Prime won't reboot - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

So I bought a prime today off of Craigslist. It was working fine and everything and I decide to restore it to delete the info on it. I restored it with the settings option and now it just stays on the splash screen. I looked and tried about everything and can't find anything. I saw other threads about this bit could not find anything. What should I do know guys?

I would try to install clockworkmod recovery, this was one of the steps I took to get a rom on my device as it had .21 ICS already on it.
I too bought my prime on craigslist, so far no issues
Sry forgot link to install cwm rec

It has CWM already and I downloaded two different ROMS on a SD card but when ibl install the SD card it doesn't read it. So Idk how to install a ROM on it

Ok, have you tried wiping everything, even backup your sdcard, then format it, and try to install from it again.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk 2

Yes I've tried but nothing
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

The thing is it only stays on the splash screen and when I insert the SD card it doesn't read it. I reboot to CWM and it doesn't read the SD
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

Do you have another sdcard?
You said you formatted the sd, make sure the card is in when you reboot....
Hmmm second thought
Have you tried to flash the TOUCH version of CWM?
I'm using that to erase, and flash my roms, but i think there is no sd support so i put the rom in a folder on the internal drive
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk 2

Yeah I'll try it with a different SD and we'll see what happens. I'd have to do it tomorrow cause I'm at work now. But hopefully I get it fixed

Cmw doesn't read the external SD card slot afaik.. cuz the primes partitions are laid out weird so it thinks the internal memory is the "SD card".. try Diamondbacks unbrick methods or the masterzen unbricker from the development thread best of luck to ya

Just push the ROM to the internal storage. "adb push rom.zip /sdcard" replace the rom.zip with the full path to and filename of your ROM.

How would I do that?

when You connect to your PC, can you see the prime, and access the system?
If you can then you need to put the .zip onto the Primes internal storage,
then choose it when flashing.....
I believe I stated this originally, Its how I flashed Virtulous.

When I connect the prime my laptop doesn't read it. It searches and then fails to recognize the device

Any other suggestions? I still haven't figured it out yet
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

you need to get prime into recovery mode, and install drivers on your PC that will recognize it. The only way your gonna have any luck is if you can get your pc to see the file system on the prime. Focus on finding this solution..
You have tried the unbricking solutions?
Sometimes you might not have to follow them to a "T"
What operating system are you on?

[Q] Installing CM9 on Encrypted TFP

So I bought a TFP a few months ago. I encrypted it before flying between the USA and Canada. I have this CWM Touch recovery installed. My TFP is currently running stock Android. It looks like CWM can't mount the sd card nor can it mount /data, so I can't do a wipe. Without being able to access the sd card to install CM9 nor being able to do a wipe, I'm not sure what to do next. My end goal is to install CM9. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of what I should do next?
I got it. I'll write a blog article about it soon. It takes a lot of patience and a bit of adb and mounting magic along with a spare external sdcard.

Hey,
thank you for your solution, maybe I've got the same problem. Is there any way, to backup my device first? Because I'm still running stock Rom and want to prevent a brick
Thank You

need info

hi all can somebody direct me to modding the sgs3 as i am doing it for a friend need some steps like do i have to unlock bootloader before i root and stuff i am using hox so new to sgs3
Galaxy S3 has an unlocked bootloader, use CF-root to root it. The GS3 also uses a flash counter, if you root or flash a custom rom it will trip the flash counter, and unless it's reset with triangle away even if you reflash stock you may not be able to claim warranty.
Check out the development section for some mods (there is also a sticky in the general with some mods, and roms.)
No, Sammy bootloaders aren't locked (except verizons b*stard child S3)
Flash cf-root 6.4 via odin and you are rooted and have recovery.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
soft brick please help with firmware i can flash through odin
Just go into recovery and wipe data/factory reset.
Get into recovery by holding vol up + home + power.
Try that first.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
tryed it need to put a rom onto the internal memory but it not letting me mount sd to comp
And how did you delete your system?
It should boot after doing a wipe, unless you formatted your system partition.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
think i formatted system via super wipe for arhd
Christ sake, another person f*cking themselves up because of that script.
Why didn't you follow the instructions properly? Especially the part where it says put the ROM you want to flash on the external SD?
You need to boot into download mode and flash a firmware via Odin.
Sammobile.com is where you need to go now.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
am going to try put arhd on a extern sd and try flash that way will that work n i didnt put it onto exsd because i have arhd on my hox so didnt think to do that as i said doing for a friend
Ya put it on the external SD and flash from there.
Superwipe wipes internal storage, which is retarded, but that's how that dev does it.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
How did that dev not see this coming with the useless super wipe. But yeah put a Rom on your ext sd send flash. Or flash a stock rom through Odin and start again.

That's because hox has no external SD so wiping internal SD would cause this problem every time someone used that pointless script.
Its an absolute joke of a script, it shouldn't touch the internal storage.

(Request)

Recently somebody posted a zip file of CWM that could be stored on SD card, the point of it being that if a custom Rom is installed on a locked bootloader, thus deleting the recovery, there is no quick way to recover from any bootloop or freezing problems.
The CWM file is installed from SD card after installing the Rom and before rebooting.
I have lost the file and despite searching XDA I cannot find it again.
Anyone able to help please?

Just looking at the first link,
You have a bad SD card or
SD card not formatted to fat32
Not on root of sdcard (as in no folders)
Bad SD tray (unreadable by phone)
Named wrong (remember windows sometimes hides extentions)
These are the only reasons your phone isn't finding the image
There really is no other reason your bootloader won't find the update, I would triple check info above and if you still can't get it you should be able to use fastboot instead

Yup, if your phone reads it that's not the issue

Also i formatted my sdcard(2GB Micro SD) and put the pg06img.zip onto it but it didnt load, also tried with 8gb Sandisk, I have been trying to root this phone for over a week and have broke it with anger. It usually only takes me about 20mins to root a phone
Well these are the only reason this method won't work, but cnexus knows what he's doing so ask if you can just flash through fastboot
Should be
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip stockrom.zip
Or whatever you name it, just double check with him

I bought a ZTE T81 4.4.2 and everytime I've tried to root "Your Phone Is Incompatible" or "Error Incompatibility Disconnecting Device" and its sad because all I want is a root explorer! I suppose at least I've more freedom then an apple device! APPLE SUCKS!

Flashing from SD to internal drive

djd338 said:
Personally, I had trouble booting & running SD cards. I'm convinced it wasn't hardware but my noobness! Since then I've always loaded only to emmc. I also had trouble going directly & straight to CM10 roms from the B&N 1.4whatever OS.
So, looking for a recovery + rom that matched, I used Indirect's app to get cwm 5, then had no trouble loading a CM9 rom (all to emmc). Once CM9 was up & running good, I used Goo Manager to load an updated TWRP recovery suitable for CM10, then Cm10.1, etc. That's what worked for me & to this day I see no need to boot from SD's. Just me tho.

Alright. Once I flash to internal from my SD android I'll be able to just remove the SD card and run straight off the nook itself?
Sent from my Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet using xda app-developers app
Yep, but once you flashed it will use the sdcard as default storage if you want to use the internal memory as default put this line in your build.prop under /system/build.prop (use root explorer or something like that)
persist.sys.vold.switchexternal 1
Paste it at the end of the file and you are done.

I've got a 16Gb SD card that I was trying to originally use but was having trouble setting up to do so. Could I just pop that in and use it for memory once I flash to internal? And also, if I was to back up my current build which is Carbon ROM, would I be able to restore to it once I flash to internal or would it not work since it was backed up through the SD build?
Sent from my Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet using xda app-developers app
Once you change your recovery you must immediately make a backup using it. One recovery cannot access backups made by another recovery.
