Return and refund the Prime in Australia? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Is there anyone who successfully return and refund the Asus Transformer Prime in Australia under manufacturer warranty? Please share if you have experience on it.
My Prime is now starting getting green camera, very weak wifi and bluetooth which were never happened before.

Same here, but I'm in New Zealand. Can we RMA our Prime and get a refund instead, then buy a tf700?

Is this a known problem? I have had my prime for 6mths now and no probs

I thought that mine is nearly perfect, no problem at all but recently I have had some issue with Camera, Wifi. Now I am not to sure which part of Prime is failing next. It is usable, but so annoy. I am still waiting for Dev to has a way to unlock it after RMA I will sent it for RMA.

Just go to nowinstock.net
It was easy to find my second prime for my wife.
Took a day of looking and I got an email for tiger direct having them in stock.
You dont have to sign up tho.. just go and click the transformer prime tracker they already have set up.

Amazing. Was only in stock for about 2 hours. Why is everyone still buying these when there clearly is a problem with the Wifi/BT system? I don't get it.
San Rafael CA Best Buy has a few TFP and docks in stock right now. Just got to ask them to dig as they are mixed in with the original Transformers.

No problem with my WiFi or Bluetooth and I would assume the vast majority are fine.

Warranty Exchange After Unlocking? Possible?

Hello,
I got my prime through craigslist a couple months ago and the microsd card reader on the tablet wasnt working. I thought i could live without it but i dont like using the dock all the time just for the microsd slot. I have rooted and unlocked my prime and was wondering if i relocked it and did a warranty exhange if asus would take it back??

there isn't a way to unlock it unfortunately. like the previous post said, try it! call them and see what happens
I'm curious too. Please post back it results.
I have been wary of unlocking because i don't want a hardware to defect to not be covered. If i brick my tablet or software crashes i can deal with it since it was my fault, but it would suck if a faulty hardware was cause for them to deny.

Question about cracked screens while docked

I was just curious if the cracked screen issue while using the dock is still going on or was it fixed in a recent revision. I really have been wanting to get the dock but the threads I've read have been keeping me back. I have a c4 prime.

I am also wondering this. It seems that it was a production problem so hopefully Asus fixed the problem

Thats what it seems like to me because the threads have been pretty much dead and im sure there would be plenty of people complaining if they were still cracking.

is there a way to replace the screen, if you have one that has been crack, as i have a friend who has one and it is gathering dust

Have him contact Asus and keep complaining till they fix it free of charge or give a refund. Apparently they outsource their rma services and they are just bad. If they say its user damage keep pushing because its clearly a manufacturing defect.

Primes having RMA

Is it true that whenever you'll receive your device from RMA you can't unlock it anymore? THANKS

You may receive a completely different tablet. I sent them a gray 64GB model in for RMA and received back a 32GB champagne model. It was eventually all cleared up, after a couple of months. This of course was a long time ago...so maybe the RMA process or system has gotten better?

I have now. Thanks. It makes me afraid to send my Prime in for repair. And it is questionable they can fix the crappy wifi. My one time calling support they did solve the minor problem, but the person was so unpleasant i hardly wanted to ever call back.

Sent it to RMA, my prime have been in 6 different european countries and when I finaly got it back I can confirm you that they must have done something with it'cause now I have a fully working gps/wifi and bluetooth. Try it maybe they found a way.

Until you install a jelly bean rom
I don't even know how 'reliable' that site is... Every major company (Dell, Apple, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, just to name a few) seems to have majority of negative comments and I personally know they aren't bad with their customer service. At least, not when I (or any friends / people I know) had to deal with them.
There are always more people ready to voice dissatifaction compared to those who are content with their purchases.

This. Ask yourselves: if you are satisfied with the company, do you search for a site to rate how great the RMA was?

Yep. This.
Search any company on there, Apple, Samsung etc and you will find the negatives are far higher than the positives. Move along, nothing to see here....

Asus has around 300 more reviews than Apple. So....why the comparison?
Every company i search for on this site has overwhelmingly negative feedback, amongst those are Newegg, Samsung and Lenovo all 3 of which have provided excellent customer service. I wouldnt trust that site at all.
