[Q] Not Compatible apps? - Motorola Droid X2

Hey guys was wondering why I go to install apps I previously had and market says that their not compatible with my device. (flixter) Why is this, is it because im rooted.

When you change the density of your display this can happen...this is the only time I ever had an issue with apps saying they are no longer compatible
Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium

Damn im an idiot you guys are right I did change the LCD density and the vm heap! That could also be the reason I can't do an ota update?
(Edit) put LCD back to stock but still no flixter. Not compatible huh

If you back up your info, then sbf to 2.3.4 download your apps, then use titanium to back them up you won't have any issues no matter what ROM your on.

[Q] GB- No TV off animation?

All animations are turned on. I'm a little disappointed that this doesn't have the same animations or screen off effect as the DROID 3. Unless I'm missing something...
yeah i thought that was a nifty little feature that got left out =(
nothing to die over atleast
Yeah they left that out . Hell even the Atrix got it! We didn't get the "latest" blur either. But I'm used to disappointment after being with VZW for years.
Would this work on the x2?

Will this exact file work? No, this is a frame work patch for the X, which is very different on the X2.
Will the method used to create the framework patch work? Probably, someone just needs to dig in to the code and try it out.

Aren't there a few custom launchers that have this effect built in?

Why not head over to the xda Bionic forum yourself and ask a user to upload it somewhere?
EDITED FOR UNNECESSARY RUDENESS
I will not be home until tomorrow, but if you still need it then I can upload it for you.

I think the point L2 was making is that it would be just as easy for you to do as it would be fore someone else.

They might FC like mad but shouldn't kill it completely. Make sure you backup everything and don't go deleting things right off the bat and you should do just fine!

Rename your current camera to camera.bak, push this to system.app, change permissions. Reboot. I'll go do it now...

It got nowhere, just force closed no matter what they tried
I bet we need something in the kernel for it

Back and home keys switched- help

I recently installed swapper2 on my MX2, and now my home and back keys are switched. Can anyone help me..

Bump. I mucked with the advanced settings. Could this problem be within mmcblk0p3, because I played with that setting in swapper2? Please help.

Thank you for the suggestion Imgburn, unfortunately switching out my tegra keylayout file didn't work. I compared those files before I posted my topic and they were identical. I tried switching them out anyways, but still no go. TY for taking the time to try to help me .

Sorry I thought Swapper 2 was something else. I just checked it out
sound's like it could be a useful apk. Anyway have you tried contacting

Are you using any ROM on your phone? If so, try flashing the ROM again so it will reset your system files. If not, then I dont know.
Imgburn- actually I haven't, but I could give it a try.
Sent from my Milestone X2 using xda premium
Nope, unfortunately my rom is pure blur, however I do have a rom backup...I'll update the sys files using it. Lol....don't ask m

Update-i have restored my phone using a older backup. I used tenfars recovery and restored the entire system. My keys are still switched. HELP!
Sent from my Milestone X2 using xda premium
Wow....smack.....the answer was simple. I figured it out. No wonder some of you guys here on the forums don't answer some of the questions asked, because the answers are usually straightforward and simple. Fix-I went into root explorer, and changed the Tegra.kl file manually. I set home from 102 to 158, and back from 158 to 102. However, I still don't understand why my restore didn't revert this because my backup was made long before that file got altered to begin with.

You can't roll back because the boot loader has changed, you will brick if you try to roll back from the ota to 2.3.6

No... you can not. You will brick. New bootloader for ICS guarantees this.
Time to call verizon and get a refurb.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda app-developers app
I'm bummed about ICS, too.
I did the update and headphone jack no longer is recognized. I use it everyday in my car. It's not lint in the port.
Anyone have ideas about a fix? I'd rather not root, but I'm on the road enough that I can't go on a trip without Pandora out the headphone jack in the aux port of my car...
Thanks,
Chris
UPDATE: Called Verizon and they immediately sent out a replacement. It was a refurb, but you couldn't tell at all. "Refurbs" are probably products that had the original retail boxes damaged. New phone is on 2.3.6... not sure I'm going to update again.
