Just because the topic came up, I will say this. Normally I would just go on being silently annoyed:
It is totally inefficient to flood every topic with senseless "thank you" posts. It makes reading threads a total mess. I think this is why people don't read threads. For example the "[GT-I9100G] CyanogenMod, ClockworkMod and more..." thread, wich really is a great thread. It's a total pain having to read 4 Pages of "yeah - looking forward to it. Besides the poll, and the thank you button, I think code does know, that half the world would be thankful for getting their phone freed. Every time I come here and see, that there is a new post, I really get pissed, to see another "great, go on - I believe in you" post!
So .... enough fussing! I agree to the above comment regarding a thread cleanup!
Further more: I did read both stickies. I think there is a I9100G Wiki missing. A celan thread just pointing out, what needs to be pointed out about hardware specs, themes, rooting, modding ect. That would really be a benefit, and would keep peolple from posting stupid questions (like mine about kernel and mod).
Is there anyone capapble of creating a good wiki?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the fussing. Just had to say it once ...

What difference does that make, are you new to forums in general or just this one?
Its pretty much common sense to..
Search first.
Check sticky topics.
Read forum titles/descriptions before creating topics in them.
Use descriptive titles.
Just because you are new to this forum makes no difference, Its the same for ALL forums and just shows laziness and lack or respect to just post randomly before even attempting to check if topics already exist or post in right section.

Do you really think the people that repost the same things in new threads are going to read this one, only the people who don't are reading this!
There would be no forum with no threads..people are just excited for the release and this is the only real outlet for it..in the general discussion forum with like minded ppl..

Wanna do something cool - My xPlay needs to stand out

Hey guys.
I'm not the only one among my friends who has the play anymore. I used to be cool person when i showed them some emulators and stuff. Yes my friends are r-tards and didn't know how to get emulators and so on. bla bla bla.
What I'm trying to say is that i wanna do something cool with my xPlay. A hack, a mod or anything like that. I wanna be able to say "Oh yeah? but can your play do THIS?!". And no I'm not gay or anything, just trying to have some fun with my friends.
I'm one 2.3.3 and rooted. And that's pretty much it.
So do you guys have any cool suggestions?
What about this. This is my play and i think its xool. Especially love the status bar icons etc.

If you want your play to stand out buy a gellaskin btw this is soooooo the wrong section, you should never post questions in the development section, only devs should post here

Well unless you are suggesting that you are going to develop something (say a screen-sharing over USB-Debug kernel module and app controls to PC) Some physical mod or theming/app thing isn't really Dev work.
Development (to my knowledge, correct me if I'm wrong) is more for OS, kernel, unlocking, and low-level stuff. Possibly for app/code development of an app or module that requires lots of Device specific coding. Beyond that, it should be in General, or possibly in the Apps/Themes section.
(sorry to rebump this with my response)

Or themes and apps, generally the only people that should post in the android development section are devs themselves, thats so its easy for people to find roms/mods/hacks ect if the section is free from questions

Yeah i know. But i'm not looking for a new theme. I'm looking for a modification. Like for example: I had an iphone before, and you couldn't use multitasking on it (like 1,5 years ago), but with the help of some mods and jailbreak you could. That's the type of stuff i'm looking for, cool modification. AND THATS why I posted this thread here in the development part of the forum. I know it was wrong because i'm writing a question, but maybe mods will let this one slip for a change

There isn't any possibility to stop this spam threads that appear every day on P500 forums?
It's seems everyone that just want to ask or something is creating a new thread. Can't be only some few moderators that can make threads by request or approval from a moderator to make a thread if the new thread is helping other ppl?
The General thread is look like hell, everyday new non-sense threads are created instead of searching the answers on the existing threads. I think is necessary that some other threads must be sticky that new users or existing users to be able to find answers easier.
There must be a solution to stop this.
I can see that a lot of people are not checking the sticky threads, like the most important one "[Q/A] LG Optimus-One/ V / T / S (Ask related questions here before making a thread)", before making a new thread or asking questions in a wrong thread.
well xda cud actually add a community chat based on java or flash and each phones thread...
it wud make it easier to get live help from the pros for the noobs...

FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
No one can guess from the title, what is your problem
And why the f"ck so many people say "KERNAL" instead of "KERNEL"??

And BTW you should be respectful to devs. After all is their creation that are/would be running your device. No offence but we should not flame.
And I had read somewhere that using zRam might harm your device.

How may I do it?
Boohooo.. Now run to mommy and tell how I hurt your feelings.
And now in all seriousness, theres no such thing as ideal value for zram, hell its an experimental feature, may or may not give good result. Recommend value for noob really is zero, ie dont use it. Linux kernel source put it in staging section where all feature that arent approve by upstream were. Cyanogen put it in the perfomance menu in setting where it pops warning about dragons ahead, and its not activated by default. Its not endorse by linux kernel nor by cyanogen. Got the picture now?
