DXROM (Dian Xin rom) is developed by a Chinese Company (similar to MIUI). It is styled between CM7 and MIUI.
The official site: http://www.dianxinos.com/?lang=en
Forum: http://bbs.dianxinos.com/forum.php
This rom is ported using DXROM for N1 12031517, CM7, NT Stock 1.4.1 and Succulent's Kernel
Credits:
1. Succulent - for the kernel
2. CM7 and DXROM Teams - for the base roms
3. Team B - Goncezilla, CeltiWebSolutions & Indirect - for starting it first which provides a great reference
4. All NT Developers for root, hacks, CWM, guides ...
5. Me - for porting the rom

2. Boot into CWM and do a backup of your current rom
3. Flash the rom
4. Do a factory reset
5. Reboot
Workings:
- Pretty much everything as Team B's CM7
Not working / Bugs:
- Button Savior will cause FC - so I use zMooth instead
- please report
Notes:
1. The rom is from China. So some of the apps may have Chinese characters.
2. Do not ask me for language pack as I don't know how. If somebody wants to do it I'd appreciate very much.
3. I may not be online very often due to my busy work schedule, So please help each other. Especially to the newcomers.

Looks like I'm the first too try.Impostor my findings if any.thank-you.
Is there a way to run this from the SDcard? Thanks.
I'm gonna try this, although it may take a lil while due to the fact that I'm in school right now. Screw studies there's a new NT ROM out!

Well, I'm back on cm9 because about every 3 minutes or so it would kick my out to the boot sequence. I kept trying to download the LCD density modder to fix the screen density from hdpi to mdpi, but I couldn't due to the frequent crashes. I dunno if this is just me and I botched the install somehow or if this ROM is still extremely alpha. If these are routine problems id recommed putting "WIP" or "devs only" in the thread name. Just IMO. Hope this is just a problem with my install.

First install caused boot loops but after wiping everything once more and flashing again it booted, no problem. Excellent build everything works great. I do with button Savior worked though. Thanks

Make sure you do a factory reset after flashing the rom. And don't restore data from cm9 using TitaniumBackup.

I have problem playing hd video on youtube with miui. Still can't find a solution. That keeps me from releasing an update
Other than that everything is working fine though.
Hi, will it work on a 8Gb Tablet or it's just for 16Gb?

Will this upcoming update of MIUI include the HW accelerations that Team B have been able to achieve?

The rom should work but the kernel is for 16g only. You need to mod it (change the irboot) for it to work on 8g.

I recently flashed Galaxy Captivate with Dark knight ROM v5.5. Everything went well and then I installed latest GApps (20120429). All other Google Apps works except GTalk. If I try to install it via adb it gives error like 'INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES'. Does anybody have any idea how to solve this??

WANTED: Users to port SGS roms to the 4.0. You will need to know how to complete a full restore if something goes wrong, but that's it. I cannot go through the forums searching for good SGS roms, as I have several threads to manage, and a rom to work on. The steps are easy for you though, and if you port a rom I will add it in the OP.
First of all, I want to say that I take NO credit on any of these roms. All I did was port them over and add speed tweaks, or added ones that users have ported. If the rom creators or mods have any issue whatsoever with this thread, I will happily take it down, even though I think it would be a large contribution to the 4.0 community. I will continue to update this forum with info as I go along.
I, after a fortunate afternoon of boredom, have managed to successfully begin porting I9000 roms to our devices! Fortunately, they are similar enough that it boots without any modifications. I will put up here any ports that I make, and any that the users create. Note that these WILL NOT BE UPDATED! These are one-time ports, to be used and improved upon by the community. Anything that is broken now will stay broken, unless a user decides to fix/update it, then I will include it in the OP.
What *should* work in all ported roms:
wifi
GPS
home buttons
everything else
What will probably *not* work on ported roms:
Bluetooth
Camera
backlight on buttons
Ported roms:
~GamerzRom odexed V11-~

Added:
V6 supercharger, and build.prop tweaks from it.
init.d tweaks from my rom

Auto zipalign and Database optimize
Removed apps that do not work on our Player (such as the Dialer)

To use these Roms:
You MUST use a Gplayer kernel! GT-I9000 kernels will not boot!
A full wipe may be necessary with some roms if you encounter issues.
Converting (for porters)
Steps:
1. Download wanted rom (must be GB)
2.Move the zip to the internal sdcard
3.Reboot into recovery
4.Flash zip, then boot into download mode
5.Flash a SGP kernel
6. apply my mod pack to the rom, by either copying/pasting the system directory over the SGS rom's system directory, or by pushing it via adb, (eg. adb push /path/to/modpack /system).
7. Profit!
NOTE: after applying this, porters may want to remove non-working packages such as the dialer and mms, as they may cause issues with the end result if they are kept in. Do not delete phone.apk though!! This is required for the camera and some other things, and breaks stuff on certain roms. You have been warned.
NOTE: If you use this modpack, please give me credit, and link back to this thread so that more people can use it. Also, you should probably link back to the ported rom's thread as well, to avoid "ripping off" those devs.
Modpack:
Changelog
V1-
Preliminary release
Fixes wifi and GPS
Includes v6 supercharger and init.d tweaks
V2-
fixed vold.fstab so sdcard is mounted properly.
Download:
ModpackV1:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?diaq6im4i18ktf7
NOTE:Note that this is preliminary. It fixes everything listed, and attempts to fix some broken things. Your mileage may vary. This is not a cwm flashable zip! you much extract and adb push this over the existing system directory. This is mainly intended for porters, so users apply at your own risk. This will work, but is a very early release.

Yeah, it says that because it includes semaphore's kernel, which raises the max rom to 380, which we could do on our kernel's, but apparently that breaks a lot of stuff if you go much further then 350 (according to klin).
is the wifi fixed in your port or do we have to do your fix after flashing?
Just a word of advice, make sure you get permission from the devs! Also surely this will work with ICS roms right? Just swap out the SGS kernel with the SGP CM7 kernel and it should work (I think)

Yeah, it is fixed before you flash. Once I manage to iron out a few more bugs, I will probably release a "conversion pack" that fixes all the issues. I already have one that fixes wifi and gps, but bluetooth and camera have me stumped, and I do not want to replace the entire hw/lib folder, because some of these roms have lib optimizations, but I may have to.

Since I am merely redistributing their work, not incorporaring it into anything I have made, or taking any credit for it, I don't asking permission is necessary. I may be completely off base, but I think that as long as you give devs 100% credit, and link to their original work, it is okay. It may not be the best option, but neither is asking EVERY dev if I can port their rom, or ask permission for user-ported roms.
Youay have an idea there, althouh I think that zaclimon has tried it, and he said it wouldn't boot. I have 2 efs backups, so I guess I can try, although even if the kernel boots, I bet I will have to do a LOT more work before it is usable. I also believe that he said the issues may have been rom based, so here it goes, and wish me luck.

Whoops, I meant you . I will try with a official cm9 build from the SGS forums, and see if that fares any better. Probably will not, but it doesn't hurt to try.
EDIT: well, nevermind about that. He seems to have pulled all of his download links, and I cannot get to the CM7 build. Oh well...
I am going to try anyway with the I9000 package since it seems to have EXT4 support, and I *think* that was what was bootlooping me earlier. This as all just my hopeful rationalization, of course . A lot farther out there, but maybe I can use a SGP5.0 kernel to get it booting. A LOT less likely, but hey, i'm experimenting .
EDIT: I cannot try ICS, since I need to reboot into recovery a second time, and I cannot do that, as I have the intl bootloader on my US device, and it would require it to be booting first.

I think we should do like entrophy's because I get bored from mtd. Also just tried the gamerz rom port. As I see the camera works, don't know about bluetooth (it can turn on). Vibration works too. I was able to connect to wifi pretty fast and I have one word for this rom. FAST!!!!
Good job!!

Well, thet camera shows a preview, but fails when a pic is taken, for some reason. Bluetooth does turn on, but is not seen by any other devices, and cannot scan for others either. I did do a little tweaking with Gamerz, so it will be even faster than it was already, which is pretty blazing! I have 2 more that I can put up (I have a preliminary package that I just adb push over the system files that works for now). I have also gotten the camera apk onto my rom, and it works really well! It doesn't take 5 MP pics, or record 720p video (which may be because I am using Terrasilent, which reduces the amount of Vram the system can have), but tap to autofocus and everything else works pretty well. I have a sneaking suspicion that the camera is soft limited, not hard-limited.
I also noted that the external sd card isn't working too (a problem with vold.fstab I'll correct it right now)

Okay, it seems that the zip hosed my partitions (converted them to yaffs2 and mtd), so I am going to perform a full restore, and just keep porting GB roms. As soon as you can get the usb gadget driver working, zaclimon, I guess I can keep working on it, but for now I will just keep to GB.
Two more roms up! I will probably not port any other unless I see an especially good one, but I will put up my mod pack tomorrow.
has anyone found out if the ported roms enable tv out or has someone found out if tv out support is in the i9000 kernal?
TV out has to have hardware, or your not going anywhere. I think the galaxy player lacks the hardware unfortunately. If it does have the hardware, it was very dumb of Samsung not to enable it.

Welcome! I used this: http://liliputing.com/2012/01/how-...-on-the-hp-touchpad-cyanogenmod-9-alpha.html . You don't need to install CM7 first. I would recommend the latest CM9 nightly, since I found that the last alpha's wifi can be temperamental. The nightlies are pretty stable. OaT also has a good stable one.

Thanks bro I really appreciated it, just one quick question ... this is a brand new touchpad... with 3.0.5 on it... If i wanted to install any ICS rom on it, are those all the files I need, from what I understand I need to get the novacom drivers, install novacomdrivers, place the acme installer in there, then mount my TP, create the cminstall folder, then copy the CWM file, the rom, and the moboot in this folder. and then follow instructions? Is that okay? is that it? the thing that is bugging me the most is that I'm not sure if I have to install the acmeinstaller1 first and then ugprade to acmeinstaller2, and if the rom I put there first has to be a CM rom or can it be any other
That sounds good. Acmeinstaller2 is fine, I believe. Any ROM is okay, it doesn't have to be CM.
Acmeinstaller (including V2) assumes the ROM and CWM zip filenames start with 'update-' and you may need to rename the files in the cminstall folder otherwise the Installer won't process them.

Correct, just AcmeInstaller2
To install CM9 on a new touchpad you'll need acmeinstaller2, Moboot for choosing the OS you want to boot when powering on your tablet, gapps for Google apps, and clockworkmod for backups and flashing things in the future.
I recommend following reverend Kyle's videos on YouTube. Look for his CM9 alpha 2 videos where he installs with acmeinstaller2
I'm running the latest nightly and it works great (smoother than alpha 2 and vibration/microphone works!)
Hi.
I just got my GTab 7510 Wifi Only.
I'd like to install a CustomRom. On my Galaxy Nexus the Rubik ROM - PA with Linaro is working quite excellent.
As far as I have seen, there is no PA for the GTab.
Could you give me some hints, which (JB or not JB) Roms are good and well compiled and which to sort out?
Thank you
There is PA for galaxy tab. @kasper_h compiled it for us, but its currently in alpha stage. If you want to try it out, its in the development section. As for which ROM is the best, try them yourself. Everyone of them are great ROMs. Good luck.

Ive been running some 4.2.2 ROM's but just yesterday I flashed this one..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055062
It's an ICS ROM so you may not get all the bells and whistles as an AOKP 4.2.2 but my opinion is this one is extremely smooth. The JB ROM's Ive tried were nice but didnt seem to be as smooth. Just my opinion
I'm running CM 10.1 on my tab and it's pretty good so far, but there are a few glitches, such as google now not working properly unless you uninstall the updates. Kind of a bummer, but I have google now on my phone so its not a huge deal. Other than that it's fairly smooth, a little glitchy here and there, but it doesn't bother me.
Prior to this I had CM 10 loaded on there and that was very smooth with no glitches whatsoever, but it doesn't have some of the features that 10.1 has obviously.

I then heard that the wingray gapps have a working google now even when updating the app, so I completely wiped my system and installed the wingray gapps along with reflashing cm 10.1. For whatever reason, google now still doesnt seem to be working.
If I did something wrong, or if you know of a different gapps that does work please let me know. I would really like to have a fully functioning gapps, and it would certainly benefit the OP as well

Hmm maybe you do...
I completely wiped my tab (partition, cache, dalvik), flashed the June 16th nightly of CM 10.1 along with your gapps, and google search/now STILL doesn't work after I updated the app, it keeps force closing.
If you have any light to shed on why this doesn't work, let me know.
Thanks for the answers :fingers-crossed: :good:
I have installed Carbon from kaspar right now, but I must say... I am a bit disappointed.
It is a little ... not-snappy (don't know how to express that)
Could you tell me the difference between Infamous 4.0.4 and Carbon 4.2?
Both seem to have the same kernel, but the difference between 404 and 42?

Well...Kasper did say that carbon is still in alpha stage. There is a sh*tload of difference between infamous and carbon. Infamous is touchwiz based, carbon is aosp based. The kernel is different. The Infamous kernel is an older version of Mackay kernel, carbon uses the latest Mackay kernel by Kasper.

Hi @eushaun99 , could I ask if you know the difference between the Infamous AOKP (JB) and Carbon (now currently in Beta). I'm now on Carbon Beta with my p7500. I was previously on CM10.1 and I do find Carbon less laggy than CM10.1..the nightly I was on previously was very laggy in fact. But currently my GPS doesn't seem to work..or takes ages to get a fix on Carbon. Same problem on the previous CM10.1 also. Any chance it works better on Infamous AOKP?

Infamous AOKP is AOKP-based. Carbon is actually a mixture of CyanogenMod, AOKP and ParanoidAndroid. So in Carbon you get all the special features from all 3 ROMs. For your GPS problem, I honestly don't know.

@eushaun99 Thanks so much! I hope you don't mind me asking you more qns:
1) What rom are you using now for p7500? Why did you pick that rom in the end?
2) I realise now that I didn't do a full clean install. I did not format system under "mounts and storage". Can I check with you, where do I save the rom zip and the gapps zip so that it's safe even when I do the wipe data and format system.Currently I put the rom zip and gapps zip into the sdcard folder which is in / (which I understand refers to my internal sd). What folder does format system clean? Is it just the "system" folder?
thanks in advance!

1) I'm using InfamousAOKP right now. For me, its one of the best ROM available for our tab. Smooth, silky, great battery life. Also I love the fact that AOKP has an option for a dark-themed ROM. Makes my keyboard look so damn nice.
2) The downloaded files will be stored in /data/media which is symlinked to /sdcard, not /. If you format system, only /system will be wiped. If you format data, everything in /data will be wiped except /data/media, so don't worry.

I just flashed to Infamous AOKP last night. It was a clean flash with system wipe and factory reset but I now get a System UIDs do not match error when booting up. It still manages to get to home screen once I click "I'm feeling lucky" (which is the only option when the error msg pops up anyway). But my GPS is still not working. It wasn't working properly on Carbon rom either (took ages to detect and kept losing signal) or CM 10.1.
