[Q] Phone not recognized in ODIN. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Last night, I noticed that my phone had stopped playing audio while streaming from google music, so I decided to restart the phone, hoping that would solve the issue. I restarted the phone, but this time, neither the audio worked, nor could the phone connect to the cellular network. It could however connect to the wifi. I rebooted the phone once again, but this time, the phone would just load to a certain point and quit doing anything else, that point being the screen with the Warning Sign.
I can't seem to be able to start the phone in CWM first of all, and when I tried to put the phone in download mode, ODIN could not detect my phone was plugged in at all.
The ID:COM is blank and I can't flash the Zedomax Kernel or I777UCKH7-CL503881-No-BL.
I'll try doing this from a different computer at school later today, but in the mean time, help me please.
Edit: So I ran the device through device manager, and it turns out the cable itself went bad. I'm flashing I777UCKH7-CL503881-No-BL and waiting for results of that.
I flashed I777UCKH7-CL503881-No-BL, and the boot screen has changed. The yellow warning arrow has disappeared, but I can't boot into the OS or CWM?

The Screen just hangs at this screen:

Where should I go from here?

Cannot update my mozart through zune

I've tried to update my Mozart through zune, but it gets stuck at step 6 "rebooting the phone". The phone just reboots to the HTC splash screen and then continues to constantly reboot.
The only way I can stop it is by removing the battery... After the phone boots back up Zune attemps to continue with the update but then comes back with the error about the software mode reported by the phone is incorrect.
It seems to me like the phone is struggling to boot into the correct mode to flash the software...
I've tried it on 2 different PC's by the way.
Can anybody help?
I've figured out what the problem is, but i don't know how to fix it.
The phone cannot boot into "connect to pc" mode (holding down the camera button and power button). Using my friends mozart if i hold down the camera and power buttons for about 7 seconds and release the phone shows a black screen with a picture of a PC and a phone (connect to PC mode).
My mozart just reboots back to the HTC splash screen and does this constantly until the battery is pulled.
Connect to pc mode:

Is there anything I can do? Is there any software I can flash to the phone in bootloader mode that might fix it?
Iv'e got another more pressing issue now, that seems to be related to the "connect to pc" problem.
I cannot charge the phone when the battery has run flat. Instead of turning on and booting into the black screen which shows a battery charging it just shows the htc splash and then continues to reboot, or just vibrate a few times before dying... I'm having to charge my battery in my Desire S first.
You may want to try putting your handset ito bootloader mode and flashing a new ROM to it , if you phone is operator branded then you'll need to use one of their ROMs.
You should be able to find a guide on how to flash a rom in bootload mode in the general forum.

[Q] S2 USB not working

Hi!
I have a problem with my S2.
So, yesterday, I tried to tether through USB and I saw it was't working and I said I'd change the ROM and it will work. I changed 3 ROMs and realised that USB wasn't working (neither in ROM or recovery) An hour ago, I tried connecting it to Odin and after 5 minutes, I succeded in Odin recognising it and I started flashing official software, but phone randomly disconnected. Now, if I try to connect it, I can't and the phone does not boot and does not enter recovery. What can I do?
PS: Sorry for bad english.
PS2: Tried connecting phone to 3 Windows 7 PCs and a Mac and it wasn't recognised at all.
worn out?
I'm not sure but I think the contact/connecter is worn out... I have a similar problem with random disconnects mainly when charging the phone but also sometimes with usb-pc connections. Changing to newer cables helps a bit but not entirely...
If it is not rom related I don't know what you can do more then trying another usb cable or buying a new phone. I guess that's not an option?
You also said your phone does not boot and you can't enter recovery... But what about "download mode"? As long as you can enter download mode you can fix the software in your phone but to do that you need the usb to be working correctly with no disconnects or else odin will mess up every time!
Replace USB board. Has been discussed here many times over the past month or so; search for those threads.
The USB port seems to be the weak point of the S2. It is seemingly the most replaced part for this phone.....I have had to do it myself, and have helped others in a similar situation. If you search my topics, you'll find one called 'video tutorial' which shows a step by step process for 'tearing down' an S2. This will help if you decide to replace the board yourself. Online shopping sites are a good place to source the part you need. But be advised, there are THREE different versions of this part (REV2.2, REV2.3 and REV2.4) see the photo below to find out where to look for the version number....
Make sure you get the same version as you remove, as a mismatch at this point is likely to cause other problems. ....

}
Finally....do not attempt to recover your phone until you have replaced this part.......the chances are that you will make things worse.....to the extent that your phone *may* become unrecoverable......

Thanks a lot for the answers. I just had to clean it, and it's working perfecly now.

[Solved][Q]Bootloop because of SuperSU[Kyocera E6782][Thread Closed]

I don't have access to cwm/trwp, and the phone just flashes several time, popping, endless bootloop...not recovery mode or something, no stock ROM

Solved by fastboot flash recovery.
Thread Closed
2015.12.13
Here is the thing. My phone is Kyocera Brigadier E6782 [Verizon], a very unpopular phone. Today morning, I downloaded SuperSu and it let me update the Binary or something like that.
Then I clicked the normal option, it fails. I clicked the cwm/twrp option afterwards, and it reboot. Plus it says it will enter recovery mode.
[Then it just made my day] +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=
Before that, I was totally unaware of barely anything about Android Flash, so I unsurprisingly did not have any recovery mode in my phone.
[But now I know because I learned on this day, thanks to the bootloop!]
When the phone starts to reboot into recovery mode, it became bootloop, bricked, - softly I think.
What I mean here is that now my phone can't boot, my computer doesn't recognize it. Most importantly, I can't load fastboot and recovery mode simply because I don't have that ****.
What's more, I don't have a removable battery[rugged version], which lots of threads mentioned, is fairly important!
My only clue is that the phone will pop up a 1 sec image and flashes, BOOM, restarts again and again.
I have read nearly every helpful threads in the xda about how to solve the brick, bootloop problem today. It does make me learn a lot. I tried adb, fastboot and all I left is to get you guys help here. I know this morning I was panic, but I think this is clear regarding to everything it just happened today. I hope someone can really troubleshooting or point a solution for me. I will be giving my biggest appreciation to that!
Not afraid of explosion, I let the phone fully charged last night, in the meantime it was still endlessly rebooting. When I get up this morning, I press the power button and vol up, a green notification[shows fully charged signal] was on after the phone shuts down. I hope it was a premonition of being able to enter the fastboot mode. God bless me.
did you find a solution
i have the same problem now with mine but i found out how to access the operating system while its boot looping, just hold volume up and power keys until a dialouge pops up saying failed to start then release power then immediately press again. then when it vibrates this time release all keys. it will boot up. i need to fix this bootloop because i cant format my phone or access recovery enviroment. when i goto install supersu it say cant install.

Trying to wipe locked S7 Edge, can't go into recovery mode

Hi, I have someone's old s7 edge which I'd like to use in place of my A10e lol, it still has their password on it tho. The screen seems to have some really weird issues, if I power it on using the home button or power button half the time the screen will be extremely dim/green and half of it will flicker. It looks and works perfectly fine the rest of the time though. I got it to the "recovery booting" screen, but the screen just flashes then goes near-black (still slightly glowing, doesn't turn off) then boots normally about a minute later.
I've tried around 40 times and can't get it to go into recovery mode. I have no idea what I'm doing but I put it in download mode and tried using Odin to flash it with files I got off sammobile. It didn't even connect at first but did after I installed Kies. Odin said it passed, the phone restarted, then just booted back up to the same lock screen. I then tried installing TWRP onto it, which failed saying it couldn't open the serial(com) port? That's where I am now... does anyone know if there's any way to wipe the phone?
@eggy1
If you've phone's Stock ROM ( ZIP file ) at your fingertips then you simply re-flash phone with this Stock ROM to bring back the phone to its initial state.
If you can access phone by means of ADB/Fastboot then it's really simple to do a clean install of phone's Stock ROM..

I can't get adb to detect the phone, but I flashed it successfully with Odin using the files from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-s7-edge/how-to/sm-g935p-stock-odin-firmware-t3582821
It now seems to be stuck in a loop of recovery booting into the download mode screen, and occasionally into a caution screen that says no command.. should I try another rom?
@eggy1
Use SamFirm Tool what allows you to manually search and download the Stock ROM matching your phone.

Bricked device after latest software update

Hi,
I have recently updated my device to the latest software update and since then the device keeps restarting randomly.
I have managed to enter recovery mode, however none of the features listed. I have tried wiping data, wiping partition. Each time I selected one it would say wiping cache or wiping data and hang there until the next random reboot. The wiping task has never completed.
After this each time the device restarted it booted into recovery mode and I was unable to leave as none of the features there worked.
Then I left it on the charger overnight and now there is nothing on the screen. I tried force restarting it, then entering recovery mode and download mode without success.
The screen remain black.
When I plug the device in to the PC it shows up under the Other devices. The following image shows exactly how it shows up.

When I hold the Volume down and Power button, the device disappears momentarily then reappears which would suggest it has restarted.
Is there a way to fix this issue?

Sounds very similar to what happened to my 8 year faithfully working Nexus 7 tablet. One day I had it charging on my PlayStation and I rebooted the Nexus and it the PlayStation walked away when I came to use the tablet it wouldn't do anything (no sound either) but when plugged into a computer it was recognized. I figured I fried it so I didn't look to far into if fixing was even a possibility .
