Hello,
I got my prime through craigslist a couple months ago and the microsd card reader on the tablet wasnt working. I thought i could live without it but i dont like using the dock all the time just for the microsd slot. I have rooted and unlocked my prime and was wondering if i relocked it and did a warranty exhange if asus would take it back??

They might, you could try sending it back, depends if they are feeling nice or not i think.

there isn't a way to unlock it unfortunately. like the previous post said, try it! call them and see what happens
I'm curious too. Please post back it results.
I have been wary of unlocking because i don't want a hardware to defect to not be covered. If i brick my tablet or software crashes i can deal with it since it was my fault, but it would suck if a faulty hardware was cause for them to deny.

Hey everyone!
I just ordered the Transformer Prime tablet bundle from Gamestop because it said it was available and would ship in 24 hrs. What are the odds I'm actually going to get this??
I originally preordered a champagne one from bestbuy. tried to extend the backorder, but bestbuy cancelled it anyway
I really want this tablet and if this works I'll make sure to report back as it would be the only place in the US that this thing is shipping from.

Wish I'd known that... (Its way overpriced though) I was just skeptical that's why I asked because if you want to just buy the tablet without the bundle, they are sold out.

I ordered mine from gamestop last night but my friend ordered it a few days ago and already revived his.
I got mine from Gamestop. But make sure you back up those games they put on there. A soon a you upgrade to ICS, you will need to wipe everything, and will lose them! They told me everything would stay, but I couldn't connect to my home wifi until I wiped. I phoned Gamestop and they won't replace the games.
The extra price is for the game controller they send with it. Otherwise it is just $499.

i bought the TFP bundle on mon and received 9n thursday.
youll loose the games after ICS/wipe but its android. apps are easy to find for free.
i got the one with dock and gamepad'

I got all my stuff from gamestop an when i ugraded I didnt have to do a wipe. And i still have all my games. I dont understand why you guys are needing to wipe. I have not had problem one with mine.

wipe is highly recommended after new os install
the wipe made some issues go away in my gf's' tfp
but i did not do the wipe on mine and works 100%

I wish I did the backup first. I phoned Gamestop about getting the apps back, they were "unable" to help me. If you guys find a way to get them, please let me know!
I was just curious if the cracked screen issue while using the dock is still going on or was it fixed in a recent revision. I really have been wanting to get the dock but the threads I've read have been keeping me back. I have a c4 prime.

Thats what it seems like to me because the threads have been pretty much dead and im sure there would be plenty of people complaining if they were still cracking.

Have him contact Asus and keep complaining till they fix it free of charge or give a refund. Apparently they outsource their rma services and they are just bad. If they say its user damage keep pushing because its clearly a manufacturing defect.

You may receive a completely different tablet. I sent them a gray 64GB model in for RMA and received back a 32GB champagne model. It was eventually all cleared up, after a couple of months. This of course was a long time ago...so maybe the RMA process or system has gotten better?

Is there anyone who successfully return and refund the Asus Transformer Prime in Australia under manufacturer warranty? Please share if you have experience on it.
My Prime is now starting getting green camera, very weak wifi and bluetooth which were never happened before.

I thought that mine is nearly perfect, no problem at all but recently I have had some issue with Camera, Wifi. Now I am not to sure which part of Prime is failing next. It is usable, but so annoy. I am still waiting for Dev to has a way to unlock it after RMA I will sent it for RMA.

It's not permanent.
He means that if you pinch the area just below the camera (with your thumb against the screen) if solves the common green camera issue.
I just had my camera working for the first time in months by pinching HARD. It worked for a bit, then I changed modes and it went back to green screen. I would think that means I have a short. Has anyone taken apart their tablet and resecured the connection?
Yes, see my previous thread. Hint, you need a new camera module (eBay). No easy around it unfortunately . New camera (NEW, from the seller that got them from Foxconn/assembly line) DOES fix it though.

my camera turned green after 1 week of Jelly bean. About 7 months of use now. Bumps here and there but never a hard impact drop.
I really am skeptical of QC in Asus part. Mine was C2. Let's hope when I RMA it, I get a C3<
Just sent mine in for the green camera problem. I tried the Spock pinch method and it would clear it up but not completly. After a few pinches the camera has never worked again. I have another problem that I had to RMA and it was a good experience overall (execpt the fact that I didn't have my tablet for 10 days).

Do you have a functioning brain? You literally quoted the link I provided to you that explains exactly how to do it and asked "How do I fix it". Do yourself a favor, don't try. Go buy an iPad. They're designed for dense people who can't think for themselves or follow directions.
Grrr... my camera has just died too, and there I was thinking things were much better since the 4.1 upgrade.
Does anyone know how long it will take for an RMA repair in the UK?
I RMA'd for this exact problem and my tab came back absolutely fine. Just putting that out there.
