Discovered yet another wonderful deal on my 2nd favorite site lol
OneSaleADay.com
Heres the link - http://1saleaday.com/wireless/
Like I said, deal's only good for today!
+$5 shipping so $20
Thanks! Purchased one, and soon it will be in my phone!
I saw alot of bad reviews about this site, be careful
You do realize that class 4 has a MAXIMUM transfer rate of 4MB/s, right? That means that under the absolute best circumstances that it will take 2.2 hours to fill it up or to read all of the data.
But in real world experience, a class 4 that I had a couple of years ago would routinely take 25 minutes for a 4GB video to copy to it.
Just spend a little bit extra and get something that you won't want to throw across the room, well at least not as often.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ... 600006209 600082443&IsNodeId=1&name=Class 10
I just bought one, let's pray I successfully receive it, and then I don't want to throw it across the room.
It would be very hard to find.
Seriously though, 32 gigs for 20 bucks ain't bad in my opinion, even if it's slow. Just start your super 32G file transfer before bed!
Finally will be able to have a good majority of my music on my phone... Google Music wasn't cutting it.
This is all assuming I'm not getting ripped off.
I have probably bought over 20 things from them, very good deals.. Toshiba Thrive 10 inch tablet for $250, crazy expensive watches worth $350 for $60 brand new with warranty and everything, PS3 Move stuff, RC Helicopter haha
Love their site, never been ripped off!
Thanx for this

Ya I wouldn't want a class 4, I'll start posting some deals when I can. I just bought another 32gb samsung class 10 the new version for 25.99 cheapest I've ever seen it. Also there was an article about 3months or so back about sd cards that actually slow down performance. It rated a bunch of cards and not even all class 10 card are created equal

Hey if someone would like to clue me in on how to test the r/w speed on the micro sd card, I'd be happy to give some info on this class 10 card.
It shows as being $32.99 + $1.99 shipping on their website. It's still a great price if it really is a class 10 card but thought I'd clarify the price.

What about transferring a movie over to the SD card and looking at the megabytes per second speed???? Do the same test on the class 2 with the same movie and compare.
FYI: For people in Canada, Newegg.ca has the same card for sale...16GB Class 10
I bought one and am using it in my phone -- and it seems fast enough.
I've also partitioned it for swap -- the rest for MP3s -- but anyhow...
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820161405
It's CA$28.99 + $9.99 S+H
Given the current exchange rate, Fry's is a better deal -- but at least it doesn't have to cross the border (ergo, no duty)
Just found out that Fry's has a class 10 32gb Sd card for $35. Today only 12/26/2011!!!!

Did yo have to do any tweaks or is this the performance you got straight out of the package?
Can someone run a crystalmark benchmark on these ..
I curious to see if the 4k random R/W speeds are reasonable (as opposed to many class 10's which are 50-100 times slower than a class 4 card).
FYI read This
and check out this card
you don't need much random write access performance.(there is really no reason to do app2sd anymore as you have almost 30GB for apps)
I got 2 GB on SGS2 for apps and I have a hard time filling it up.
If movies are what u usually move around, definitely get a class 10
I am going to be using it for movies and music. I figure I can load up both Sd cards with movies and music and swap them out when I want something new. Also I don't think we should have a need of a2sd with the internal memory it has. I just don't want to fill up the internal memory up with my movies and music. I rather have room for other things like pictures, video's, apps and other stuff.

Got mine on Amazon for a little less (real little) and free shipping ( http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-32GB-...JYCY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325739855&sr=8-1 ).
The SanDisk Class 4 was the go-to card for the NC (there's a chart floating around about r/w speed for different classes, sizes, and brands. Anything above a Class 4 is not recommended for this device (IMO) -- due to the performance-to-dollar ratio of the higher priced cards.
A little more then a dollar a gig... I'd say it's good

My comment was in reference to the cost/benefit of the steep performance vs. cost slope of investing in higher class cards.
My friend and I bought a Class 10 32 gig for only $39. I personally do not like Sandisk as a brand and was pleased to not buy their product, but that is just my taste.
Class 10 32gig that was rated well cost me about $50.

yea the one you linked to has sales tax which puts it like 20 cents below the price of newegg lol thanks for your opinion though
EDIT: oops, forgot to actually check and it doesn't have any sales tax! wow i actually just might get it from amazon then, even if it might take a bit longer... newegg(4-7 business days) vs amazon (5-8 business days) lol...
EDIT2: the link you provided, the pic of the card doesn't say what class it is and apparently there is a "newer" model here: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-micro...M-032G/dp/B004G60AD6/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
surprisingly enough, its actually cheaper than the one you provided by like 20 cents after shipping and tax are calculated... yea the "newer" one needs shipping, but still no tax which is good...

Don't you think the onboard flash controller would be a limiting factor in the performance of that card? If a Class 4/6's performance on the Nook Tablet is near equal to the performance of a Class 10 on the Nook Tablet then wouldn't you think that the top end performance of the onboard flash controller is 6MB/s?
Just saying, a faster card may not be better, no matter how fast, or how much it cost if the onboard technology simply can't keep up it'll just work like a slower card.
Look at Micro Center's prices. They are a good gauge. Be careful buying ones off ebay, there are folks selling counterfeit ones.

I like to think that I'm thinking ahead. these were designed specifically with tablets and phones in mind. Right now I'm running a class 6 8gb I bought for my G1 originally. My phone is a shift, and I have a nook tablet in the way also. Once the tablet is fully and completely rooted and running cm9, it will be my primary android device for my work. The 8gb class 6 will go back to being my phones storage. As a side note, I have a 16gb class 4 card also. I could clearly see a difference running it. My phone would choke and sometimes corrupt the images when transferring numerous pictures at once via USB cable to my PC. Never had this problem before or after with the 8gb c6 card.
And, if nothing else ... I spent 30 bucks for a cool ass blue stripe! Lol.

I have thoroughly tested the class 4 sd card from transcend sold by Newegg. They work with everything I have put the NT through and work very well with playing video from SD. Work very well with Acclaim 1.4.1 revert to 1.4.0 I just shot a video of this and the new SD card root process.

I do as well, but hell, if I am out 35 bucks I'll just do a chargeback or some such, or just eat the cost. It shows I should expect delivery between the 15th and 28th of March, so we shall see.
My gut feeling says it's counterfeit...but the fact the seller is charging such a low price for it makes it easier to 'take the hit' if it is in fact counterfeit.
It's mainly the fact that it's coming from China...and how they're notorious for selling fake memory cards and other merchandise. On top of that, that particular eBay seller doesn't have much total feedback, compared to other China eBayers who typically have many thousands.
Even though the shipment time interval seems to be between 3-5 weeks, who knows...you might end up receiving it much earlier (like in half that estimated time frame).
Keep us posted when you receive the goods.
I thought SD maxes out at 32gb. Anything larger will be SDXC. Does the note even support SDXC?
I also remember reading that counterfeiters will sell fake flash memory that reports itself as the correct size but is programmed to overwrite itself once it goes over the actual physical amount of space on the card. For example you bought a 64gb card and it's really only 16b once you load up over 16bg it will start overwriting itself.
He's also got a 32 GB card for $14
Too good to be true... either stolen or counterfeit is my guess. But for those who are getting it and gets it to work, Grats!

It's called 'fixing' a SD card. There's a way to format the card where it fools the system into thinking that it's 32gb or 64gb, so that's what it will show up as 32gb or 64gb on the phone or computer, but in reality it's only 4gb. Long time scam, nothing new here.
Yeah... this is really strange. Get a suggestion and buy it from Amazon - real stuff & real price!
I get the feeling it's not actually 64gb. Not to mention that the card may have a high failure rate.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
Acttualy if you check in alixpress.com you will find that 64GB card is 8 USD.
And that is a partly true. The other part is that 64 GB is written on the card but that capacity is 2 GB.
Once you max out the actual capacity your files get screwed beyond repair.
Worst gag gift ever!
I don't feel good on this one...
Are people seriously falling for these scams?
You honestly want class 10 high speed cards anyway as the Note 3 has USB 3.0... I sometimes like to take the card out the phone and plug it into my 3.0 adapter to get even higher transfer speeds on my 64gb card. (curious that the Note 3 slows the transfer rate down but whatever)
Just saw the thread title... Honestly, how stupid would you have to be?
Just don't do it. I learned my lesson with cheap SD cards. I had serious home button lag when waking the phone. Long story short switched to a class 10 Samsung 64gb and all lag is gone.
