Dear Xda community...
I would just like to check if there is anything wrong with the xda app as when i go into suscribe topics or any other topics e.g. android development and when i go into the topic and press the back key, it goes straight to home screen... shouldn't it go back to the list of menu instead? Is anyone facing this problem?
I'm running checkrom v4.0 n using stock kernal...

FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
No one can guess from the title, what is your problem
And why the f"ck so many people say "KERNAL" instead of "KERNEL"??

I have an idea for the first question. How to back up everything on your phone to your pc. From what you will need on your pc to what apps needed on phone. Be nice to have this info incase something goes wrong during flashing. People would benefit if titanium failed to back it up. This happened to me flashing to obsidian 4.2 from bionix final.

If someone has a question, then they can ask here.. They don't need to go through something extra to do it. If you are talking about making a stick of Q&A's well, I don't think people would really even look at that.

Far be it from me to disagree with master, but I think its a good idea. Could be a good place to send rookies when they have a question. And also I have asked a few questions here and they were never answered...
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Plus I lot of the people who are capable of answering questions dont spend alot of time here. And when you ask a question in, say a new rom thread it gets lost in the shuffle over there!

He throws around his "super mod powers" like a 15 year old boy that just hit puberty. As a matter of fact he actually may indeed be 15.
Its no wonder a ton of people complain about him. Keep up the good work red5!
Go ahead and lock this one too. Along with anything else in GENERAL that you don't see fit.
Ick... I'm glad I'm vacating this part of the site. Its disgusting over here.

Lol anything in general can be considered useless! In general we should be allowed to talk about what color our shoes are and why!!!
He locks threads every 5 seconds and no one can stand him.

you really should take up your issues with the proper moderators via private messages. Creating a public thread will not get you anywhere and will just create more useless posts.

This is true. Just blowing off steam. I'm sure others have already complained about him but my vote will be in soon enough. He doesn't seem to frequent the other boards for my other phones so at least I won't have to deal with him soon.

The fact remains that we should all be able to post randomness in general without it being locked every 5 seconds. I frequent this board a LOT and red5 is the ONLY mod who consistently abuses his powers.
Hey god forbid someone would start a thread that might strike up a debate. Better lock it immediately as soon as there is a disagreement.

If you want randomness head on over to 4chan.
If you have a (genuine) issue with a moderator then raise it in the proper manner.
First i was inspired of this by andyharney
i just copied this because ace dont know a lot of searchin atleast i think
Orginal idea link
Code:
XDA Forum Rule 1.
HTML:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
Code:
Firstly you need to identify what you need to find.
HTML:
Aww, that ROM I like. The download link doesn't work. I need to find a working link.
Code:
Now, enter the ROM thread you wish to search & click this button -->
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now enter your search term -->
Code:
Wow, there is a few results. What next?
Now XDA has done a little of the work for you, you have to do the rest.
IF after exhausting every post that is returned from the search you cannot find the answer. Use the same technique that you just learn't to search the General & Q&A forums.
This time the button looks a little different. Don't let that put you off. Click this one instead -->
Code:
But Wait, I'm using the XDA App!
HTML:
Have no fear, you don't think XDA would have an app that wouldn't let you adhere to the rules, surely not.
Just open your XDA App, hit this -->
then this -->
HTML:
If your lucky enough to have a hardware "Search" button, you can hit that too.
HTML:
Now if you still don't find what you are looking for. You may post.
HTML:
Failure to adhere to the XDA Forum Rules may lead to a Warning and/or Infraction.

This is a very good thread born from a good idea. But it's also a little bit disheartening since you kinda get the inkling of the forum members' IQ level when you see this kind of an "obvious guide of the obvious" is actually made real.

Hi,
I wonder if there is anyway to decompile/edit/recompile an apk with an android device?
I think that would be great.enables devs/themers work on their projects while they're away from PCs and make use for some dead times.(like long hours on the way to home/work)

That's very nice bro! very nice.
I just thought Q&A section is some kind of trouble-shooting thing, based on it's first 2,3 pages.
anyway I admit that it's my bad and I apologize for that.
but can't you be more helpful and answer to the question, instead of making fun of a small mistake? Technically you posted something absolutely useless. which in my opinion is way greater mistake than mine.

That's the only thing about the XDA website I don't like - don't get me wrong, I think it's great - but whenever I want to really dig I into something and the answer is not quickly apparent then I am stuck looking all over or risk getting flamed like you are. Yes, it is a pain but it's an issue that appears to have no answer so you just have to go through the pain of looking forever to find what you want. Probably makes people scared to ask a question, because they have to look all over the place to ensure nobody ever gave an answer to their question. Ugh!

For everything else, there's Google.
But honestly, all I do is enter the search term in Google, append XDA at the end and hit 'Search'. Gets me what I need in the first page, usually the first result. Never failed me till now. No need to ask, no getting flamed.
