Hi there, I am fairly new so apologies if I am posting this in the wrong area or if this question seems ridiculous.
I recently put Gingercrust Sonygenmod 1.1 onto my LG p500H and it has increased performance a lot. Here, however, is my dilemma. It will not register either SIM card I have now in the phone (Telus/Koodo), I am not sure if this may have to do with my location, but I doubt it.
The other issue I had was that if I put the phone into 'Airplane Mode', it will not turn back off when toggled, even with a reboot.
I have tried to post this in the thread that this Rom was downloaded from, but due to my being a noob to the XDA Forums (Love what I am learning ) I cannot post to try and get any assistance from the uploader of said Rom. I cannot message him either.
Does anyone have any advice? Or know if there was a released solution I have not stumbled across?
Appreciate any help or witty bashing anyone can supply, ha ha. Have a good one!
You might have different baseband, Gingercrust is for old baseband so if you were on stock GB before which has new baseband, so upgrade your baseband or search for some baseband fix.

I originally posted this thread in the ROM development forum. However, I was informed that this should have been posted here. My message is below:
Dear All,
Before anyone freaks out on me (easy now, Im an advanced noob) Ive tried searching first (in case theres a thread already out there) but couldnt find anything that answers my question.
Therefore, I ask again, Will flashing a new Radio fix my very weak Bluetooth & Wifi problem? They were working fine before I flashed a custom ROM so I thought maybe it was a Radio related issue.
Thanks for putting up with me guys! Your valuable feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Yaz.
See attachment for my HD2 details.
Probably.
Make a backup and flash a new radio.
Hi guys,
I am running the Lite'ning Rom v5.0 XXKG6 on my Orange UK Supplied SGS2. I would like to know if it is possible or if anyone is able to get the Orange Signal Boost App to run on this or any other custom ROM?
I don't really want to go back to the standard Orange ROM, but could really do with the UMA Signal Boost App as I get very poor signal in the office.
There is another thread which talks about this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036713 on the Desire S, but they haven't managed to get it to work, however I beleive that is becasue they are trying to port it from another device. Whereas we know it works on the SGS2 already!
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help or make a suggestion
Sorry to bump this, I was wondering if I was the only Orange UK user who would like to use UMA Signal Boost App on a custom ROM?
I guess you didn't see this thread then on page 1 of this forum.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208830
I'll keep an eye on this, because it's the only thing keeping me from running a debranded ROM!
Nope missed that, I think it was because I kept searching for UMA, which didn't come up in the other thread!
Suggest everyone follows the existing thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1208830
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, lets hope an APK is developed soon.

Orange Signal Boost - I9100 / ICS 4.0.3 xxLPH - SIM Card Not Recognised
Hi all – I just wanted to give my experience of Signal Boost on ICS xxLH.
I followed the instructions given by 5aq1b on page 18 of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20803760&postcount=172) using the SignalBoost.rar posted by Joey2o11 on page 12 of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19692151&postcount=119).
When I restart my phone it does not recognise the SIM card.
When I copied the new default.prop to /system, I was given the option to merge with the existing default.prop.
Was this the correct choice or should I have first deleted the existing default.prop?
I've restored using CWM so no problem.
If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
I really do not want to return to the stock Orange ROM but I'm not so happy about having to stand at the bottom of the garden to make a call .
With thanks
I am also trying to get this working, would love to use a custom rom, but rely on the signal boost app! If anyone has any ideas i am willing to try them out, in the meantime i shall keep trying!

Hey guys. Found an answer to this post. Please ignore.
I had to have my previous (Froyo) rooted Epic Touch replaced due to hardware issues. The replacement Touch has Gingerbread with EI22. I've searched the forums and found tons of stuff on other modems but not much on the EI22. Feel free to point it out if I missed it.
The EI22 seems to get much better reception, so I'd like to keep it if possible. But I believe I have to flash back to EC05 to use DRockstar's (Chainfire's) rooting method. Can someone advise? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone! So I'm very familiar with Android (running it, hacking it, etc.) but I don't know much about the Vibrant, and from the research I've done it seems kind of hacky...well really hacky. Anyways I just have a few questions before I start messing around with my girlfriend's phone; I'm just gonna list them below to make it easier. Any help would be appreciated very much of course! Thanks in advance!
1. What is going on with the model numbers/names for this phone?
Okay, so my girlfriend has a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G (from what I found out, I believe the model number is T959V). This is still considered a "Vibrant" right? Also, will ROMs, recoveries, etc. labeled for the "T959" also work with her phone? (Since it is technically T959V)
2. Are there any Jelly Bean ROMs without the emergency calling issue?
I've been reading around about the different Jelly Bean ROMs available for the Vibrant, and can't find a general consensus about which, if any, do not have the emergency calling bug. Besides for that bug, it seems like Jelly Bean has been running pretty smoothly on the Vibrant. So is there a ROM without this bug, and what exact problem does the bug cause?
3. What are the basic steps from upgrading from Froyo to Jelly Bean?
I know this question seems more stupid than the rest, but after reading several guides, ROM installation instructions, and wikis, all of the instructions seem to say something different. I just want to know the VITAL things that I have to flash (radios, bootloaders, kernels, etc.) before I can just boot into recovery and flash a Jelly Bean ROM zip and have it boot up.
Like I said before, I hope I don't seem too needy or ignorant by posting this! I truly have done my research on this phone already, but a few things are still very unclear to me. I just want to be safe before I try to do anything to it! Also for the sake of everyone else, I wanted to avoid having to post "PLZ HELP I BROK MY FONE!1!!" in the future. So if anyone can help me out at all, or if anyone has some general tips, I would appreciate it a lot! Thanks!
P.S. I know there are quite a few guides out there, but none of the ones I could find were updated anytime recently. And that's what brings me here!
To answer your first question. T959V and T959 are not the same thing.
Roms are not interchangeable.
The T959V does have its own section here on XDA.

Thank you very much. A mod can move this to the SGS 4G section so it's not taking up space here.
I still have a sgs2 running on 2.3.3 can anyone help me to update it to 4.0.4 or even cm10.1?
Why open another thread? If you want to update, you're definitly not the first one who tries this. Doesn't this make you think there maybe are other people who've asked this or even descriped this in other threads? Search and read, that's the best thing you can do.
