Does anyone know if Google Wallet can be used on AT&T's Galaxy Note? I have the NFC chip enabled and Google Wallet is installed but something - I'm guessing AT&T - is blocking it... Is there any way to get this running?
Alternatively, if Google Wallet cannot be run, does anyone know where to get a version of the ISIS (PayWithISIS) Mobile Wallet? They were testing it at SXSW and both TX and UT are test markets. Just wondering if anyone knows where to get the apk.
Thanks
Does any one have working Google Wallet for AT&T Galaxy Note?
If yes please let me know..
Yah our Note is not yet being supported for GW. My guess is that we will have to wait once the official ICS OTA is out from at&t.

Are you rooted? In that case it won't work. I also read we're missing a "secure element" chip, whatever that is. At&t basically set it so you will have to go through their Isis system... or so I've read

Google Wallet has not been enabled for the AT&T version and probably won't be in the future either.

I thought even though the device has nfc, it is disabled by at&t. So is it working if there is a software to use?
Well Found this on PlayStore but guess what phone is incompatible with the app?
Any takers?

Tried the usual method of using Market Enabler to download Google Wallet and then trying to launch the application. But it won't play nice and I can't even get into the application. The process worked on my SGN
Anyone else had any luck? If so, how?
Thanks in advance
nope i get the error
unfortunately google wallet has not yet been certified in your country
have you had any luck?
No luck on my Galaxy Nexus, Same error: unfortunately google wallet has not yet been certified in your country
www.modaco.com/topic/354635-region-device-root-patched-google-wallet-apk-11-r67-v12/ works for me in Brisbane.
I used this method and got it installed, but seems to be an old version?
Thought you could now add Visa cards?
I don't have mastercard.
Latest version isn't available on modaco yet.
Note that you can't add a Visa or Mastercard with a non USA billing address and expect it to work. Not sure about American Express.

Did you use the top method to top up?
I've got a US unlocked Visa card set up. Haven't used it yet.
Works for me in Sydney - but I didn't get the free $10.
And where can you use these in Australia?
I know people have asked questions similar to this before, but all of those threads seem to be from a while ago.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to get google wallet? We have NFC, why can't we use it?
Is there any other option to pay with NFC?
Thanks
Both Google and VZW say it's not our fault or we don't know, I asked a rep why they listed Google wallet as an advantage of having a smart phone but it wasn't offered and I got a non answer.
For other NFC VZW is part of IRIS which just launched but only in Salt Lake City and maybe one other place and it should be active on Inc 4G's there I think, it was part of the last update.

Isis tells me my device isn't comparable, I got the otb update at the beginning of the month. But it says I might need a new SIM card for it to work.
For anyone who wants to store gift cards like on google wallet or apple passbook, pass wallet does a great job.

You will need a new SIM, there is an encryption method used by Isis stored on the SIM.
I just downloaded google wallet and added my debit card. Is it really as simple as just enabling NFC and tapping and paying? I've never used it before.
Mods: please move to Q/A. Wasnt paying attention when I posted.

I'm pretty sure this is blocked on Verizon.
Really? Why would you say that when NFC works with everything else?

I used it 2 times on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I got it to work at one McDonald, but it wouldn't at another one. You'll need to find places that will accept Google Wallet. One app I use to find those places is MasterCard PayPass Locator.

It was blocked on the Note 2 also but there were work arounds to get it working by editing build.prop to mimic a Galaxy Nexus (only Verizon phone that wallet is allowed on AFAIK). I still have Wallet working on my Note 2 with this hack and used it quite frequently but it requires root of course.
Once we get root on Note 3 I imagine it won't be long before we'll get a Wallet thread with a work around.
Was reading new features offered on Kit Kat, and it mentioned wallet, so I went to google play and google wallet pops up on my T-mobile HTC One. I thought due to security reason T-mobile could not use wallet but Sprint, but it is nice to see wallet can be installed on our phone now. Sharing this info if you haven't tried it yet.
Google Wallet is available on all android devices now. BUT you can not use it to pay for stuff at point of service locations using NFC. That part of the secure element is still being blocked by the carriers.
Google Wallet will let you do other stuff besides just pay at a POS machine. But i dont know what they are. I think you can send money to someone, and check your google play transactions.
That's either not accurate or I'm just lucky because I specifically went with a ported ROM at first to get TAP working again and with the stock 4.4.2 update I can still use TAP. I believe Google bypassed those secure element restrictions previously offered only by Sprint devices so we can all use it. I came from Sprint and used Wallet for over a year and I was pissed when I learned there was nothing I could do till KK because available.

When I looked a few days ago, Google's list of phones that can tap to pay includes only the Sprint version of the One.

It installed on my TMO HTC One, although I haven't done more than just open it and look around.
Actually to clear up a few things as of android 4.4 and above all devices with NFC can use google wallet just fine including tap and pay. Google wallet no longer requires the secure element as before it's all emulated now. I been using it for a few months now on my htc one from tmobile.

Feel free to give us more info. Or instructions.
I have a stock HTC One, Stock Note 3 Both TMO and Nexus 5.
The Nexus 5 Wallet app allows me to pay via tap and pay using the wallet app. However the other 2 devices allow me to load the app but NOT use it for tap and pay.

the Note 3 wont be able to use the tap and pay feature because they are using a different NFC chip as the nexus 5 and HTC Ones. once google integrates it with KK, then it should be able to work.
the TMO htc one does work as i tried it when i converted it to GPE.

Well there you go. Your NOT using a T-Mobile HTC One with Wallet.
When you converted it to the GPe you got rid of the T-Mobile blocking software, and its NO longer a T-Mobile HTC One. It is now a Google Play Edition HTC One and that unit does work with tap and pay with Google Wallet.
So back to my original statement. The T-Mobile HTC One can not use tap and pay with Google Wallet. Its still a true statement.
I think your wrong still, I work for T-Mobile and I updated and installed KK on our demo unit. Tap and pay is in fact confirmed to be working.

Interesting.
I wiped my cache from the recovery and enabled NFC again and NOW google wallet does give me the option to use Tap and Pay. But only on the HTC One.. The Note 3 still has it blocked.. Very cool. So now my Nexus 5 and HTC One can do it..
I cant argue anymore. Now i can agree it does work (at least now its giving me an option to use it like its supposed to). Ill test it out as soon as i go to a place that uses it.
