[Q] Help reverting back to stock ROM - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello XDA community,
So I need help getting my atrix back to its original state. I bought the Atrix when it first came out, and I rooted it right away. Well I found out that wasn't such a great idea because the first root had some problems(For some reason when I gave my the atrix to a family member and took his free upgrade it will no longer let me send texts), I should have waited a month for the fixed root. So I need help on how I can get rid of the root, and get back my original ROM. I think I have a backup of the phone when I first started and here are my current atrix specs:
Current build number: 4.1.2.6
Android version: 2.2.1
Baseband version: N_01.77.05P
Webtop version: OSHWT_U1_4.257.14
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
Current Rom: AdeoInstallerv0.1
Sorry if I am getting something mixed up, kinda a noob at all of this.

If you have not unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom ROM, you just need to unroot it. Try using Pete's Motorola Root Tools to unroot.

Thanks.... But I do have a custom ROM installed, I said it was AdeoInstallerv0.1 and I need to know how to get rid of that. It was the first release for the Atrix and its no longer around because of the problems it had. The reason I haven't just gotten rid of it with a backup is because the people who made the first it messed it up some how and I don't want to have a chance of bricking my phone while removing it.
Can I install Clockwork for that ROM to get rid of it?

If I understand this correctly:
1. Adeo was from the times when the bootloader was NOT yet unlocked, which means you still have a LOCKED bootloader.
2. It only works on STOCK 4.1.2.6.
3. In that case, you have to flash stock 4.1.2.6 sbf to return to stock.

[Q] Help get me back to stock from adeo please

I only know enough to get me in trouble. I rooted, then got the adeo rom on my Atrix 4 G but now have received the update which I would like to update to. I know that I did the adeo rom correctly because it gives the options to reboot and recovery. I don't have superuser on it anymore so I guess that means I am no longer rooted? I have tried to search for the answer to my own question but I have not had much luck.
I am currently running:
Android version 2.2.1,
System version 4.1.26.MB860
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9
Please let me know if you can help.
flash 1.2.6 sbf

[Q] Purchased use Atrix with mods, need to go to stock for repair, help?

Hi all, new to the forum and I need some HELP!
I recently purchased a used Atrix 4G and need to get it back to stock for a repair by Motorola.
It is unlocked (when it boots it says unlocked) and running:
System: 4 . 5 . 91
Android: 2 . 3 . 4
Build number: Alien #4
I don't know much else about the phone mods or what the original owner did to it, so I'm trying to figure out the best (safest) way to get back to as close to stock (or something Motorola will not raise an issue with) as I can. Any help is appreciated!

I'am not really sure but in all post I've read, there is no way for now to "Relock" your phone... Pretty sure it will stay with the "Unlock" label when booting...
Google is your friend.... Good Luck!
Flashing a FroYo .sbf can do one of two things
1.Remove the unlock text
OR
2.Brick your phone
I know motoservice in my country is preety slack, I sent in a unlocked phone and they returned it back to me, fixed and still unlocked lols...
But really, it depends on your luck.
If im not mistaken, flashing the stock GINGERBREAD Sbf will relock your bootloader. Atleast it has for me in the past. However be careful as any other Sbf besides that will hard brick your device. So make sure its gingerbread sbf and not froyo.

Root my LG Optimus S LS670?

I have a To Root my LG Optimus S LS670, its a plain one.
Here's my information:
Model Number: LS670
Android Version: 2.3.3
Baseband Version: LS670MVJ_6150
How do I root it?
It's been upgraded by LG already to 2.3.3, and I can't find anyway to root it.
SuperOneClick, GingerBreak or this.
Luck!!
I have this phone and gingerbreak worked then the next week the phone updated and i cannot get it to root now.
hheeeelllppppppp!!
Yea I can't get this phone to root when it's been updated to the LS670MVJ baseband every root method I can find is for the older baseband versions
http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg...9-how-automated-rooting-ls670zvd-zvh-zvj.html
This thread should help, I had to downgrade to ZVH using stock recovery, then use the optiauto CLI tool to root and install Xionia CWMA recovery. Root, radio and gingerbread works, but radio flashed with a Froyo downgrade is not legacy compatible with ZVJ. It's worth noting that while CM7.2 or 9 can be flashed from Xionia, you shouldn't do this before having all necessary files/drivers from the froyo, gingerbread and cm9 images, and CM9 flashed LS670s cannot be activated on Sprint.

I cannot go into too much detail since I spent hours on it and forgot and renamed a lot of stuff.

Hey, so I just got an LS670 (LG Optimus S) from a friend to replace my current phone. Not sure how it will go since I have an old SERO account.
Anyways, I had some time off and would recommend to you update flashing your baseband to ZVH. Turn on usb debugging from the applications/development from settings and use stay awake option.Use Sons Of Korhal 1.0.1 to root it. Update to ZVJ using its appropriate update.zip. Then use OptiAuto (aka OptiAuto-sfx) if its the new enough version will allow you to root the zvj baseband. Some of these files are hard to find, took me 3 hours total in trial and error.
This page helped a lot: forums.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-rooting-roms-hacks/119130-how-manual-rooting-ls670zvh-zvj-links-root-zvd-zv9.html
and this one: forums.androidcentral.com/lg-optimus-s-rooting-roms-hacks/131297-how-rooting-ls670zvd-zvh-100-automated-zvj-automated.html
optiauto for windows might be this one, you'll need it: mediafire.com/download/dsblck8764079q0/optiauto-sfx.exe

Flashing a System.img File onto my Photon From Another Photon

Hello Everyone, I have a question that might be a bit of a noob question.
Can I take a NANDROID back up from one photon (namely the System.img file) and flash it onto a different photon?
The reason I ask this is because the last time I bricked my photon I was unable to SBF back no matter what version I used. I tried everything and I eventually stumbled upon this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798145 and was able to get my phone running again. However, my phone runs like absolute CRAP now. Its really embarassing when people see my phone struggle.
My brother has a photon too. Unrooted untouched fresh. I was hoping if i rooted his phone and made a NANDROID back up I could take the files and flash it onto mine and get back to a point where I atleast have a phone that works reasonably well.
Thank you,
-Jeff
What are you running now? System version, etc, etc.
And please look at the rules for posting. The development forum is not the place to be asking questions.

Imho, you'll be far better off flashing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837757
Doing a nandroid restore probably works, but you really need to do that from the bootstrap recovery mod (again, imho).
Just go to the thread above, and if you have further questions, post there. I'll pick up any questions as I see them. If you're wondering, I use the SLIM ROm on my phone, Mof's work is beyond merely good.
Thank you tdhite. This ROM is the only one ive been able to flash!!! My phone is running much better

Samsung-SM-J320V Root

So i am trying to root my verison J320 phone, and im having a couple issues, for one i cannot find a stock rom with the correct build number, always has a PP in the middle or doesnt end with PL1, so i am uncertain what stock rom will be safe to grab, and i dont want to experiment with rooting it to much untill i have a solid stock rom, i found one that might be correct but it was a zip folder and i p much have to work with odin. any rate if anyone could provide me with a link to the correct stock rom that would be awesome, also if anyone knows a posible root option for this that would be nice, have tried king and kingo root both PC and Android version, havent even wasted my time trying framaroot because it has never worked for any phone i have ever owned, i found a CF autoroot for the SM-J320R4, but again not really wanting to gamble on that working untill i at least have a solid stock rom for backup
No heckling about me being stupid enough to buy a verison phone when i basically require root, i know it was stupid, i live in an area where verison is the only reliable carrier so my options are VERY limited here, i have been using phones with no signal in half the places i go for a year and im sick of it, so i want to make this bastard work.
i dont mind custom OS, hell i love custom OS, so that is also an option, my bootloader is locked so odin only please, any workarounds to unlock my bootloader and possibly get rid of knox will also be gladly accepted but unless someone can find me that stock rom i am not gonna test to much as i still owe like... 180$ on this phone

Got it installed, made a call, and worked with T-Mobile. Then went to bed at night and when i woke up it asked to install an update and I hit install. After that it hasn't been able to make any more calls. I did only test that one call. So not entirely sure the update is to blame.
