Battery Readings.

I have a weird issue with my battery ..my phone will charge up to 100% but as soon as I unplug it...it takes less than 10 minutes for it to go down to 85%. Then it seems that the battery starts working normally after that...my phone is not rooted.
Any ideas or solutions?
Thanks in advance..

If you want help I suggest you provide more information. ie what rom you are running, how long you've had the phone, etc. If it is a brand new phone your battery may just need to be conditioned. Charge it to full, use it to empty, charge to full again and you should be good to go.

Its odd that a new stock phone doesn't run the battery well. in any case, the battery may not be calibrated yet. you can run this program. it will set the calibrate your battery for you. Let your phone drain down to under 15% before you recharge again. And let it fully recharge to 100%, then run it down thru the day to under 15%. After a few cycles like this, the battery will normalize. Then you will get a better idea of the battery life of your phone.

Battery Percentage Delay

Hi guys,
I charged my phone to 100%. After I was heavily using it, browsing, going on twitter, etc. And I notice the battery only dropped to 99% while I was using it. It should of at least dropped to 95%.. But when I locked the phone, I waited a minute and unlocked it again then I see the percentage is 92%... Is this normal? I never experienced this before..
I am on stock LFB. I did not root or install any custom roms yet.
Yh I think it's normal. On stock Rom. I stand to be corrected but I think it's not very accurate. There's a mod for it I think. Might need root access. But then u may aswell flash cm10

Anyone else have these issues?
it has never happened to me. Did you flash some rom(s) before this happened?

Nope was always on stock.
I think it is normal. It happens to me as well. Only while using battery intensive apps like gps. While using gps, my battery percentage did not change at all for the 20 minutes of usage. Then all of sudden it dropped by 15%.

The is quite normal. Happens on my phone quite often.

You think its a software issue or hardware issue? Could be the battery?
Does it make any difference what charger I am using? I live in Canada and I can't use the charger it came with since it is an international charger.
I used my old iPhone charger instead to charge it.
I also have this issue.
my battery stays stuck at 100% for quite some time, then again at around 20% or so.

Battery percentage wrong

I have a strange problem with my Xperia s.
Charging used to take ages. But all of a sudden charging from 4% to 100% only takes around an hour. Really strange but I didn't mind since everything seemed to be fine.
But a few days ago I used my phone while charging and I noticed it "skips" while charging. Like, it's at 20% and suddenly says 40%.
Now when I use my phone, everything is okay till it goes down to 16%. It will say 1% and suddenly shut down. When I plug in the charger, it will start again at 17%.
I tried a software reset with seus and battery calibration, both things didn't help.
What could be causing this? What else could I try?

Now we are getting somewhere.
I am using the charger that came with my Xperia ray since I lost the Xperia s one. They have the same output (5 v / 1 a) so I thought it was fine.
Cable is the original s one.
I already tried wiping the battery stats, didn't help.

Probably your battery is ruined, and I'm saying it being careful. I also had problems with my original one, they started small but with time they grew up and I had to change it. For me didn't matter calibration or removing the battery, it just got worse every week.
Dear friend, who testing battery from china, is very big mAh. Can we use phone on this one. Battery life really will be a bigger or not ?

If you do a calibration and doesn't work, change the battery with one identical (from a friend with SGSII, dont buy it =) ) doesn't work too... maybe is the charge center from the phone and is damaged; if is it, take your phone to technical support...
I hope you have warranty, and take off al modified ROM's and Root's things.

my OS is lying to me about battery draining! how can i train it???

in the name of GOD
Hi there!!!
my android gadjet dont show me the correct battery use percentage.
when i charge it to 100% it drain fast to 98% and then normaly to about 40%, then fall down to 14%.but for example when i charge it to 100% and use it and restart it, it drain about 10% and when it come to 40% it dont drain but when it come to 40-10=30%, darin quickly to 14%.
i think it mean my gadjet cant show exact battery using percentage and need to restart for every time that i need find out exact percentage.
some body told me using Battey doctor app beacuse of it professional charging for 1a month but it has not helping me yet. my device has not been ROOTED.
so what shoud i do, you think?
Try factory reset, if that doesnt help, i think u need a new battery
