[Q] LwW-WT19i: What kernel does FXP116 CM9 require? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Using SE LwW WT19i. I'm using X Kernel by krizky82.
Flashed the FXP116 CM9 in CWM, and then rebooted the phone but wont boot up..
Do I have to flash a certain kernel that's compatible with the rom?

use the kernel inside the flashable zip file.
but for me the new kernel in the new FXP116 doesnt work, got stuck on booting. i'm using the old kernel from FXP115 and its still works fine with FXP116

yep you have to flash the kernel included in the zip file of the rom. cheers

CM9 stuck on boot screen after flashing dual speaker fix...
Okay so I got the CM9 to work, tried running first the FXP115 before flashing the FXP116 just to make a comparison.
Second after playing around with the FXP115, I now went inside CWM to flash the the dual speaker fix . Then rebooted the phone, now its getting stuck on the Cyanogen(Mod)9 boot animation screen...
Did the same thing for FXP116 and it never gets passed the CM9 boot animation screen... Dunno whats going on after applying the speaker fix

copy the contents of the fix to the original folders of the rom and then flash it, flashing it afterwards gives bootloops

it have update till 28.03.2012...
so when i install it...it come back to recovery...
im love ICS..
tq..please help me...
you have to choose one version, download and copy to your device
1. run recovery
2. wipe data, cache, dalvik
3. install zip from your device
4. reboot
i do step by step...still reboot recovery...
have u try it?
Did you install CWM? My buddy had the same problem with rebooting into recovery.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
I tried flashing it and it does indeed just reboot to recovery. Have no idea why.
What it actually does is sits at boot logo screen, then reboots to recovery, so it actually bootloops once into recovery each time you try to boot it up.

can i just take from cm9 source??
I got it booting using cm9 as base.
All you gotta do is delete app/framework from cm9 then push all app/framework of codename to see at least what the ui looks like and what options and features it has

rickriego replaced the bin/libs in the CNA zip with the ones from cm9 and posted a flashable zip over in the dev section for anyone interested.
I know there is a version using Jokersax's files but has anyone gotten it to work with Turl's files. The camera does not work with the newest jokersax as Rodriego uses, so I tried to use Turl's, and it just got stuck on the bootscreen. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I thought it would be pretty easy. I used winrar to move the folders to the cna rom zip but still stays on boot animation.
Thought I was going crazy bit other people could not make it work with turls1's files

No, the above WILL NOT WORK!!!
However, doing this will work:
get the nightly from
http://cna.exynos.co/olympus/
get the
beta 0.4.3
faux’s 1.0 kernel -outdated (ignore outdated, it´s the right one)
from
http://www.jokersax.com/developer-pages/jokersax/cyanogenmod-9-atrix/
get jokersax gapps v11
from
http://www.jokersax.com/developer-pages/jokersax/cm9-gapps/
in linux, using Q7Z, unzip the CNA nightly and replace the following folders by the ones from Joker´s beta 0.4.3:
bin
lib
xbin
Re-Zip. Be careful not to alter the zip structure or permissions.
In Recovery, flash your modded CNA.zip, THEN flash faux´s kernel, THEN flash gapps.
Enjoy

You need to install kernel and ROM both, this kernel is not compatible with stock ROM. Go to Recovery to install ROM.
can you give me the step by step explanation my friend?
because i ussualy flash the kernel first,
should i flash the rom first via cwm?
just flash the kernel, put the kamarush rom on your micro sd card, boot to cwm on the new kernel, wipe everything out, install zip and reboot to system that should do it.
If you Flashed Kamrush's kernel first then you'll have to flash his ROM. His ROM only works for 4.0.4. If you haven't put his ROM on your SD Card, ull need to put it on and flash it through CWM. But if you dont want ICS just flash someone else kernel and your phone should work again. Your choices are:
X kernel
Rage Kernel
Boof Kernel
Those work with 2.3.4
thanks but my problem is when i finished flash the kernel my phone do not booting into system after i flash the kernel,so i cant flash the rom via cwm
ok just press volume down several times on the sony logo until it takes you to cwm that is the way you enter to cwm in custom kernels
the sony logo did not appeare after flash the kernel...i try other kernel and works, but this kernel (rc3) did not works in my pnone
did you downloaded the right kernel?? this rom and kernel supports 4 devices.

Kernel is properly installed. You need to install the ROM via Recovery. Make sure the ROM .zip file is on the SDcard.
When screen gets brighter during starting, click Volume DOWN button many times until you enter the recovery. Then install zip from sdcard and choose it.
Try flashing the kernel manually using the terminal commands or update Flashtool (that might be your problem)

First I unlocked the bootloader, then rooted it, then installed CyanoGen ICS via the Aroma installer in CWM, I think I forgot to flash any kernel...
So when the installation was finished, it restarted, went to the Sony Ericsson logo and after that nothing, black screen

Then flash a CM compatible Kernel and then re-install the CM ROM..
CM ROMs won't work with Stock Kernel..
And since you said yo used Aroma to install the CM9 ROM, I presume it must be KRsH CM9 ROM.. If so, use the KRsH Kernel for that.
I flashed it and now it's fine

[Q] Boot loop

Hi guys,
Yesterday I finally got to instal a new ROM onto my phone. I've done this before so my phone was already rooted and had the bootloader unlocked. I decided t ogo with Cyanogenmod10. My build was 4.1.B.0.587. I used the tutorial on cyanogenmod wiki and done everything as was said, step by step. I wasn't sure if ClockworkMod would be installed with the rom, so I donwload x-tools and isntalled it form there. Once thaat was done I proceeded to installiion. Everything went fine up until getting into CWM. I am now stuck in a boot loop, constaltly showing the xpera free project logo, then the screen goes dark and this all over and over again. So I searched the net and forums, but couldn't find any one with this problem. Most people either get into CWM and from there can't get further, or they turned the phone on adn after using some application theirs system crashes, but nobody seems to have problems with CWM. I can't get anywhere from here and have no idea what to do. If somebody could please help me, I would be very gratefull! Thanks

WTF... So I charged my phone first so I reach the recommended 85%... Meanwhile I redownloaded the CM10 if it wasn't a bad downnload or something, from the original website. Once that was done, I turned my phone off, turned flashtool on a connected my phone in fastboot mode. I then flashed the kernel with boot.img from CM, unplugged and turned the phone off, waitign for the logo, pressed the volume down button many times and ntohing. I tried multiple times, different buttons too. Still the same. What can I be doing wrong?

When I have the phone flashed with stock kernel I can get into the CMW recovery. Trying to install CM with the stock kernel is i guess not a good idea right?
EDIT: So I tried downloading CW9 if that wouldn't make a difference, but it's the same story. Once I boot the phone it just keeps looping from the logo to black screen, no LED lights up, nothing. What if I did a factory reset either from CWM or in the normally booted? Could that help in anyway?

Hmmmm...how many times did i have to tell you, you need to FLASH STOCK ROM first...stock rom has stock kernel inside it...flashing STOCK rom will factory reset your phone...it should make your phone like new...after your phone boot normally then you can flash custom kernel (fxp kernel) and boot into recovery using that kernel...then only then you can flash CM10 into your phone....

probably bcuz u used CWM located in phone storage & deleted it. happens.
to shorten here all, i advice u to use allways kernels (built in) recovery. (forget about xparts its onlx for locked bl ppl)
also if u want to go for a cm (10+) build try LX from here bcuz FXP is NO longer supported! they kleave us. also its very outdated/old/bad
if u flash (any) kernel CWM is inbuilt, so just reflash the kernel using fastboot (cmd commands) , then on power on press the vol up button moretimes!! to enter CWM (must work) i really advice u to use some LX build. (dont forget to wipe partitions bfore flash)

Okay guys, I'm really confused right now. I just couldn't manage to boot into CWM with CM, I tried many versions, none worked. I then applied the exact same steps onto LX and it worked perfectly, I was in CWM after pressing the volume down butto na few times. Now it's been almost a month since I did this and I wanted to change to a differet version again, so I wanted to try CM again, but it's the same thing, I can't get to CWM. Any ideas?
Thanks

MM reboot loop .570

Hi,
I have the reboot loop after flashing any of the .570 rom. I have tried the flashable zip from one thread and have also tried a couple of FTFs with APP Log and UserData wipe selected.
Does anyone know why this isn't working on my phone? I have a regular 4G Z2 with a locked BL.
Thanks,

I don't know BUT today he make the new one with the latest version 570 with this fix bootloop I can try and enjoy MM rom .
I saw this, I have now flashed the ultraslim rom and the .570 fix instead.
What is the bootloop like? I have bootloop after flash the 570 made from a tft. It shows the SONY logo and then black screen for seconds then auto reboot. I'll try that bootloop fix zip tomorrow. Hope that will work.
My bootloop consisted of the ROM booting but as soon as you touched the screen to check a box or unlock the screen it would restart. The fix by niaboc works as I've applied it on the ultraslim ROM, now using the latest kernel and latest ROM!
To fix the bootloop, have to flash via recovery.
Then how I enter the recovery while this handheld keep restart at welcome screen.thanks for ur respons
Touch the screen and hold volume down! If you've installed a ROM without recovery then you'll have to reflash a ftf and start again
