[TIP] Restore you stock RAZR ROM. - Motorola Droid RAZR

After a failed update, no programs recognize my RAZR, and I could not make it work, until I decided to read the file. XML ROM folder that was downloaded.
I tried using RSD Lite but without success, always gave errors 1/20, 13/20.
I tried one last action: executed line by line what was done by the XML file I downloaded from the SBF http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362956 topic.
I created a. Bat file with the contents
Code:
moto-fastboot flash mbm allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
moto-fastboot reboot-bootloader
moto-fastboot flash mbmloader mbmloader.bin
moto-fastboot flash mbm mbm.bin
moto-fastboot reboot-bootloader
moto-fastboot flash cdt.bin cdt.bin_signed
moto-fastboot reboot-bootloader
moto-fastboot erase cache
moto-fastboot erase userdata
moto-fastboot flash logo.bin logo.bin
moto-fastboot flash ebr ebr_signed
moto-fastboot flash mbr mbr_signed
moto-fastboot flash devtree devtree_signed
moto-fastboot flash system system_signed
moto-fastboot flash radio radio.img
moto-fastboot flash boot boot_signed
moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed"
moto-fastboot flash cdrom cdrom_signed"
moto-fastboot flash preinstall preinstall"
moto-fastboot flash webtop webtop_signed"
moto-fastboot
I put the folder where you extracted the file "Branding: en.BR VIVO," along with the files from ADB + moto.fastboot.exe, and run the .BAT after connecting the phone in fastboot mode.
Okay, my phone went back to the LIVE STOCK ROM
sry for my bad english, i use translator in some parts

So this gets you back to dead stock vivo? Couldn't you just use fastboot?

Can you be a bit more specific on syntax used. I have the atrix baseband img in the fastboot folder and all is good but I get a "cannot load" error. The name of the baseband img file is baseband_OTA.img So with that in mind how would my commands look? I have typed fastboot flash radio baseband.img. I get the error saying it cannot load the file.

Bricked XT910

Hello I inadvertently flashed his XT910 XML firmware 4.1.2 for XT912. The telephone does not work. I tried unbrick, but it does not work, does not start recovery. Runs only bootloader error "Invalid CG OTV".
Help restore the phone, please.
Thank you!
I am sorry for my bad English, I use Google Translate
UPD:
Through RSD Lite to flash now can only XT912 JB.
The phone turns on, but does not load launcher etc.
Other firmware via RSD not even installed. An error "failed flashing process 13/18 flash system".
I got that error too, try downloading the file again ut was a bad download or corrupted file...

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, this does not resolve the problem.
I think we should wait for the XML JB XT910.
I had the same problem, i switched from ICS to JB.vodafone and kept my root with Voodoo root keeper. One time my phone got into bootloop after restart (messed with build.prop a bit ).
Well i flashed a lot of stupid firmwares over RSD even x912 jellybean fastboot files on my x910 . But it just doesnt work
So a guy came to XDA forums and wrote this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194825 I fallowed this instruction and got unbricked
I lost my Root, but i can atleast use my phone, which is more important :victory:
So there is one more side note to this tutorial
(as i flashed all sorts of files into my phone by trying to unbrick it, my partitions were a mess so)
So Before You use HDA-Pilot's instructions flash all partitions that you still have access to by hand.
Download EuroperRETAIL fastboot files that HDA gives you in his thread and flash with fastboot like this:
->fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
->fastboot flash cdrom cdrom_signed.img
...........
.....
...
Do this too all files and you will get error on system_signed and Boot.img, but your partitions will be ready to house euRetail JB and you will get System and Boot flashed on HSD-Pilot's tutorial, just before unbricking your doodles

But, unfortunately:

writing 'cdt.bin'... INFOPreflash validation failure

Just ignore it
it doesnt matter as long as you fallow all at steps. the end should be unbricked, and it was bad tutorial just didnt have much time to make it easier to read.
i think cdt.bin was supposed to fail others will not, i just didnt remember the details as i did it week ago
So as i said just do it from start and copy all errors you get, as it may just be something i overlooked and it will still unbrick your phone hopefully, other wise we get more data on what might be wrong. Actually if you would agree on live session on team-viewer so i can control your pc and do it for you it would be ok too .
hi, i have an european gsm xt910 with deleted CID and verizion us jb (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182674).
i've been using it for a couple of weeks with no problem, but today, after i turned off the phone, each time i try to turn it on it appears a black screen with the following white things (like the fastboot mode):
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)
0A.6c
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status code: 0

is it bricked? do i have to follow HDA-Pilot's instructions or is it something different since i deleted my CID (although i have a backup, i can't recover it because i can't boot into recovery)?
if there's another way to recover my phone with keeping root would be great, but of course it's better to have a working phone without root than a rooted brick
this evening i'm leaving for the whole weekend, so it would be awesome if you could answer me asap, so i can (hopefully!) fix my phone before departing. TY!

ok, i got a new message similar to the previous one. this is the situation:
i have an italian gsm xt910 with deleted CID and verizion us jb (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2182674) and i tried to install the CM10.1 xt910 version. i use BMM.
- during boot i went to BMM and restored CID
- wiped everything
- installed the lastest CM10.1 nightly (0430) + gapps
and after i booted the phone it appeared the following message:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)
0A.77
eMMC Info: Size 16G
To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status code: 0

and i can't go to recovery anymore, since this message appears ASAP the phone starts. what happened? how can i fix this? ty in advance.
i found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2194825), but i'd rather not lose root + recover it using linux (never used linux), if it is possibile. is it enought to go here and install the retail UK firmware using RSD lite?
edit: ok i used rsd lite 6.15 + the UK JB firmware. now i'm fighting (using this thread) to gain my root rights back

[Q] AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)

Hello on the weekend that just passed my GSM RAZR's battery completely died and when I went to plug it in in the morning I was greeted with a black screen that reads:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Boot Failure)

To return to normal mode - first press power key to power down
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0

I am on the cyanogenmod JB 4.2.2 and it was working fine without any issue really. I also don't think my phone is charging because it will only turn on if I plug it into and outlet. If I plug it in my computer to attempt to use RSD I just get the white light in the notification light.
So I was wondering if anyone could be of any help because this is my main phone and I am out of communication for the time being until it gets fixed.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I can get into stock recovery by holding the volume +/- down and plugging it into a wall charger but any option I select brings me back to a similar screen, sometimes missing the errors the other screen had at the bottom.
Çözümü için herhangi bir XT910 yada XT912 (cihazına göre) Gingerbread temelli bir rom'un içerisinden webtop_signed.img dosyasını çıkarın ve aşağıdaki komutla flashlayın.

I am on Jellybean 4.2.2, not Ginergread. Anyone else with any help? And I plugged the phone in all night last night and now it can show the menu without being on charge.

I have made dual boot with boot menu manager on my razr: 1. system is stock JB 4.1.2
2.system is AOKP 4.2.2
Everything works fine until I changed bootanimation on 2. system. After reboot phone reports this issue
I download ICS 4.0.4 file, but this fastboot file doesn't contain file "webtop_signed". After that I download Gingerbread fastboot file, where I found file "webtop_signed". Will this gingerbread "webtop_signed" work with JB ?
Where can i download that "fastboot folder"?

Are you sure that download link not expired? The website is no more available. Any new link from anyone?
I have the same problem, after flashing Magisk 15.3 form RR Nougat OS.
What should I do?
I'v got Droid RAZER Utility 1.8 and tried to roll back to stock ICS via Fastboot but it didn't fix it, where is 'devtree' error in log.
My next attempt was to flash it with RDS Lite but it doen's work under Windows 10, to now I'm trying to manually flash firmware from RAZR XT910 Firmwares SuperThread (Jelly Bean) with Droid utility moto-fastboot.exe command.
For 9.8.2O-124_SPUEM-14_S7_USASPDRICS01RUKE1007.0R_USASPDRJBRTGB_P011_b57374ab5a_p2b_S1FF_fb_CFC.xml.zip firmware it will be:

moto-fastboot reboot-bootloader
moto-fastboot flash mbmloader mbmloader.bin
moto-fastboot flash mbm mbm.bin

moto-fastboot flash boot boot_signed
moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed
moto-fastboot flash cdrom cdrom_signed
moto-fastboot flash emstorage emstorage.img
moto-fastboot flash radio radio.img
But I keep getting battery low warning:
Code:
moto-fastboot flash mbmloader mbmloader.bin
sending 'mbmloader' (42 KB)... FAILED (remote: Battery Low)
How to charge MOTO if I can't get to system and recovery, I'm not sure if it's charging on fastboot screen.

I was able to flash my phone with moto-fastboot.exe by NOT executing "moto-fastboot reboot-bootloader". This was the moment when after reboot phone was showing "low battery" warrning. After taking it from charger and not rebooting I was able to flash it.
Then Jelly Bean -> root -> SafeStrap - > LineageOS

Flashing system.img problem

Hi,
I have flash system.img file by using
Code:
D:\ADB\Android>fastboot flash system d:\backup\flash\system.img
sending 'system' (116302 KB)...
OKAY [114.524s]
writing 'system'...
OKAY [ 47.582s]
finished. total time: 162.108s
It seems normal to me, but the problem arise when I restart the the phone. The phone unable to boot, and when I try
Code:
ADB Shell
It says somethings like "sh" is not found. So I do reboot recovery go to the shell and mount /system. Shockingly there is nothing in there.
I have checked the contents of system.img, and there is a lot of things in there, including the "sh". But it seems fastboot failed to flash the system partition.
Anyone can help me ?
maybe you should tell more info about your device, brand, chipset, etc ?
so people can be more easy to help.
just newbie suggestion, ignore this if its no help xD
Looks like your system image file is corrupted cause its not mounted after loading kernel. What kind of filesystem the image is using?

The system image is not corrupted, because I can safely flash it using Clockworkmod. The filesystem is yaff2, and I have tried opening it using some software and my file is there. I think the problem lies on fastboot who failed flashing properly.

I would like to tell you my problem, I have a Mate 9 MHA-L09C605B111 which I did a rebrand a while ago and I'm with CUST 432 and installed the version of Oreo 8.0.0.368, a few weeks ago I received the update 369 via OTA. It was interesting to try; the problem is that I had open bootloader, TWRP Pretorian 3.2.0 and Root, take a terrible decision to do a relock of the bootloader.
After several attempts and letting the battery drain I could enter Fastboot mode, I have the FRP unlocked and I could unlock the bootloader again, the problem is that I can not enter either the TWRP, or to recovery mode, try flashing again the same TWRP I had installed it well but still when I want to enter after passing the Huawei logo it remains on the white screen of ERROR MODE, Func NO: 11 (recovery image) Error NO: (image Failed!) Reading other forums and looking I have been told a lot by Internet that it is necessary to make the Dload method try it but it did not work, I understand that it does not work in this model but I still try it.
I also did a flash with all the files as I found in a tutorial
"When you have system extracted, flash it in fastboot using fastboot flash system system.img.
Do the same with KERNEL, extract and flash to fastboot flash kernel KERNEL.IMG
(BOOT is now split into RAMDISK and KERNEL)
Recovery was split to recovery_ramdisk, recovery_vendor and recovery_vbmeta
Boot was split into ramdisk and kernel
Recovery2 (erecovery) was split into erecovery_ramdisk, erecovery_kernel, erecovery_vendor and erecovery_vbmeta
fastboot flash ramdisk ramdisk.img. Kernel flashed as fastboot flash kernel kernel.img.
Recovery ramdisk as fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk.img "
I'm still stuck on the same screen with error 11 and 2 I made the flash of the recovery that I used when I put version 368 are two MHA_RECOVERY_NoCheck.img and MHA_RECOVERY2_NoCheck.img both give Failed using the command Fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_XXXX with both the same without using the _ramdisk command is equal I'm still stuck in the same state.
Does anyone have an idea that another method I can try?
I will thank you very much.
You can flash all * .img through ADB and in this case there is a specific order to do it, check several threads but I did not get an answer and search but I could not find anything, it is worth noting that when I flash files I mentioned before all OKAY but on power up it goes back to error 11 and 2 I have been told that it is a partition problem but I could not find something to recover them, there is some method that is missing or maybe an error in the steps I am doing ? I still can not access the TWRP but I can access without problems by ADB.

1. go here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_spyder/list.php and download 01.6.5.1-73 for your country.
2. download also 01.6.7.2-180 for your country.

4. copy webtop_signed from 01.6.5.1-73 and all the files from 01.6.7.2-180 and paste them in c:\fastboot ( if you dont have it google for moto fastboot )
5. start cmd and write these commands (but you have to wait each command to finish then write the next one.)
cd c:\fastboot
moto-fastboot flash webtop webtop_signed
moto-fastboot flash cdt.bin cdt.bin_signed
moto-fastboot flash logo.bin logo.bin

moto-fastboot flash system system_signed
moto-fastboot flash boot boot_signed
moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed
moto-fastboot flash cdrom cdrom_signed

My friend has a XT910 running 2.2.3 i am thinking of rooting it i dunno the procedure can you guide me and i am from india wt firmware should i download for XT910 is it possible to flash md5 files through odin and also can moto razr XT910 have cwm recovery???
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
Sorry man for being late. For rooting xt910 u can use droid utility. U cant install cwm cause the bootloader is locked. U can use an app called safestrap which works as the cwm. No you cant use odin for motorola while you can use RSD to flash sbf. I will guide you tomorrow on how to flash, root and cwm.

The only way I could manage to unbrick it is by deleting CID. After that, flashed stock rom via RSD Lite, first stock ICS 4.0.4 then upgraded to JB 4.1.2, installed Safestrap 3.65 and flashed few custom roms and everything worked like a charm. Before deleting CID, nothing, and I mean NOTHING worked, always aborting flashing process at step 6 (cdt.bin). Tried every known method and nothing worked. I was ready to sell the Razr for parts or something, but I had nothing to lose so I deleted CID and voila! Worked like a charm. Search my posts here, there is a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

CID stands for Customer ID which is preventing you to flash other firmware than the one which is meant for your country/region. By deleting CID via Fastboot, your phone becomes "unlocked" to flash any firmware world wide. That's how I unbricked my phone.

After an hours of observation and search all other probability via google and xda, i solved the problem... the boot loop is caused by unfinished installing cm 10.1 in my main system, and the clockworkmod recovery useless at all to help since it cant be booted to cwm recovery by any methods if the devices were boot loop while the battery are in minimal power so the Fastboot mode is unreachable to prevent me doing a uncompleted flashing roms via rsd lite. so i let the phone in boot loop show the M logo untill the battery drains out, iwhen it switched off cause of no more battery power i plugin the charger into the phone and let it charging for 10 hours +/- then the fastboot can be entered so i can flash the device with a stock rom. even there is no one who answer my question im grateful with xda and all the senior and developer thread who helped me to resurrect my device.

But like many others firmwares that I tried, RSD shows an error: cdt.bin_signed failed!
Now I'm trying to delete the cid like Lincoln357 did, but this phone it's locked, cant unlock the bootloader so cant delete cid
