friend with SGSII, dont buy it =) ) doesn't work too... maybe is the charge center from the phone and is damaged; if is it, take your phone to technical support...
I hope you have warranty, and take off al modified ROM's and Root's things.
Hi,
i want to know what would happens to my Neo v battery health if i put it in charge for a night?
does it get weak?
what about tethering?
what would happen to my battery if i connect my Neo v to laptop for 24 hours ?
my friend says that when mobile charging completes, the mobile switch to power and it's not using battery any more.
is it correct ?
thanks
If you keep your phone charging for that long,I bet your battery won't give you a good company for long!
Also it would get heated, and it can blast as it gets puffed up!
And as for the last question,
If you meant mobile switches to power saving mode,
Then I think yes... Once charging gets completed,it won't keep on charging!

all i need to know is how long time i could use my battery without any damage if i connect it to Laptop via USB cable? (for example using tethering)
isn't it harmful for battery health to connect my phone to a power supply for a long time?
i forgot to ask this , when I'm using my phone with data usage enabled, the back of my mobile get's warm.
is it normal ?
thanks
Yup it's normal as our phone gets a bit heated on continuous usage!
And keep charging only when it drops below 30 or say 15 percent!
A good charge can take upto 3 to 4 hours not more I feel!
(well,I doubt even that much is needed or not)
Sent from my MT11i using xda premium
thanks
but my main question is unanswered.
i want to know
if i connect my mobile to charger, and it completes charging and shows "Charged." message, is it harmful for battery health to remain charger connected to mobile or not?
sometimes if forget to remove the charger, and during nights I'm slept and can't remove the charger.
is it harmful if charger remains connected?
It would affect but not much.... But avoid doing that on a daily
Basis!

I googled a little around and I found this.
If your battery is based on an actual accu generation than it cuts off the charging. If the battery reaches 100 percent than it cuts off the charging process.
As long as it is than connected to power there will be no new charging.
But if you put out the charger and put it in again than charging will start again.

it should be something like this that stops charging when it charged.
my laptop is also the same as this and my battery health is almost 100% after several years.
i just wanted to make sure of that my NEO V is the same.
Charging stops when battery lever reaches 100%, but as soon as it drops ~98% it starts with charging again.
Download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ccc71.bmw it's creating battery_history.txt log file. Check it after you charge your phone for a night.
p.s. I think you need to put widget on your desktop in order for it to save log. Not sure, haven't use it for some time..
my neo v is having weird problem from 3 days.. from 25 % battery is falling down to 1 % and switching off in an instant..i tried wiping battery stats..but invain..anyone having this issue??
How old is your phone?? May b its time to say bye bye to your present battery and get a new one..
Get it out n see if its in proper shape.. did you make any changes in the battery calibration?? Or uv or somthing?? Such changes if not done properly might cause such problems.. experienced it myslef.. so if your are using any battery stats or battery modification app, try removing it and see.. or If the battery is not fit to use then clearing battery stats wont help..
I hope this meets your need..

print it out and stick papers on your wall...

Read what you(your friend) said in first post, and then check that log if it's true that it doesn't charge once its charged or it does charge every once in a while.
I had this for ages and it was draining my battery really bad and I discovered it started when I had my tablet plugged into an extended usb cable into my charger but it ran out of battery and wasn't the same since and just charging to 100% didn't get rid of it or rebooting or brushing the usb port (some suggestions I found on Google and Xda)
I searched google and xda for answers but didn't get any so what I did was charge my battery to 100% and then callibrate my battery and the wakelock disappeared
This happened with my note 10.1 but thought I'd post this here to help anyone who has this wakelock for the for the galaxy s3
Sent from my GT-N8010 using Tapatalk 2
Try to unplug the charger when phone is unlocked. Then reboot the phone. Now check in BetterBatteryStats for this wakelock.
I had this wakelock issue on my previous S2.
Sent Via I9300, Stock XXUFME7, 4.2.2.
It happens when you use a faulty usb cable or extension cable and the phone or tablet doesn't charge but when you unplug the cable it still thinks it's charging but it's not, the vbus wakelock is a usb charging wakelock, rebooting does nothing I had the wakelock for two weeks until I got rid of it and when I searched on Google and xda nobody knew how to get rid of it
