Probably your battery is ruined, and I'm saying it being careful. I also had problems with my original one, they started small but with time they grew up and I had to change it. For me didn't matter calibration or removing the battery, it just got worse every week.

Dear friend, who testing battery from china, is very big mAh. Can we use phone on this one. Battery life really will be a bigger or not ?

If you do a calibration and doesn't work, change the battery with one identical (from a friend with SGSII, dont buy it =) ) doesn't work too... maybe is the charge center from the phone and is damaged; if is it, take your phone to technical support...
I hope you have warranty, and take off al modified ROM's and Root's things.

I have a weird issue with my battery ..my phone will charge up to 100% but as soon as I unplug it...it takes less than 10 minutes for it to go down to 85%. Then it seems that the battery starts working normally after that...my phone is not rooted.
Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks in advance..

If you want help I suggest you provide more information. ie what rom you are running, how long you've had the phone, etc. If it is a brand new phone your battery may just need to be conditioned. Charge it to full, use it to empty, charge to full again and you should be good to go.

Its odd that a new stock phone doesn't run the battery well. in any case, the battery may not be calibrated yet. you can run this program. it will set the calibrate your battery for you. Let your phone drain down to under 15% before you recharge again. And let it fully recharge to 100%, then run it down thru the day to under 15%. After a few cycles like this, the battery will normalize. Then you will get a better idea of the battery life of your phone.

So I unplugged my galaxy today and it keeps saying that my battery is Overvolt. Don't think this is a good thing. How would I go about fixing it? Ty

Did you try calibration???
Aye calibrated it this morning, let it fully discharge then change to 100%... It seemed to have worked but when my battery drained to 90% the Overvolt status came back

u got any other battery at hand u can test ?
i remember getting this from a faulty battery... with other crazy batt problems
go original and check, if ur phone is under warranty ASK for a new battery and u will get one free of charge if its a phone problem u will get a new phone if not then im sure someone went thru such a problem and could help more... just my experience with the same problem...
Nothing to do with battery. Seems your usb port is damaged or dirty. Pretty soon you'll start developing temperature sign on reboot as well as others.
Main thread for this is in general section where I and others had to replace usb port board although some were lucky and only needed cleaning.
All the best.
Btw, battery calibration has no effect on the GS2.

Yup its with the port, batt pins,or the batt is gone...the calibrating dosnt make sense cause lion batt has no memory....check wiv other battery or try a full reset...hope it helps or last way is sammy center....
Managed to fix it... The flat bit in the USb port was a bit bent. Straightened it up wi a wee flat head screwdriver and the Overvolt thing almost immediately went away. ****in yaas thanks y'all

i know but still just making sure that my battery is now needed to be replaced so doing anything i can with the battery...who know what may work..but i dont get one thing....if my battery is not working properly then it should drain fast rather than getting stuck on 70%...that's why i am doing almost everything with the software so that i am sure that my battery is not working properly and i wont be wasting money in buying a new one

[Q] S3 Battery Problem

Hi All,
I have an odd battery problem. My S3 will die and at times when I plug the charger in and the Battery Charging Screen comes up, It shows the battery has more than 50% life. If I unplug the charger and use it, the battery lasts maybe an extra hour but once it reaches about 6% the screen starts flickering and then the mobile network disconnects. I'm sure this is due to low power from the battery.
Any way for me to fix this or to ensure my phone is displaying the correct battery percentage?
See attachment.
Test new battery. If its not charging while you're using it while plugged in then you have a faulty battery. Don't let the power drop so it shuts down. Try and lend a battery from a friend and test it.
I have the same problem with my phone. Is it possible that this problem is caused by the custom roms we are using? What do u think? :/

How old is the battery. Power problems nearly always end in an old battery that just needs replacing
Thanks

OK well these battery's don't last forever. First thing I would do is ask a friend to lend one and test it for 24hrs. Or just buy one
